Consumer credits and tools used for their comparison

This bachelor thesis deals with consumer credits. It aims to familiarize potential applicant for the consumer credit with fundamental information and facts which are necessary for orientation in these broad problems. At the beginning, new law, which came into force in January 2011, is analyzed in detail. That is followed by an introduction of methods of classification of consumer credits with emphasis on mutual differences between particular types. Principal part focuses on methods of assessing and comparison of advantages of consumer credits by means of interest rate, rate of increase and annual percentage rate of costs. Finally, particular bank and non-bank credit offers are compared by using above mentioned tools of evaluation of the profitability of credits.

Integration tendency of financial markets with emphases on insurance business incorporation

Principal aim of this thesis is the analysis of integration processes of financial markets with emphases on implementation of insurance business incorporation to banking segment. This thesis surveys the history of bancassurance, reasons of reciprocal cooperation between banks and insurance companies, models of settlement for bancassurance companies and conditions for their successful business. Then the thesis analyses a different level of integration trend on the financial markets in the European Union with emphasis on penetration of bancassurance in the Czech Republic. The conclusion considers future of bancassurance segment.

Celda Klouček - personality and work

This work is deling with personality and work of Celda Kloucek, a sculptor and ornamentalist living at the turn of 20th century. Celda Kloucek was born 6th December 1855 in Senomaty near Rakovnlk. Advised by his patron Milller, he decided to accept a position with ornamentalist sculptor Otto Lessing in Berlin, where he got his first professional training. Kloucek turned out to be an excellent sculptor, especially in ornamental construction work. The contracts were diverse and he learned to work with many different materials. In 1879 he enroled in professor Otto Konig special course at Arts and Crafts School in Vienna. After three years, he became a reader at Arts and Crafts School in Frankfurt am Main. In 1888, he opened his atelier at Arts and Crafts School in Prague. He was teaching here for twenty-eight years. Many recognized artists emerged from his atelier, all of them adhering to Kloucek's emphasis on clarity of composition and simplicity of the ornament. Kloucek's work evolved from ornamental creations on house exteriors in neo-Rennaissance and neo-baroque style to naturalism, and finally to Art Noveau, in which he created his master pieces: Wohanka house portal (1898), Museum of Western Bohemia in Pilsen (1900-1901), Prague Credit bank (1902), Blecha house (1904), and Order of the Cross monastery...

Regulator´s response to the crisis – European rating agency

Bachelor thesis follows the development of European regulation of the rating market and other important milestones for this market. Each point is elaborated with causality and criticized. The main emphasis is on analyzing the current project of the European rating agency. In addition to introduction and evaluation the specifics of the project the thesis provides conclusions regarding the validity and usefulness based on consultation with the portfolio managers of Czech banks and insurance companies.

Procedures against money laundering

The bachelor thesis deals with money laundering activities, respectively measures adopted and implemented in the fight against this financial crime, incidentally, it goes very close on the financing of terrorism. At the initial definition of money laundering, its general characteristics and particular stages of the own process follows chapter analyzes the development and current status of legislative measures on different levels. Special emphasis is placed on the activities of the Financial Analysis Department of the Treasury and its role in the issue. The final passage looks at money laundering in terms of Czech commercial banks; the main attention is paid to the legal obligations under current legislation, with emphasis on their practical application.

Payment cards and loyalty programs

The object of this bachelor thesis is payment cards and loyalty programs. In the first, general, part the thesis deals with basic description of payment cards, i.e. history, particular sorts of payment cards, their legal form and characterizes a loyalty program. Next part of the thesis consists of practical part -- it is aimed for analyses of bank institutions with emphasis on their loyalty program and other services to payment cards.

The change of goals in corporate governance of Canadian companies

The purpose of my thesis "The change of goals in corporate governance of Canadian companies" is to find out CSR activities of chosen companies with emphasis on ecological and social activities. It examines the change of view on product manufacturing and thereby the influence on stakeholders. In the first part of thesis I focus on theoretical base of corporate governance and CSR. It zooms in the differences between two approaches -- focus on shareholders and focus on stakeholders. I analyze tools and methods of corporate governance and their influence on evaluation. In the second part I focus on analysis of real companies and application of theoretical knowledge from the first part of thesis. I analyze three Canadian companies, RioTinto Alcan -- mining company, MEC -- producer of outdoor equipment, RBC Bank -- Canadian bank. All companies are the best in their industries. Analysis of activities of three companies enables point to general CSR rules not only in Canadian environment. It is possible to demonstrate world trends of ecological and social projects and activities.

The emphasis is placed on the evaluation of financial indicators in terms of banking institutions and the rating according to the methodology by the international rating agency.

Payment cards in practice and their analysis

The subject of bachelor thesis is a payment card and its concepts in terms of practice. The payment cards are seen primarily from the current users, i.e. holders of payment cards. The thesis deals with the areas of their origin and development, description of basic characteristics and solves the current issues related to security, especially in the Czech Republic. Thesis is also focused on the practical analysis of payment cards in which the emphasis places on the bank charges associated with the use of payment cards.

Measuring quality of business environment.

The work deals with issues relating to the business environment and evaluation of its quality. Various elements of the business environment are discussed on the base of different approaches to evaluate its quality. However, emphasis is placed on the methodology of the World Bank -- Doing Business Index. The work carries out an objective analysis of this index to evaluate its informative ability and identify main potential users of the data obtained in Doing Business. Objectivity of analysis consists in the examining of the index methodology, and also in examining the perspective of its critics. In a practical part of work, taking into account historical and geopolitical conditions, are made recommendations which could advance Czech republic upwards in the rating.
