The social status of members of the Unity of the Brethren in Mladá Boleslav in the early 17th century
Simon, Karel ; Bobková, Lenka (advisor) ; Herčík, Karel (referee)
The Unity of the Brethren has a rich history in Mladá Boleslav. This thesis focused on the social status of members of the Unity of the Brethren in Mladá Boleslav in the early 17th century. The basic source, from which the research is based, is a part of a unique finding of the Brethren Church correspondence, which had been found in 2006. This is the registra of Boleslav corps Church from the years 1610 and 1611. By the processing and evaluation of entries in these registers is determined by amount of members of the Corps unity and their percentage representation of Bohemian Brethren in the population of the city. The participation of members of the Unity in the administration of the city has been identified according to the data in the indexes and records preserved in the books of the early 17th century. The work also pays attention to the representation of Bohemian Brethren in the leading positions of individual guilds in Mladá Boleslav. The subject of research is also the property status of the members of the Unity corps in Mladá Boleslav. Research found that in 1610 and 1611 members of the Unity corps in Mladá Boleslav were 17 % to 18 % of the population of the city. Members of the Unity of the Brethren participated in the administration of the city. The average representation of Bohamian...

International impact of unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo
Janicki, Miloš ; Matějka, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Kochan, Jan (referee)
My goal was to attempt to analyze impact of Kosovo crisis on international relations. Kosovo issue and its solutions have shaped two important principles of international relations in the last decade, which by repeating tend to become precedents. The first principle is humanitarian intervention without the mandate of UN, which was first applied in Yugoslavia in 1999. Similar action was applied in several different states during the last decade. Second principle, which is the main subject of my thesis, is unilateral declaration of independence which was recognized by more sovereign states then in previous occasions. By analysis of events in Georgia I tried to prove that separatism could become an instrument of international relations in future. Authority of UN is shaken in last decade and it could lead to reshaping of world order. Single-sided interpretation of morality and principles can replace international law. Apart from analyzing global impact of Kosovo crises I have tried to explore the problem in detail by researching the causes that let to conflict. Most of the attention I have devoted to period between 1974 and 1999, which I find crucial in the forming a situation that led to unilateral declaration in 2008. In the first part of my work I tended to explore international law arguments that were used by both followers and opponents of independence and tried to preview aspects of teory of secession

Quality of life of patients with stenosis of aortic valve
ŠVECOVÁ, Valentyna
This bachelor thesis is focused on the quality of life of patients operated for aortic valve stenosis. The aim of the thesis was to describe and compare the quality of the patients´ lives before the replacement of the native aortic valve with a mechanical or a biological valve to the state three months after the surgery. The research was done in the Cardio-Centre of the Hospital České Budějovice, a. s. The patients of the Cardio-Centre represented the studied group and were selected using the simple deliberate selection method. The research itself was done using the ?postal survey? method, i.e. without the assistance of the professional staff. Two hypotheses were established: Hypothesis 1 (H1): The quality of life of the patients suffering from aortic valve stenosis is negatively affected in the evaluated domains of HRQoL; Hypothesis 2 (H2): The quality of life of the patients with aortic valve stenosis is better three months after the surgery than before the surgery. Health related quality of life was studied using the quantitative research method based on the Short-Form SF-36 questionnaire, Generic type, in the HRQoL methodology in eight domains: physical functions, physical limitations in role activities, emotional limitations in role activities, physical and emotional limitations in social activities, pain, mental health, vitality, general perception of health status. The received data were converted into the electronic form using the related software that assessed the average score of the quality of life correlative of the state of health. The results before and after the replacement of the aortic valve were compared mutually and also to the international standard of HRQoL. The results have helped to prove that surgical replacement of the native aortic valve results in an improvement of the quality of the patients lives. It has been proved through the research that the quality of life had been improved in all domains, what confirmed the H2 hypothesis ? i.e. the quality of life of the patients with aortic valve stenosis is better three months after the surgery than before the surgery. It has been also discovered that the quality of life of the patients with aortal valve stenosis is significantly lower than the quality of life in health population represented by the results of the Oxford research. This confirmed the H1 hypothesis ? i.e. the quality of life of the patients suffering from aortic valve stenosis is negatively affected in the evaluated domains of HRQoL. The bachelor thesis may be of benefit to the cardio-centres and the cardiology departments. The results of the research may contribute to better understanding of the patients by the staff, to improve the hospital care and to widen the patients´ knowledge of this fact. A colloquium for the nursing staff aimed at the quality of life of patients suffering from a cardiovascular disease could be organized. The thesis may also be used to stimulate further research in comparing the quality of life dependent on different types of replacements or on the age of the patients.

