Addictive drug taking (lawful and unlawful) by high school and vocational college (comparative analysis)
ŠPÍREK, David
The thesis is focused on high school and vocational school students in the South Bohemia Region and their experience with the use of addictive substances. This work identifies possible links influencing substance use among students in four selected secondary and secondary vocational schools and relates these issues to questions of effectiveness of prevention programs implemented by these schools. The theoretical part deals with individual addictive substances, as well as the most common factors affecting substance abuse by adolescents. The issue of primary prevention in the school environment is also mentioned. The practical part is focused on obtaining the necessary data on the experience of students and apprentices with addictive substances - a questionnaire method was used. The results of this survey are presented in the form of tables and graphs. Evaluation of the data leads to a comparative analysis of selected schools in the context of prevention strategies used, levels of students" experience and their attitude towards substance abuse.
The reasons for Turnover of Nurses Working in Hospital
BÁRTOVÁ, Marie
In my diploma thesis I deal with the reasons for turnover of nurses working in hospitals. Health care workers turnover is a topical issue. It is therefore desirable to pay attention to this issue, to focus on identification of its causes and explore the motivations that lead nurses to leave their jobs. Only when we know the causes, it is possible to start fighting against turnover and to introduce measures for its reduction. The aim of the thesis was to identify causes of turnover of nurses in selected hospitals of the South Bohemian region, to survey the current state of turnover of nurses in selected hospitals of the South Bohemian region, and to identify measures imposed by the management in selected hospitals of the South Bohemian region to affect the excessive turnover of nurses. The goals of the thesis were met. Based on interviews conducted with nurses who had left their workplaces, hypotheses of this thesis were stated. These are the following hypotheses: H: 1 One of the main causes of nurse turnover is the psychically demanding job, H: 2 One of the main causes of nurse turnover is the physically demanding work of nurses, H: 3 Nurses change jobs due to problematic interpersonal relationships, H: 4 Nurses change jobs because of increasing demands for nursing competencies, H: 5 Younger nurses change jobs more frequently than older nurses, H: 6 Younger nurses change jobs because they cannot ensure care for their children when pursuing their profession, H: 7 Nurse turnover rates are uniform over all departments in selected hospitals in the South Bohemian region, and H: 8 Management of selected hospitals in the South Bohemian region implements measures to affect the excessive turnover of nurses. To verify the established hypotheses, quantitative research through a questionnaire survey was conducted in selected hospitals in the South Bohemian region. Furthermore, the interviews with the Deputy Director of Nursing in individual hospitals of the South Bohemian region were carried out. The research outcomes show that hypothesis H: 1 One of the main causes of nurse turnover is the psychically demanding job, H: 2 One of the main causes of turnover of nurse is the physically demanding work of nurses, H: 3 Nurses change jobs due to problematic interpersonal relationships, H: 5 Younger nurses change jobs more frequently than older nurses, and H: 7 Nurse turnover rates are uniform over all departments in selected hospitals in South Bohemian region, were confirmed. However, the research survey proved that H 4: Nurses change jobs because of increasing demands for nursing competencies, and H: 6 Younger nurses change jobs because they cannot ensure care for their children when pursuing their profession, cannot be uniquely confirmed. Hypothesis H: 8 Management of selected hospitals in the South Bohemian region implements measures to affect the excessive turnover of nurses was disproved by my research.
Anticipating versus reality of work of nurses in cardiosurgery department
BÁRTOVÁ, Marie
In my bachelor paper I dealt with expectation of nurses before their entry in practice and confrontation with the reality of work at hospital units. Expectation plays an important part in coping with the nursing occupation. There are many factors that can influence it both in a positive and negative way. The fast pace in current medical establishments requires that a nurse should assess, predict and evaluate the state of patients and that she should react to it within several minutes so that the care for the ill is most efficient and coordinated. Such a task is difficult for every-one but for a nurse disappointed by the health system it is an impossible task. Therefore it is important that there is a correspondence between expectations and the final reality of work.
Factors influencing the escape and spread of harmful substances
TESAŘ, Martin
Currently, harmful substances are released to the air more often and they threaten the safety of people because of their increasing amount being operated, stored and transported in the Czech Republic. The present thread is that the disasters in which harmful substances are released do not occur sporadically. Unintentional release may appear during their treatment, storage or transportation for many reasons, especially due to a natural disaster, technical cause or human failure. New causes of release have occurred recently {--} malicious intent and terrorist attack. This thesis creates a complex view of the branches of science and other areas dealing with the spread of harmful substances in the air. Emission of harmful substances is influenced by many factors which are very difficult or sometimes impossible to model mathematically. There exist a lot of mathematical models which differ according to the factor they treat. They concern models of outflow, dispersion and evaporation. The fire brigade in České Budějovice uses only one calculation model for estimating the emission of harmful substances - model ROZEX 2001.The result of this thesis may be used as a model for analysis and assessment of harmful substance release.

The dependencies between consumer prices and producer prices were analyzed in the second part. These results show that the retailers do not underestimate the prices of producers in setting their prices and they are of their great importance.

The goal of this thesis is to analyze methods and techniques applying to Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The thesis combines theoretical knowledge extracted from scientific sources and from author's experiences. Search Engine Optimization methods are divided into two major chapters according to sphere of their activity. On Page Factors -- factors occuring on web pages and Off Page Factors -- factors affecting web pages but occuring out of web pages. There is a case study at the end of this thesis. Acquired knowledge are used there. The case study is based on real-world project and includes detailed results and economical indicators.
