Implementation of restoring method for reading bar code
Kadlčík, Libor ; Bartušek, Karel (referee) ; Mikulka, Jan (advisor)
Bar code stores information in the form of series of bars and gaps with various widths, and therefore can be considered as an example of bilevel (square) signal. Magnetic bar codes are created by applying slightly ferromagnetic material to a substrate. Sensing is done by reading oscillator, whose frequency is modulated by presence of the mentioned ferromagnetic material. Signal from the oscillator is then subjected to frequency demodulation. Due to temperature drift of the reading oscillator, the demodulated signal is accompanied by DC drift. Method for removal of the drift is introduced. Also, drift-insensitive detection of presence of a bar code is described. Reading bar codes is complicated by convolutional distortion, which is result of spatially dispersed sensitivity of the sensor. Effect of the convolutional distortion is analogous to low-pass filtering, causing edges to be smoothed and overlapped, and making their detection difficult. Characteristics of convolutional distortion can be summarized into point-spread function (PSF). In case of magnetic bar codes, the shape of the PSF can be known in advance, but not its width of DC transfer. Methods for estimation of these parameters are discussed. The signal needs to be reconstructed (into original bilevel form) before decoding can take place. Variational methods provide effective way. Their core idea is to reformulate reconstruction as an optimization problem of functional minimization. The functional can be extended by other functionals (regularizations) in order to considerably improve results of reconstruction. Principle of variational methods will be shown, including examples of use of various regularizations. All algorithm and methods (including frequency demodulation of signal from reading oscillator) are digital. They are implemented as a program for a microcontroller from the PIC32 family, which offers high computing power, so that even blind deconvolution (when the real PSF also needs to be found) can be finished in a few seconds. The microcontroller is part of magnetic bar code reader, whose hardware allows the read information to be transferred to personal computer via the PS/2 interface or USB (by emulating key presses on virtual keyboard), or shown on display.

Uživatelsky orientovaný jazyk pro řešení úloh DZD
Kováč, Michal ; Mrázová, Iveta (referee) ; Rauch, Jan (advisor)
The thesis discusses a new visual functional programming language and its use for data mining. The language is called Ferda and forms an integral part of the Ferda system, which is an application that has been created for data mining with the GUHA method. Functions of the language are represented by boxes. The source code is written as a connection of boxes; source files are project files of the Ferda system. The thesis describes the status of the Ferda system before this work from the point of view of the visual programming and describes possible enhancements to source files, then it presents a new basic set of boxes for the Ferda language and proposes other possible extensions of the language. Some of these proposals have been implemented as a part of this thesis. The last part includes examples of the use of the new language for data mining. One of these has also been implemented as a part of this thesis.

This diploma thesis has its purpose in creating such an editor of LATEX language, which would succeed in the competition of existing solutions. To offer users a basis typical for this type of editors and add functions that will make him a unique project. The progress went in a direction of transparent environment and completely trivial operating. Most of the functions are available through 1 click only. Predefined templates are displayed immediately including previews and it is possible to download them with all source codes. Some kinds of actions redraw the whole content of the page. In other cases, we used update panels for partially redraw the content or client javascript. Due to available archivation of .zip files we can even process more files at the same time. Program is designed in a way to be able to further continue developing it and even broaden his features.

Simulation of OLSR routing protocol in OPNET Modeler environment
Potfay, Attila ; Růčka, Lukáš (referee) ; Vajsar, Pavel (advisor)
The main task of this bachelor's thesis is to simulate the routing protocol OLSR (Optimized Link State Routing Protocol) in the OPNET Modeler environment, and to realize a scenario where it is possible to model protocol functionality and properties. The processing of each simulation is divided into three main parts and they are the description of a situation, configuration and the evaluation of results. In the first scenario there is shown the functionality of the protocol, in the second simulation there are scenarios with the nodes of different movement speed, and in the third simulation the energy requirements of the protocol from the perspective of quantity of the transmitted packets are evaluated. Furthermore, in this thesis there is analyzed the way of implementing the routing protocol OLSR in the OPNET Modeler environment. The implementation structure is divided into three levels: the level of a node, a manager and the routing protocol. At these levels the process models, transitions, code blocks, variables and key codes of functions are processed. Next, there is introduced the possibility of extending the protocol. In order to extent the OLSR protocol, the work focused on supporting services quality. The functions are edited for the protocol to create logs, read out the current transfer speed from the statistics, add it to the created pool and organise writing the logs. The results are evaluated and clearly described. This work provides the theoretical basics: it deals with the primary characteristics of Mobile Ad-hoc networks (MANET), describes in detail the OLSR routing protocol and provides information about the OPNET Modeler simulation environment.