Time going to the work and work injuries
ŘEŽÁBKOVÁ, Jana
Commuting is regular travelling between one?s place of residence and the place of work. A lot of us surely remember our grandmothers and grandfathers talking keenly how they used to go to work to a farm, weaving factory, distillery and further facilities. It used to be usual that people had jobs at distances they could walk. On the other hand nowadays it is quite normal that some people have their places of work tens of kilometres from their homes and they have to commute by various means of transport, get up early in the morning and return late in the evening. Technical evolution has made transport faster but it also brought longer distances to travel to work. Commuting is particularly necessary at places with imbalance between supply of and demand for jobs. About one third of inhabitants commute in the Czech Republic and the travel costs represent approximately ten per cent of family budgets. People that spend more time travelling to work are wrong tempered, they are tired and stressed by commuting and occupational accidents occur as a subsequence of these factors. The aim of the Thesis ??Commuting time and workplace accidents?q was to discover what the average commuting time was and whether commuting affected the health condition of a human. Another aim was to find out how frequent workplace accidents were and how consistent employees were in reporting workplace accidents. 5 hypotheses were set to reach the aim. A quantitative method of questionnaire survey was applied on the research; the data were collected from commuting employees of a health facility, a school and a manufacturing company and compared. The data analyses did not prove that commuting caused health problems, so the hypothesis No. 1 was refuted. The second hypothesis suggesting that people from villages spend more time commuting than those living in towns was confirmed. Another hypothesis that each employee has suffered from a workplace accident was on the other hand refuted. The fourth hypothesis suggesting that fatigue, bad concentration, insomnia as a subsequence of commutation cause workplace accidents was also refuted. The last hypothesis suggesting that employees often do not inform their employers on their workplace accidents was also refuted. The Bachelor Thesis may improve knowledge of the time spent by commuting to work and subsequent occurrence of workplace accidents. The manual designed proposes preventive measures against workplace accidents and brings information in this field.

Personal Income Taxation in the Czech Republic and the United States of America
Doubravová, Lucie ; Rytířová, Lucie (advisor) ; Tepperová, Jana (referee)
This diploma thesis describes the topic of personal income taxation in the Czech Republic compared to the United States of America and on the case studies it compares the tax burden of the family with two children earning average income from employment in the Czech Republic and in the United States of America. The aim is to prove that the results comply with the OECD statistics saying that the tax burden difference between those two states is approximately the same. The fractional aim is to examine if the tax burden for the same family with the above-average employment income in the United States is much higher that it can be one of the motives why people enter or leave different labour markets. The second case study focuses on the differences in the taxation of the different tax return categories of the taxpayers and confirms the theory that the average benefit of 450 USD per year appears with taxpayers filing the married filing jointly tax return. The thesis also describes the international taxation basics with the Double tax treaty and the concepts of tax residence and taxation principles such as tax equity and efficiency.

Forecasting realized volatility: Do jumps in prices matter?
Lipták, Štefan ; Baruník, Jozef (advisor) ; Šopov, Boril (referee)
This thesis uses Heterogeneous Autoregressive models of Realized Volatility on five-minute data of three of the most liquid financial assets - S&P 500 Futures index, Euro FX and Light Crude NYMEX. The main contribution lies in the length of the datasets which span the time period of 25 years (13 years in case of Euro FX). Our aim is to show that decomposing realized variance into continuous and jump components improves the predicatability of RV also on extremely long high frequency datasets. The main goal is to investigate the dynamics of the HAR model parameters in time. Also, we examine if volatilities of various assets behave differently. The results reveal that decomposing RV into its components indeed im- proves the modeling and forecasting of volatility on all datasets. However, we found that forecasts are best when based on short, 1-2 years, pre-forecast periods due to high dynamics of HAR model's parameters in time. This dynamics is revealed also by a year-by-year estimation on all datasets. Con- sequently, we consider HAR models to be inapproppriate for modeling RV on such long datasets as they are not able to capture the dynamics of RV. This was indicated on all three datasets, thus, we conclude that volatility behaves similarly for different types of assets with similar liquidity. 1

