Otakar Zich's The Aesthetics of Dramatic Art and the issue of inner-tactile perception
Bezděk, Ester ; Kaplický, Martin (advisor) ; Dykast, Roman (referee)
This bachelor thesis is primarily focused on Otakar Zich's theory of Dramatic art. The first part, which is the main part of this work, deals with Zich's approach to drama in general, localising the thought of inner-tactile perception afterwards. Inner-tactile perception is presented as a crucial part of Zich's theory. Not only it is a part of the process of creation, but also of perception of drama itself. The second part of this thesis is an addendum to Otakar Zich's theory. This part is a response to Zich's thought of inner-tactile perception in current aesthetic theories of proprioception. In context of several aesthetic theories it is shown what proprioception is and what role it plays in aesthetic situation. It also reveals a relationship to Zich's inner-tactile perception. Local changes of selected somatesthetic parameters in response to stretching m. quadriceps fenoris
Vaňková, Karolína ; Čech, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Lepšíková, Magdaléna (referee)
Fascial tissues form a continuous whole-body three-dimensional network penetrating all parts of the human body. They include all fibrous connective tissue that significantly contributes both to themaintaining of the integrity of the organism and the functioning of body systems and the somesthetic perception. That is because of the facia is richly populated by proprioceptiveand mechanosensitive nociceptive nerve endings. Although the stretching is a routine method used in sports and rehabilitation, its exact mechanism of influence and effects on the body are not fully understood so far. Stretching exercises affect the mechanical state of the myofascial tissues and also the quality of the nociception and proprioception by alteration of their preload. There is evidence about some differences of the mechanical properties of the tissuesboth between thesexes and hypermobile individuals. The theses assesses the effect of static stretching m. QF on the somesthetic perception by measuring pressure pain threshold (PPT) using pressure algometry and the quality of propcioception bygoniometric measurement considering the interindividual variance in quality of the connective tissues. Our research includes testing of 29 healthy subjects (14 women and 15 men) and it has proved significant impact of the intervention on the...
Comparison of knee joint proprioception in patients with osteoarthritis and total knee arthroplasty
Valerová, Eliška ; Lepšíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Čech, Zdeněk (referee)
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease of joints, which can be solved with implantation of total joints prosthesis. A high-quality proprioception of knee joint protects the joint against possible bending injury, it is also participating in stabilizing the knee in static position and it is important in the process of coordination of the motion system and precise flexibility of the knee joint. In this thesis are summed up the knowledge of osteoarthritis, total joints prosthesis and proprioception, all is taken in context of connection. The research includes comparison of proprioception of knee joint with arthrosis and total joints prosthesis. Also, the research compared mentioned knee joints with the healthy verification group. All monitored individuals absolved a medical examination of the quality of proprioception in the form of move sensitivity in position of 30ř, 50ř and 80ř. Amongst the knees with arthrosis and knees with total joints prosthesis there were not found a differences with static importance in each of the angle test. In the total comparison there was significantly better proprioception of the knees with the total joints prosthesis. The knee joints of the verification group unlike the joints with arthrosis and total prosthesis showed significantly better flexibility in position of...
Options of using physiotherapy at patients with amputation of their lower limb
ROŽNOVJÁKOVÁ, Tereza
This bachelor deals with the possibilities of the use of physiotherapy at patients with amputation of the leg. The loss of the lower limb has a major influence on change in postural stability. Despite the prosthetic equipment patient has impaired proprioception, which is reflected to the pathological walk with compensatory mechanism. We are trying to return a person to normal life with minimal disabilities using specific physiotherapy methods with adequate training and stability. In the theoretical part there is a summary description of amputation and its influence on postural stability, further I deal with protetics options, where I am closely describing the use of functional and posturograf tests. In the end I deal with physiotherapeutics prosthetic equipment and methods applied in practice. The aim of the practical part is to assess the changes in postural stability with the use of the instruments with a biological feedback and to map out the qualitative and quantitative parameters of walking of patients with lower limb amputations. For the practical part have been selected qualitative research, which includes case reports of two patients with transfemoral amputations and one transtibial of the lower limb. Both input and output examination includes a complete analysis of kinesiologic, functional tests with posturography examination of postural stability. Each patient attended 10 individual therapies to increase the stability. The results were compared between input and output of tests. All patient's postural stability has been positively affected with a slight improvement in posture. Despite the regular therapy we didn't suceed to change the pathological components. This state can be caused by the prothesis, which was by all patients described as unsatisfing. Bachelor thesis may be used by students of physiotherapy for extension of their knowledge, or they can apply the knowledge during their practice. It can also be used as educational material for patients who are interested in the issue.
