Integration of individuals into social groups in different life situations in the selected region

This thesis deals with the issue of integration of individuals into a social group in different life situations in the Pilsen region. Primarily it focuses to forms of assistance which are provided by the region to the children leaving the Halfway house or the children home established by the Pilsen region. The thesis analyzes public opinions on the issue of integration of the children from the children home into society and finds out their own positions of adolescents, executives and employees of social facilities. It also analyzes the issue within the development of the Pilsen region. The objective is to propose ways to integrate individuals without a family into the social groups in different life situations in the Pilsen region. The theoretical part deals with the period of socialization of a child and the absence of a family as the main factor of socialization. It describes a system of constitutional education in the Czech Republic, the lives of children in the Halfway house and programs on the issues of leaving the children home. The field research is performed with a purpose of achieving objectives, sub-objectives work and then interpret their results. The results obtained and subsequent recommendation are summarized for the establishing institution children home (thus Pilsen Region) in the conclusion of this work. To achieve the main objective is proposed the way to integrate individuals into the social groups in the form of new work position social guide.

Attitudes towards political parties in Czech society – September 2016

In September, the Public Opinion Research Centre asked a set of questions related to attitudes of the Czech citizens towards Czech political parties. The results suggest that majority of population adopts mainly negative attitudes towards them. Besides other things, people are convinced that political parties are interested in them only before elections; they do not feel an opportunity to change something by entering to a political party and suspect political parties from corruption. Since last year, the negative attitudes towards political parties strengthened.

Food waste as a social problem - June 2016

In June 2016 Public Opinion Research Centre AV ČR, v.v.i., examined the attitudes and behaviors declared by the Czech public with regard to the basic dimensions of the issue of food wastage: (1.) The urgency of the problem and the reasons that motivate individuals to reduce food waste. (2.) The estimated amount of food thrown away in the household and the reasons that lead to food wastage. (3.) The Organization of purchasing and its impact on waste. These findings are then set into the context of international comparisons, especially with Britain and the United States.

Attitude of Czech Public to genetically modified food - June 2016

In June 2016 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to genetically modified food. Specifically, it was investigated whether respondents are familiar with the issue. Respondents commented their interest in genetically modified food. Subsequently, how often respondents monitor data on genetically modifying food or product ingredients on product labels. The last part of the block was a set of statements regarding the safety of eating such food, scientific knowledge of their impact on human health and the buying genetically modified food. The report also offers some comparison of the results of research by the Pew Research Centre in the US.

Nuclear power phase-out in Germany

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to explore the nuclear power phase-out in the Federal Republic of Germany. The core part of this thesis focuses on the process which had led to the signature of the Atomic Energy Act Amendment in 2002. Since the way how the German public and some political parties came to the nuclear power phase-out is of significant importance, the development of opinions on atomic energy in the German public between 1955 and 1986 is described at the beginning. The next chapter presents the attitude to the nuclear power phase-out in the elections to Bundestag in 1998 on the basis of election programs of political parties (CDU/CSU, FDP, SPD, Bündniss 90/Die Grünen, PDS). The second part of the thesis deals with the process which resulted in the Atomic Energy Act Amendment. Firstly, the creation of the new government and negotiations about the new coalition agreement are explained. Consequently, the thesis deals with the suggestions of the two coalition parties how the nuclear power phase-out should be arranged. This is pointed out at the concepts which both government parties prepared. Also the reasons for founding the forum "Energiedialog 2000" are presented.
