Preparation and characterization of poly-3-hydroxybutyrate copolymers
Kolomazník, Vít ; Kupka, Vojtěch (referee) ; Porubský, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis evaluates the synthesis of copolymers based on poly-3-hydroxybutyrate (PHB). The goal is to create a material with the highest possible concetration of PHB with the smallest possible volume of crystal phase. PHB with lower molecular weight and hydroxyl end groups used for polyurethane synthesis was prepared by alcoholysis of PHB polymer with 1,4 butanediol. Polyethylene glycole (PEG) of various molar mass and ratio values was chosen in this thesis as a second reacting substance. Another substance used for copolymeration with PHB was the poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) PBAT. Both variants used hexamethylenediisocyanate (HDI) as a non-toxic bonding agent. From these substances, a block copolymers comprised of soft and hard segments were formed. Hard segments are a result of PHB and it‘s crystalic structure. Soft segmets are comprised of PEG or PBAT macromolecules. The influence of soft segments of various length and molar ratio of reactants on overal polyurethane properties was evaluated. Prepared materials were charactrerized by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Molecular weight was measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC).
Synthesis of core/shell quantum dots for diagnostics
Mihajlović, Ana ; Vaculovičová, Markéta (referee) ; Pekárková, Jana (advisor)
This thesis deals with biosensors based on modified semiconductor core/shell quantum dots (QDs) for diagnosis. The work is divided into four main parts. The first one discusses the theory required for the use of QDs in bioaplications, there are described methods of synthesis, modification, application and bioconjugation of QDs. In the experimental part, CdTe/ZnS QDs with core/shell structure were prepared, in which the core was modified by MPA, GSH and TGA. In the next step, these QDs were further modified using CDI, EDC and NHS as mediators in order to increase affinity to BSA (bovine serum albumine) and IgG (imunoglobuline G). Prepared conjugates were characterized by fluorescence spectroscopy (Infinite M200Pro, Tecan) and capillary electrophoresis (Agilent 7100).
Synthesis of Lanthanidocene Based Compounds
Pospíšek, Marek ; Zmrzlý, Martin (referee) ; Richtera, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the issues of the polymerization catalytic systems based on lanthanidocene complexes. These complexes are subsequently divided by the structure into four basic groups. One part of this work deals with an overview of the most interesting results of the catalytic systems, which are then analyzed and assessed either in its entirety or point of view of catalytic activity, living mechanism of polymerisation and stereo or regioselectivity. The focus is also placed on type of monomers or the conditions of polymerization. In this part of thesis are also described general methods for their synthesis. Found analogies and generalization are commented from the point of view of the design of the catalytic systems for the purpose of choosing the stereo or regioselectivity, molar mass and its distribution. This gives significance to these complexes as catalytic systems for obtaining the required polymer properties. The acquired knowledge is used for the theoretical design of the catalytic system for controlled polymerization.

Musical Signal Synthesis on Android
Mikulík, Jan ; Glembek, Ondřej (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
The main task of this thesis is to design and implement new synthesizer on mobile platform under Android. The synthesizer generates three types of signals - sine, sawtooth and square. Two types of filters can be applied, low pass and high pass, and their cut-off frequency can be controlled. For the sound interpretation, an AudioTrack API was used. The synthesizer is controlled by zones, where one zone equals one tone. Zones can be selected by the user. For this synthesizer, a simple user interface was created.
Modification of polyurethane by biodegradable poly(hydroxybutyrate)

Podliehajú hydrolýze, počas ktorej dochádza k štiepeniu esterových väzieb a degradačné produkty sú metabolizované bez akýchkoľvek škodlivých účinkov. Diplomová práca je zameraná na syntetické biodegradabilné triblokové kopolyméry PLGA-PEG-PLGA s obsahom kyseliny polymliečnej (PLA), kyseliny polyglykolovej (PGA) a polyetylénglykolu (PEG), ktoré patria do skupiny biodegradabilných polyesterov. Obsah hydrofilnej a hydrofóbnej zložky polymérneho reťazca spôsobuje amfifilný charakter kopolyméru. Dvojité väzby umožňujú chemické sieťovanie a koncové karboxylové skupiny ponúkajú možnosť modifikácie kopolyméru biologicky aktívnymi látkami. Modifikácia bioaktívnymi látkami L-lyzínom a butylamínom obohacuje polymérnu sieť a dopamín v roli spojovacieho faktoru poskytuje univerzálnosť v naväzovaní bioaktívnych látok, stabilizuje ich a zabezpečuje zachovanie biologickej aktivity naviazaných bioaktívnych látok predĺžením reťazca. Výsledné produkty boli charakterizované pomocou 1H NMR, FTIR a DRA analýz. Funkcionalizácia anhydridom kyseliny itakonovej bola prevádzaná v tavenine. Podarilo sa dosiahnuť vyššieho množstva naviazanej kyseliny itakovovej s hodnotou 79,4 mol % a následné modifikácie boli prevádzané vo vodnom roztoku, organickom roztoku a taktiež v tavenine.
