Occurrence of mercury in the soil.
MACHOVÁ, Zdeňka
ABSRTACT Mercury occur in atmosphere, in water also in soil. Work deal with compile literary background research about occurrence mercury in soils and decontamination contaminated soils. Decontamination they may proceed by the help of electrokinetics method, pyrometallurgical processes, biochemical processes and by the help of plants. Work is supplemented about experimental partthat the was compile - time on experimental localities. Main experimental locality finds not far off municipality Velký Chuchelec on Českokrumlovsko. Two next locations find near municipality Břehov on Českobudejovicko and municipality Lužice not far off Netolice on Prachaticko. Locality near Velký Chuchelec is in a number of ways managed meadow. In locality Břehov was take away exhibits arable land and in locality Lusatia was exhibits take away from arable soil, meadowland and wood. Total content mercury in soil was given by the help of atomic absorbtion spectrometry(AAS). Record was compared among single parts locations Velký Chuchelec that the was variously managed. Was processed by the help of statistical methods ANOVA and for content general mercury was quantified correlation with lysimeter waters and with oxidable carbon and organic carbonr. Further was compared contents total mercury among localities mutually and among variants wood, arable land and meadow. Was ascertained that the on experimental locality near Velký Chuchelec was included at least total mercury on flat 1, plot managed skiving three times per annum and amended NPK fertilizers, average content do 0,0265 {$\mu$}g/g. On the contrary high value in those locality was on plot managed mulching in combination with skiving also on flat 1, average value was 0,1171 {$\mu$}g/g. In comparison of others localities was documentary downtrend near kind soil. Differences content mercury in soil among forest soil, meadow and arable soil was conclusive. Downward trend was in sequence: forest soil F+H > meadowland > forest soil A1+A2 > arable land, with next average values in mentioned sequence: 0,1896 {$\mu$}g/g > 0,0924 {$\mu$}g/g > 0,0517{$\mu$}g/g > 0,0401 {$\mu$}g/g.

Correlations between clinical and electromyographic findings in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome depending on rehabilitation therapy
Koutská, Helena ; Lepšíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Rychnovský, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of this study was to evaluate the therapeutic effect of rehabilitation in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome. The study focused on a comparison between electromyographic findings, the findings of physioterapist-led clinical examinations and the patient's subjective feelings, illustrated by a visual analogue scale of pain intensity. These three types of examinations were carried out prior to the commencement of rehabilitation and following 8 rehabilitation sessions (within a period of 2 months) in a cohort of 15 patients, and correlations between them were described. Given the high prevalence of the disease, an effort was made to find objective examination criteria without the need to resort to electromyography. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Influence of the contrast medium iodine concentration on quality of the CT examination
RANŠOVÁ, Pavlína
Our work focused on determining absolute and relative density of various contrast agents in relation to iodine contents using in vitro and in vivo methods. It was documented that the relative density of contrast agents increases with the decreasing contents of iodine, i.e. density absolute values vary inversely as iodine content in these substances. Four various agents, bearing commercial names Visipaque 270, Visipaque 320, Ultravist 370 and Iomeron 400, in their original glass packing were used for our in vitro measurements. The measurements were carried out using CT equipment Emotion Duo (Siemens, Forchheim, Germany). Individual packing of the contrast agents were scanned by means of a standard protocol and under standard conditions. The obtained data were entered into tables. A retrospectively selected array of patients with standard scan of their stomachs was used for our in vivo measurements with a defined standard protocol using the same CT equipment and pressure injector CT 9000 Advantage (Liebel-Flarsheim, Mallinckrodt, the U.S.A.). The following data from 258 patients were recorded: age, sex, blood density after administering contrast agent in vitro on the level of diaphragm hiatus and on the bifurcation level, AP dimension of the patients on the hiatus level. Mean densities of the individual kinds of contrast agents were compared and a good correlation with the in vitro measurements was found out. The measured values were then analysed. The interdependence was studied in the measured densities and age, density changes measured on the hiatus level and on the bifurcation level for the individual contrast agents. The interdependence of the blood density on the AP dimension of the patients was also studied due to its practical use and it was documented that there is a good correlation of the decreasing density with the AP dimension as a simple parameter used instead of finding out patients{\crq} weights.

The progress of wheat prices in France and in Germany between 1531 and 1785
Střeštík, Jaroslav ; Mikulecký, M. ; Mikulecký, L.
Mean annual wheat prices in Paris and in Cologne during the 16th – 18th century display a considerable similarity, which may be expected due to the small geographical distance. In the long-term scale the prices increase, later the increase becomes slower, and this course is similar in both countries. This variation is supplemented by short-time fluctuations, again similar in both countries. In the spectra of these time series a significant peak appears in the periods near 130 and 60 years, further ones near 35 and between 14-15 years, the latter being more apparent in data from Paris. The period of solar cycle (11 years) is not significant here. Correlation with mean annual air temperatures and mean annual sunspot numbers is negative, but only a little above the limit of significance (it moves between 0.14 and 0.22). In the long-term change long-term variations of mean annual air temperatures and solar activity, valid for both countries, reflect themselves. After subtraction of the parabolic trend these correlations become lower, on the other hand, correlations with precipitation totals are more distinct. All correlations are a little higher in Germany than in France.

Possible periodicities in occurrence of wars in Europe during the last 500 years
Střeštík, Jaroslav ; Mikulecký, M.
The occurrence of wars and their regularities are always the subject of investigation for historians. During centuries one can find some relatively quiet periods as well as periods of frequent war conflicts. For a quantitative research special indices have been constructed some time ago, which are done for each year starting 1495 till 1975. In this series some significant periodicities can be found. The most significant appears around 55 years, further ones around 131, 78, and 35 years, and also some periods less significant. No one of them corresponds to significant periods occurring in most heliogeophysical quantities; only for some less significant a similarity can be found. Therefore the correlation with solar activity as well as with mean annual air temperatures is low, though not to be neglected. The similarity is higher for long-term variations than for shortterm fluctuation. During the long-term maximum of solar activity and long-term maximum of air temperatures, which occurs usually simultaneously, a quieter period may be expected.

Title: Explicitly Correlated Multireference Coupled Cluster Computations Author: Matej Švaňa Department: Department of Physical and Macromelecular Chemistry Supervisor: Mgr. Jiří Pittner, Dr. rer. nat., J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry Abstract: Total energies for the bent singlet state of carbene molecule were calculated using post-HF CCSD, CCSD-F12, MR BWCSSD, and MR BWCC- SD-F12 methods. Main aim of the thesis was to compare the energy con- vergence with respect to cardinal number X of the basis set used for the conventional MR BWCCSD method and its explicitly correlated counter- part. Also, weights of the references within the multireference calculations were compared. It was shown that use of explicit correlation within the mul- tireference approach, as well as for the single-reference approach, speeds up the convergence of energy by an order when considering the cardinal number of basis set.
