My work contains five videos. Installation presents videos on five separate tv screens. Each video duration is max 3 min. Videos are based on text. Text exists as installation in space and continues in form of performance. Content of text is simple wisdom which is twist off into nonsense. Realisation contains element of ephemerality. Former work is destroed by nature or human incidence.

Commented translation of a text on science and technology

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje především na překlad odborného textu s důrazem na použitou terminologii. Vybraný text pojednává o problematice mikrovln a jejich zpracování v počítačových systémech. Práce sestává z dvou stěžejních částí, přičemž první se soustřeďuje na výše zmíněný překlad odborného textu a druhá se věnuje jeho podrobné jazykové analýze. Analytický rámec zahrnuje všechny důležité jazykovědné disciplíny a předkládá výňatky přímo z textu. Tyto výňatky jsou následně porovnávány a postupně je ověřována správnost použitých jazykových prostředků pomocí citací z kvalitních zdrojů a slovníků.

Multiple Document Type Diff

During the work on important projects, we have to backup current versions periodically. But sometimes we want to know what changes between two versions has been made. To recognize these changes, we can use the diff program that compares two text files line by line and can show differencies in various formats. A problem occurs, if we want to compare other than text files. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to create one tool that can compare different types of files, for example images, Open Office files, DTP system LaTeX files, config files and, of course, standard text files. Each of listed types is specific and demands unique approach. This thesis deals with theoretical analysis of the problem and also with realization of the program which executes the comparision.

From victory to crisis: The transformation of the media framing of Petr Fiala's government in the Echo Weekly and in opinion texts on the Echo24 website

This diploma thesis deals with the framing of topics in the Echo Weekly and in the opinion section of the Echo24 website. It tries to record how tribal authors evaluated the activities of Petr Fiala's government during one year against the background of fundamental social changes due to the post-pandemic situation, the outbreak of the war in Ukraine and the economic and energy crisis. The research works with framework analysis using the deductive method, which is based on the search for already defined frameworks. It is a typology of frameworks described in earlier researches as the most frequently used. These are frameworks of responsibility, conflict, economic consequences, morality and the human interest. Searching for them and then analyzing the frames will make it possible to determine which arguments the authors used most often and how they presented the events to the readers. Research questions are set, namely, how the frequency of texts mentioning the government has changed since its appointment over a period of one year, how the frames used have changed during the year and which of them had the greatest representation, and how the authors have changed their arguments regarding the government's activities. I have been fascinated by paper since my early childhood. It was a very important part of my life, it affected shaping my personality and a way of spending time. I wrote on paper, I drew on paper, I read about fictional worlds or important information on pieces of paper. Everything transformed into different waves, influences, insights, flowing into the windows of my soul, gradually influencing and filling it. Some of them stayed, some of them have faded, and others converted into new thoughts and ideas. These I most often put into words. And so, gradually, texts, stories and poems came into being, and they flowed through the huge amount of chaos like streaks of text. This installation is a visual representation of this situation.

Mud

The practical part of this bachelor’s thesis is a book called Bahno. It contains drawings and texts which are metaphorically and factually connected to mud: as a matter in which dead organisms and plants decompose and which at the same time feeds the soil for new life to spring, as an endless search for answers on an endless amount of questions on the purpose and contents of existence. The period in which the texts and drawings were being created was a period of concentrated attention on the forms of mud, pop-cultural references and its other occurrences. A part of the intuitive mapping of mud was, among other things, a visit of a village called Bahno ("Mud"), taking samples of the local mud, viewing it under the microscope (taken photographs are contained in the book).

the essence of photography in the digital age

The diploma thesis solves the question of photography not only from the point of view of a work of art, but as a part of a cultural code. Photography in the digital era has the potential to become a new kind of visual language. From this perspective, the photographic universe reveals several essential questions, which we address here. These questions explore topics such as: historical development of images and text, the difference between traditional images and technical images, the cultural impact of mass production of digital devices and photographs, the essence of photography as a symbol from the point of view of semiotics and logic, the difficulties of deciphering photography, the linguistic aspects of digital photography or the meaning of photography in virtual (public) space. Due to the nature of the monitored topics, the work will address problems mainly related to language, logic, epistemology, human freedom in the context of man/device and marginally also semiotics.

Bachelor thesis entitled Style of speech in the works of Jáchym Topol and Patrik Hartl introduces basic linguistic analysis of novella & novels - Chladnou zemí (Through a chilly land), Kloktat dehet (Gargling tar), Nejlepší víkend (The Best Weekend) and Okamžiky štěstí (Moments of Happiness). The main goal of this thesis is to introduce theory of linguistic analysis and presentation of found phenomena in chosen works. The thesis is devided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part is focused on general conception of linguistic and text construction which is supported by practical part. The content of practical part is analysis divided into the language and text construction. Selected works are examined from the phonetic-phonological, morphological, syntactic and lexical perspective within the language construction. Text construction examine composition + horizontal and vertical divison. The result of this thesis is presentation of basic and the most common phenomena within chosen works.
