Diagnosis of muscle imbalances using TMG in women's artistic gymnastics
Lipšanová, Tereza ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Krištofič, Jaroslav (referee)
Title: Diagnosis of muscle imbalances using TMG in women's artistic gymnastics. Objectives: The main goal of this bachelor thesis was to diagnose functional muscular tension measured by the tensiomyograph TMG100. We especially focused on biceps brachii, triceps brachii, and deltoid muscles. 5 girls from one of the best Prague's artistic gymnastics clubs participated in this study. All the participants had the same training time and the same training plan. Methods: This bachelor thesis is a case study. The research is done qualitatively, by mapping a small number of participants. The actual measurements on the tensiomyograph, the analysis of the results and the recommendations made thereon were performed on five selected individuals. Results: Based on our findings, we formulated two hypotheses. Hypothesis 1: As a result of training, the biceps brachii is shortened on the dominant side and the contralateral side is weakened. Hypothesis 2: As a result of training, the triceps brachii is shortened on the contralateral side. Key words: artistic gymnastics, tensiomyograph, diagnostics of muscle imbalances, muscles of upper limbs
Kinematic and kinetic analysis of artistic gymnastic jumps
Benetková, Hana ; Panská, Šárka (advisor) ; Tlapáková, Eva (referee)
Title: Kinematic and kinetic analysis of artistic gymnastic jumps Objectives: The aim of my master thesis is execution of kinematic - kinetic analysis of jumps in artistic gymnastics, processing data, counting force moment, which does the rotation around ventrodorsal axis, means abduction and adduction motion and recount normalized moment (moment share by body weight). Methods: The kinematic - kinetic analysis of jumps in artistic gymnastics was done by using systems Qualysis Motion Capture System and Kistler. Results: We have been researching four different gymnastic jumps in this study. Four healthy individuals underwent the measurement. They have done each jump in free valid times. There was measured abduction moment of knee joint in each jump. Adduction moments were present only in 32 % cases and lot of them hasn't significant value. There was measured abduction moment in bounces in each jump, value of standardized adduction moment wasn't signifiant. There was measured just abduction moments in dismounts of non-rotational jumps. In dismounts of rotational jumps (around longitudinal axes) was measured abduction and also adduction moment. Values of normalized abduction moments were between 0,3 - 11 m2 .s-2 . Values of normalized adduction moments were between 0 - 10 m2 .s-2 . Highest values of...
Adaptation of organism on training load in artistic gymnastics
Duba, Jiří ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Chrudimský, Jan (referee)
Title: Adaptation of organism on training load in artistic gymnastics Objectives: The goal of this crosscutting study is to discover how the artistic gymnasts in prechool age and school age differ from other children in the same age category. Methods: The method of this study consisted of analysis of body composition of 82 boys in age 7,51 ±1,9. Kruskal Wallis test was used to test the hypothesis of conformity in the results of individual variables across test groups to compare differences among all groups. A Mann- Whitney U test with Bonferroni correction was used in post-hoc analysis. Results: Statistically significant differences between gymnasts and other participants were found in the percentage body fat. The school age with values (p ˂ 0,001), (r = 0,542) and the preschool age (p = 0,015), (r = 0,530). There were not statistically significant differences in the other measures. Conclusion: Surprisingly, gymnasts in both age groups did not differ very much in most categories. Statistically significant difference was between gymnasts and other in percentage body fat, where gymnasts had these values much lower across all categories. Evaluation the level of acquiring slected skills of artistic gymnastics in the basic training stage
Trkalová, Hana ; Chrudimský, Jan (advisor) ; Novotná, Viléma (referee)
Title: Evulation the level of acquiring selected skills of artistic gymnastics in the basic training stage Objectives: The main goal to be achieved in my thesis is to asses the changes in the adoption level of selected motor skills of gymnasts aged 7-9 years in the basic training. Methods: I used qualitative and quantitative methods of research to resolve main goals of this thesis and to find answers on established scientific questions and the resulting hypothesis. The most important is the choice of appropriate criterion of evaluation according to the evaluation of the adoption level of selected gymnastic skills.Gained datas will be processed through statistics methods. Training diary will be used to monitor and record the content of the training. Results: Results show that the adoption level of selected skills improved at predetermined skills as well as for all the tested gymnasts. Keywords: artistic gymnastics, evaluation, gymnastics skills
Formative influence of artistic gymnastics on girls' posture in age between 11 -15 years old
Šulcová, Petra ; Kolbová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Novotná, Viléma (referee)
Title: Formative influence of artistic gymnastics on girls' posture in age between 11 - 15 years old. This diploma thesis deals with posture problems of female gymnasts in age between 11 - 15 years old, the main task concerns with posture conditions and movement apparatus. We have chosen standartized tests that deal with quality of posture according to Klein and Thomas, Mathias' test and motion tests according to Janda, Kabelikova and Vavrova as the main sources of information. We can evaluate the influence and suitability of the exercise, means and methods in the training of artistic gymnastics. The thesis tries to show the significant influence of the training load on the level of posture and movement system. The data that have been obtained are placed in relevant forms. We used quantitative approach as the main resarch method. Other methods like observing and describing were used to elaborate the tests' results. To complete the task we have used opinion poll. All the results were interpreted by means of comparison in Microsoft Office Word. The aim of the work is to contribute to the discussion about problems of posture in artistic gymnastics in the age group that has been mentioned above. The results showed us that because of the specific training load in artistic gymnastics, the major load is...
Level of coordination abilities of young school age artistic gymnasts
Bendová, Eva ; Hájková, Jana (advisor) ; Mojžíš, Otakar (referee)
This master thesis focuses on the influence that artistic gymnastics has on the coordination abilities of young school age girls. The purpose of this thesis was to use motor tests in the field to compare the level of coordination abilities of young school age artistic gymnasts with that of non-sporting girls. The tests results were subsequently statistically evaluated and commented upon. Another aim of the thesis was to compare the coordination abilities of artistic gymnasts aged 6 - 8 years with those of artistic gymnasts aged 9 - 11 years whilst they were undertaking particular tests. From the tests results it can be seen that artistic gymnastics has a positive effect on the level of the childrens coordination abilities. This finding is supported by the fact that in all tests the artistic gymnasts succeeded better than the non-sporting girls. Of the two groups the older girls (9 - 11 years) were more succesful than the younger group (6 - 8 years). The theoretical part of the thesis describes the Child's Motor Development, emphasizing the relationship between coordination abilities and young school age. It discusses the environment of the branch of sport called "women's artistic gymnastics" and the need for the children's sports training.

The analysis of causality between evolution of apparatus and development of reports in women's artistics gymnastics
TŮMOVÁ, Marie
The thesis provides an overview of historical evolution in gymnastics worldwide and also evolution in our country. It is focused on the history of women's artistic gymnastics. The emphasis is placed on the development of balance beam, as it is the main gymnastic apparatus in women's artistic gymnastics. The thesis, based on the study of historical sources, provides a summary of the characteristics of balance beam and describes the movements on this apparatus and defines the current regulations for the exercise on the balance beam according to the current rules of women's gymnastics.
