Rajchman, Zbyněk ; Pazdera, Ivo (referee) ; Aboelhassan, Mustafa Osman Elrayah (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to describe the mathematical model of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) using (d-q axis). The d-q model of the PMSM has been developed on rotor reference frame, it is done by converting the three phase voltages an currents to dq variables by using Parks transformation. The mathematical model of PMSM has been verified and designed in MATLAB-SIMULINK.

The Magnetic Field Analysis Project of Synchronous Machine deals with program for magnetic field analysis of synchronous machine cross section. This program is written in detail along with the necessary theory of synchronous machine and the ANSYS program. After this the program for using different types of sectional wires modification is made – in the concrete for round conductors. It is attained the numeric computing method – The Finite Element Method. To creation of the magnetic field simulation serves ANSYS program, which uses The Finite Element Method.
Short circuit current of synchronous generator
Šebesta, Ondřej ; Orságová, Jaroslava (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the problematics of short-circuit current of synchronous machine. The first section focuses on the theoretical process of short-circuit current of synchronous machine and describes how this transient process changes throughout it's duration and with what reactances and time constants it is defined. Subsequently, this section deals with the methodics of tests of the snychronous machine, which may be used to set it's reactances. The second part of the work focuses on measurement of the short-circuit current in a specific synchronous machine. Further, there are measurements of processes of the short-circuit in time and their analysis. The last section of the thesis deals with the simulation of short-circuit current process. The simulation is ran by the Matlab/Simulink software. Simulated processes of short-circuit are then compared with the results of measurements from the previous section of the thesis.
Auxiliary winding supplying the voltage regulator of synchronous generator
Hrtáň, Michal ; Hájek, Vítězslav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
The theme of this thesis is the design and verification of the auxiliary winding to supply the voltage regulator of the synchronous generator. The synchronous generator for which the auxiliary winding proposed is three-phase, low voltage with double layer random wound stator winding. The generator excitation is brushless with auxiliary rotating exciter. The auxiliary winding is designed for placement in the stator teeth, along with the main winding. The sizing of the auxiliary winding is derived from the power requirements the voltage regulator. Draft winding is validated analytical calculation and finite element method (FEM). The auxiliary winding has been implemented in the production of the generator. The Features of the auxiliary winding have been verified by measuring the by electrical testing room and the test results are evaluated.

Sádlík, Jiří ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Kurfűrst, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis provides complete design of generator into a spinning bike. The issue of current development is solved and the analytical design of the generator is made. The software Maxwell is being used for the analysis and optimization. On the basis of the obtained results is designed a model and a design drawing of the generator. The end of the thesis deals with the issue of connecting the generator to the mains supply and price calculation of the investment return.

This master’s thesis is focused on the analysis of the excitation current in synchronnous machines. Contains a description of excitation systems for synchronous machines, meaning and design of the sliding contact ant its representation in electrical machines. The main part of the work is focused on the evaluation of the field current of the three plants. The work includes graphic record of the excitation current of the hydroelectric power station Slapy, provided record from the power plant Opatovice was for evaluating load of turbo-generators. Provided record from the nuclear power plant Temelín was for evaluating.current division into individual brushes. The conclusion is a summary of the achieved knowledge.
Analysis of thermal properties of the synchronous machine
Paszek, Michal ; Hájek, Vítězslav (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
In this Master´s thesis will be performed an analysis of thermal properties of synchronous machines in the program Ansys Workbench on a simplified model of synchronous traction motor. In the first section will be performed thermal analysis without cooling followed by analysis of air flow and finally thermal analysis with cooling for fan speed 1500 min-1 and 3000 min-1. The second section will describe the principle, construction and losses on the synchronous machine. The third chapter will describe concepts such as heat, temperature, heat transfer, types of the heat transfer, specific heat capacity, emisivity and thermal conductivity. The fourth chapter will introduce the program Ansys Workbench, finite element method and Ansys CFX. In the fifth chapter will be described how to perform thermal analysis on the created model of motor. The sixth chapter will describe how to analyze the air flow of the created model of motor. The flow analysis will be performed for fan speed 1500 min-1 and 3000 min-1. In the seventh chapter will be compared the results of the air flow and pressure field in the motor model. In the eighth chapter will be performed a thermal analyzis on the created motor model with cooling for fan speed 1500 min-1 and 3000 min-1. The nineth chapter will compare the results of temperatures and heat fluxes obtained from the thermal analysis witnout cooling, with cooling for fan speed 1500 min-1 and 3000 min-1 for full losses, half losses of continous running, and full losses of interrupt running for 9000 seconds (2 hours 30 minutes).
Ventilation calculations in synchronous machine
Judas, Jan ; Deeb, Ramia (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
The aim of the project was to get familiar with the environment of ANSYS CFX, create several models of fans and synchronous machine model in Autodesk inventor, create model of cooling medium flow through the machine with these fans and evaluation of results. Firstly the thesis describes the synchronous machine itself, losses of the machine, the flow of power of synchronous machine and methods of its cooling. Next the thesis describes each kind of heat transfer, laminar and turbulent flow. The thesis also refers of kind of the fans and the program used to calculate the flow Ansys CFX, including the method that Ansys used to calculate. The work describes the individual modification of fans and setting of calculation in ANSYS. Then displays the results of the analysis these fans for different numbers of fan blades and for modification of the fan. Then the thesis analyzes selected modifications due to changing speed. In the last chapter shows the analysis of flow in the machine with three different fans. In particular, there is shown the mass flow rate, pressure and its distribution on areas for evaluation.
Analysis of the stator and rotor pack termination effect on the synchronous machine by FEM
Michailidis, Petr ; Valenta, Jiří (referee) ; Skalka, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with simulation’s possibilities of the electromagnetic fields in electrical machines. A finite element method is the final element technique. The content of this thesis is a model and mesh creation and electromagnetic simulation of synchronous machine. The stator and rotor pack termination effect on the synchronous machine.is analyzed by finite element method in ANSYS program. The type of the stator termination pack is described by four segments. The magnetic field distribution is deformed due to the material properties of used segments. In the next part a methodics of mesh creation is shown. The mesh quality (in term of elements number and elements shape) is important due to the solution accuracy and speed.
