To Dvur Kralove by train - Transfer Terminal in Dvur Kralove nad Labem
Vítková, Kateřina ; Kristek, Jan (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
Design of transfer terminal for Dvůr Králové nad Labem, which will allow the transfer between the train, regional bus and urban public transport and will connect the city to the overall infrastructure of the Czech Republic. It is intended to use the existing industrial spur leading from the railway station to the Teplárna Dvůr Králové nad Labem. In addition to its own transport function, the design of the civic amenities is also envisaged. The new terminal will also serve as a gateway to the city. When designing a conceptual solution, it was a decisive intention to take the terminal as a place where the transport solution goes hand in hand with the public space. Terminal is in this case undeunderstood as an impetus for the development of the territory. Not only it does have to fulfill its transport function perfectly, it should also serve as a public space and connect neighboring non-homogeneous entities. Definition (promenade), filling / interconnection (trees), opening (free area - soft border). The contrast of the covered subtle promenade and the massive masses. The two sides of the triangular parcel are clearly defined by the covered promenade. To the so-called street queue are placed individual functions in the form of units 6x6 m. From the west direction there is the ending of railway inserted to the promenade and an island platform used also for the tram stop, which passes the passage from the inside. The resulting courtyard is formed by a regular tree raster, which creates a clearly defined composite space in a disparate area. This "forest" optically unifies the site and acts as the core of the entire terminal. In perspective freake, the forest while passing through the terminal change, sometimes it creates lines, sometimes surfaces. It does not define clearly the exit nor the entrance, it is open in all directions. Bus platforms are integrated into the raster of trees. While waiting for the bus, one is protected by a vault of trees. Buses leave the orchard and pass through the promenade out of the terminal to 28th October street. Towards the center, Tesco and Christmas decorations, the open space is created, creates a soft border, allows free movement of people in all directions. The vision for the future also involves continuation of the tram line further into the center. The tram would go through the tree trunks out of the terminal around the Christmas decorations. Neighboring Tesco is seen here as an opportunity, it is embedded in the terminal area, its function at the station is more than welcome. The whole traffic of the terminal is one way. All the traffic comes from the west side. Buses pull away to the street of 28 October. Tramway to Benešovo nábřeží. The train ends here.
Revitalization Program of Floral Garden in Kromeriz
Guzdek, Adam ; Šupler, Libor (referee) ; Jura, Pavel (advisor)
Today's entrance through honorable courtyard is so representative that there's no sense of replacing it by a new one anywhere else. The entrance object has a triangular tympanum including Maxmilian Josef's gold signature and coat of arms. It looks like noble city palace of that period. Sense of the first floor, so called piano nobile, is slightly recognizing on a facade. It's the floor with a larger high that's intended for representation. Therefore I decided to use the historical object fully and all the visitors' equipment, exhibition and lecture spaces are placed right here. New-buildings in the garden are minimized that way. I conceived both of the resolving gardens very sparingly. The reason is their historical essence. Always they were only related to the formal part of the Flower garden. Premises used for any purpose (breeding of rare birds, resource for rabbit hill, growing tulips and oranges). Květnice with the cut lane walls to allow the visitor facilities and provide some exciting long-distance views Converging walls, disorientation in space, entertainment in the bowling alley, in the maze. These elements should remain a formal part of the garden today. They should be isolated and without competition. I design gardens with order, as well as the designed Libosad itself.

This work describes automatic generation of trees in open-source 3D graphics application Blender. It also concerns different techniques for generating plants and method.
Generating Realistic Tree Models
Luňák, Miroslav ; Jošth, Radovan (referee) ; Polok, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with generation of realistic tree models. Implemented algorithm has many variable parameters, which allow generating large amount of species of broad-leaved trees. Generated models are also quite realistic looking.
The Specific of Using the Trees in the City

Trees Have the Power
Mikušková, Nina ; Fajnor, Richard (referee) ; Kovářová, Marta (advisor)
The project "Trees Have The Power" is being developed since 2013 and revolves around the strength of interpersonal connections experienced throughout our lives. It points out the reality, that we all create our own micro-cosmos around us, shaped and expanded by every new person we meet. First phase of the project involved exhibition of a tree within a gallery, which served as a metaphor of an ever expanding organism. For the second phase an online social platform was developed, to map out and connect my personal contacts. The third outcome offers space to present the "tree". By involving people from my own personal tree of connections, we are creating lectures, interactive events, concerts, film screenings, and discussions focused on multiple aspects of life. The aim is both to test the skills and initiative of a specific community as a driving force in sharing and accumulating knowledge and experience; and at the same time to demonstrate the magnitude of impact of such activity. This unorthodox framework of encounter offers opportunity to generate new perspectives within the community, and enrich the audience.
Comparison of forestry reclamation and spontaneous succession from plant diversity, production, and economic perspectives
Cudlín, Ondřej ; Faigl, T. ; Plch, Radek ; Cudlín, Pavel
The aim of our study was to determine whether the values of plant community diversity, the volume of wood, and the partial economic efficiency of plots left to spontaneous succession have yet reached similar values as those recorded on forestry reclaimed plots. Six forestry reclaimed plots and six plots with spontaneous succession were established at the Great Podkrušnohorská spoil heap and selected tree biometric characteristics were measured. Plots’ economic efficiency was calculated as the difference between the costs to level the spoil heap as well as establish and manage the forest reclamation and the theoretical profit from wood. The numbers of tree species, numbers of individuals, wood volume, and Simpson diversity index values did not differ significantly between plots with spontaneous succession and reclaimed plots. The economic efficiencies of both types of plots were too burdened with high initial investments for levelling, which can theoretically be returned within 300 years for reclamation plots and 180 years for succession plots. According to our results and those of some other authors, values for diversity and wood production are similar or higher on plots resulting from spontaneous succession in comparison to values on reclaimed plots. For this reason, both types of management should be used to establish a new suitable mosaic of ecosystems in the post-mining landscape.
Arboretum of native woody plants Týn nad Vltavou
ŠÍMA, Jaroslav
Thesis contains a design of the arboretum of native woody plants of Czech Republic, which should be placed in the area of the Natural History Museum Semenec in Tyn nad Vltavou. Its aim is to introduce diversity of Czech trees and shrubs species. The arboretum is arranged so as to present particular vegetation zones. This indicator appears in terms of popular scientific mission of the arboretum as the most obvious and comprehensible. Special sections of arboretum are devoted to the azonal communities including those that develops in terms of marginal hydric series. Created arboretum of native woody plants of Czech Republic will serve to general public (tourists, school groups, univerzity students etc.) in the implementation of science educational programs