Design of Business Strategy in the Currency Market
Havlík, Tomáš ; Svoboda, Roman (advisor) ; Michal, Michal (referee)
This thesis is about basics of forex the currency market. The main objective of the thesis is to create a forex business strategy, which should be functional, complex and profitable in long term. Testing of this strategy based on historical data and using a real investment account will follow. Thesis is divided into three main chapters. Starting with theoretical part, where we define basic terms, which will be used later, mainly in analytical chapter. Another important part of this chapter will be about three basic approaches how to analyze market, called technical, funamental and relational analysis. The second major chapter is analytical part, in which we are going to build trading strategy Strategie Tomáše Havlíka. This specific trading strategy will compared to the most comonly used trading strategies, tested using historical data and on live account. There will be couple of hand picked trades, which will be analyzed as another part of this chapter. Chapter evaluation of results is focusd not only on evaluating each currency pair and it s various timeframes, but other statistics too, which where acquired during the testing period. Average 50% year over year rentability reached on hourly timeframe and 30% rentability reached on four hour timeframe proves the overall profitability and usefulness of the strategy. Finally, the Conclussion, chapter where we focus on future development of the trading strategy and its integration into a komplex trading approach, which consists of several trading strategies, which are ultimately creating cooperative entity. Information, which will create a backbone of this thesis, will be accquired from respected books aswell as well known internet sources, written mainly by group of authors called FXstreet.cz and British trader Anna Coulling.

This thesis analyzes minimum wage, its development, determination and influence on increasing or decreasing of employment in the Czech rebublic and in the other countries of European union. It starts with determination of theoretical background of minimum wage, economical models that deals with the impact of minimum wage on employment and czech and foreign papers concerning relevant topic. In the analytical part, the thesis concerns characteristics of the system of minimum wages in particular countries of European union and their comparison. In the last part of the thesis, econometrical model was done. The aim was to find out if any of determined variables have impact on total unemployment rate in the Czech republic. Model was performed with statistical data from 2000 to 2015. The impact of some variables was proved, for example number of university graduates that have negative influence on total employment in the Czech republic.

Fiscal rules in the Czech republic after joining the EU
Šafránek, Patrik ; Ježek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Vebrová, Ludmila (referee)
This thesis concerns fiscal rules which represent a possible solution of excessive deficits of public budgets. The chosen topic is very relevant as most developed countries are now facing the problem of fiscal imbalance. The aim of the thesis is to analyze existing rules in the Czech Republic and to formulate recommendations for its public budgets with regard to the specifics of the economic and political environment. The main hypothesis is that fiscal rules in the Czech Republic are not well designed and do not contribute to the stabilization of public finances. This hypothesis was partially proved true. Proposal to strengthen the fiscal framework by implementation of the reform of medium-term expenditure frameworks and by adopting debt rule at the constitutional level results from the realized findings. Further recommendation is to establish independent fiscal institution that would oversee the fiscal policy in the Czech Republic.

Vliv nadregionálního biocentra Rasuveň na přirozenou obnovu a další vývoj okolních kulturních převážně smrkových porostů
Brabec, Pavel
The aim of this thesis was to determined the effect of supra-regional biocentre Rasuveň to the surrounding predominantly spruce vegetation in terms of regeneration and distance to which biocentre influence surrounding vegetation. From the results was found that the average density of beech regeneration in the surrounding vegetation was about 7,000 pieces / ha. It was monitored by using transects. And at the core of biocentre was around 19,000 pcs / ha. There was detected by using density plots. Effect of biocentre has been proved to a distance about 130 metres and density of regeneration corresponding to the minimum ha quantity for beech was appearing in a distance about 30 m from biocentre. These three following options were selected for the expansion of beech from biocentre to the surrounding spruce vegetation. Option 1 -- Carry out with min. quantity of MZD, Option 2 -- Mixed vegetation and Option 3 -- Expansion of biocentre + option 2 in the surrounding vegetation.
