The subcontractor’s role in construction projects

The goal of the Bachelor’s thesis is to create an overview of the methods of planning and management of subcontracts for a construction company and to formulate the organization of a construction project, which is based on a specific project with subcontractors, both in terms of time and money. The introduction describes the subcontracts and how to work with them in the company. In addition, it describes the legalities surrounding the basic contracts. The Diamant project on Wenceslas Square is described in detail in the practical part. The project’s structure, function, approval of component parts, schedule, and financial evaluation are also described. The thesis will emphasize on the organization and management of subcontracts.

Management of Building Order from Aspect of Supplier

Construction order is an essential production unit of a building company. Managing the order in a building company focuses on processing offers, productive preparation and realisation of construction works. The practical part of this thesis describes and examines the management of orders in two construction companies, whose production is oriented toward realisation of ground-based buildings. The result of this thesis is a comparison of these two companies, the lay-out of standard forms and their implementation into agency of the companies to improve their preparation and realisation of the order.

Financing of Public Building Order from the Aspect of Supplier

Financing of construction contracts is one of the most important phases, where aim of every construction company, is to achieve the highest profit, thus ensuring the business. To the financing of construction contracts are used the own and mostly foreign sources. The procurement is linked with using subsidies from the European Union. In the theoretical part of this thesis there are described the basic concepts relating to public contracts pursuant to Act No. 137/2006 Sb. and financing, both in terms of suppliers and contracting authorities and the actual course of implementation. The practical part deals with the financing of specific public construction contract.

Subcontract Management in a Construction Company

The aim of this bachelor thesis is the description of subdelivery management in a construction company. The work is focused on a given problem from the perspective of the contracting authority, as well as from the perspective of the subcontractor himself. The text is divided to two parts. The theoretical part explains the given terminology, while the practical part represents a specific construction company and describes various systems used for subdelivery management of the given company. Part of the work is dedicated to the analysis of subdelivery management in a previously delivered contract, followed by my own delivery companies management procedure.

This thesis describes a subcontract management in a construction company. The theoretical section explains the terms of project management and project organization. This is followed by a practical section explaining how a construction company and its system of processing selects a subcontractors. This part of the thesis describes the filling of a particular construction order. The last part is the evaluation of the construction company’s current system and the system’s eventual improvement.
