Horka, Pavel ; Straka, Bohumil (referee) ; Buchta, Stanislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of the construction of multi-funcion sports hall. Hall ground plandimensions are 50 x 60 m. Height of the hall is 14,5 m. This sports hall is designed for the free time activity and sports like badminton, basketball, futsal, football, handball, tennis, volleyball and more. Construction of the hall is designed on the basis of the city Zlín‘s background. Carrier enclosure is designed from the glued laminated wood with axial distance of 4 m. Purlins are designed as simple beams with axial distance of 1,34 m. Supporting facilities for the hall are located in the nearby buildings. Static analysis has been accomplished by student version of the SCIA Engineer software. Drawings of the structure are enclosed.

Main support element is glulam timber two-hinged arch. Structure consists of glued laminated timber elements, as well as solid-sawn timber and steel ones. This document includes design, internal force enumertion ans structural assessment, including joints. Dlubal RFEM 5 structural analysis and design software has been utilized in the process. Drawings of the structure are enclosed.
The multipurpose building in Pardubice
Tunková, Eliška ; Buchta, Stanislav (referee) ; Šmak, Milan (advisor)
The topic of my diploma thesis is a design of a construction of a multipurpose building. The floor plan is of irregular shape with a maximal span of 35 metres. There are two buildings in shape of a hexagon, to which another building in shape of a half of a hexagon is connected. Part of the building is designed as a two-storey building and all parts are different in height. The hight of the designed building in its highest point is 13,5 metres. The load-bearing structure consists of glued laminated wood elements and raised wood with steel elements used as fasteners. The construction is designed alternatively from wood and steel. The static solution was made using the RFEM software.

Sports hall
Podešť, Jakub ; Pilgr, Milan (referee) ; Sýkora, Karel (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with structural design of sports hall for common sports (handbal, football, tennis, volleyball, basketball) located in the Zlín. The hall ground plan dimensions are 36 m x 48 m and height of the hal lis 16,03 m. A loadbearing structure of roofing consists of three-hinged archs of glued laminated timber. A curve is pin-supported on reinforced concrete frames. Cross-binding are distanced 4 m. Purlins are pin supported between archs. The stability of the structure is toughened by sway and longitudinal bracing.
Exhibition pavilion
Řeháček, Jakub ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Sýkora, Karel (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design and review of the supporting structure of the exhibition pavilion in the suburb of Brno. The design is shaped dome built over the octagonal floor plan with eight lateral niches. The pavilion is 30m wide and 8 meters tall.
Polička riding hall
Andrlová, Lucie ; Balázs, Ivan (referee) ; Pešek, Ondřej (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to design and assess the wooden riding hall for horses. The object is located in Polička. The construction has a rectangular shape with dimensions of 21 m x 42 m and arched roof. The design is made of glued laminated wood, solid wood and steel elements. The basic supporting elements are full-thickness girders made of glued laminated wood which statically act as double-jointed arches. Steel transverse stiffeners and purlins that provide stability to the trusses are designed from a solid wood.

Kašíková, Anna ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Šmak, Milan (advisor)
The work deals with the design of a load-bearing wooden structure of a mountain hotel in the foothills of the Jeseníky Mountains. It is a building without cellar, two floors and a attic room. The floor plan of the building is 17 x 30 m with a porch of 3 x 10 m. Height of the building up to the ridge is 13.2 m. The design of the roof structure has been chosen from 2 different variants. Material usage consist of grown wood of class C24, glued laminated wood of class GL32h and steel S355. Static analysis was calculated by Dlubal RFEM software.
The Roof Structure of a Multipurpose Sport Building
Stehlíková, Iveta ; Straka,, Bohumil (referee) ; Buchta, Stanislav (advisor)

The design of the structure is located in Ústí nad Orlicí. The shape of the hall is arc sector. The structure is designed from glue laminated timber, solid timber and steel load bearing elements. The main load bearing elements are solid girders, which static function as two hinged arch. The stability of the girders is ensured by purlins and transverse stiffeners. The stiffeners are situated in four fields. Front sides are made by girts and truss columns.