Instability of hocks caused by excessive load and sports injuries, options of further physiotherapy
BÁRTOVÁ, Lenka
For my bachelor theses I have choosen the topic "Instability of ankle joint caused by excessive load and injuries at sport with possibility of subsequent use of physioterapy." I have made such choice because I wanted to find out more about this issue. Injuries at sport are more often nowadays and it disturbs locomotor system. Instability is a problem of not only proffesional sportsmen but also of recreational sportsmen and people with hypermobility who has got increased ligament laxacity before any injury. In current modern times are sportsmen especially sportsmen on racing level under the pressure of their coaches and they often don't respect needed time for regeneration and recovery. Then correct healing of impared issues is not properly done and injury can happen again. Stable ankle joint is important for the whole locomotor system for stability of the whole leg because it's connected with other body parts through muscles chains and when any of the segments is instable, it influences others as well. In the theoretical part I write about anatomy of ankle joint, ligament system that is very important for its stability and then also muscles in the area of shank and ankle joint, possible joint injuries, frequency of injuries at particular sports and also outside and inside impacts that influence injuries. In the theoretical part I present function of a leg vault, when its shape and deformities can influence also ankle joit stability. I consider the sensomotor system importance as when integrity of a joint is impared it can cause bad feedback for the central nervous system. In conclusion I am concerned with methods and physioterapy tools for instability healing. In the practical part I have done qualitative research using input and output kinesiological analysis and for objective examination I have choosen posturographic examination with NeuroCom system that was used before and after the therapy in the Physioterapy centre on Health and social faculty in České Budějovice. Input and output datas were compared in the end of the research. The research was done for two months. Research sample consisted of six patients, who had instability symptoms and in their anamnesis they had repeated injuries of ankle joint. Age range was from 20 to 26 years and one half of them are proffesional sportsmen or did sports in past. I have made exercise unit written into a brochure, that everybody got home. During individual therapy we focused on muscles strenghtening and improving of proprioreceptions through various balancing tools and improving of the overall body bearing. I have found out from the research that injuries that often repeats especially because of bad healing or because of underestimation of this issue by a pacient and a coach. Subsequent instability impacts the overall body stability, especially in standing on one foot or in standing on a narrowed base. This theses could serve for healthcare workers as a study material and also for non-proffesional public especially for sportsmen and sports coaches.

Bestová, Zuzana ; Lepšíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Doubková, Lucie (referee)
Bibliografic identification BESTOVÁ, Zuzana. The effect of The Feldenkrais method on body schema. Prague: Charles University in Prague, 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Department of rehabilitation and exercise medicine, 2012. 96 pages. Supervisor Mgr. Magdaléna Lepšíková. Abstract The diploma thesis deals with neurophysiological concept of body schema and evaluation of the effect of the Feldenkrais method (FM) on its quality. The research comprises two groups of probands without motor system disorders. The participants passed an investigation of the body schema quality by the following tests: a test of estimation of body dimensions (width of mouth, width of shoulders, width of hips and length of foot), a modification of Petrie's test, a test of proprioception and a test of graphestesia. The examination was accomplished before FM investigation and after the course. The first group (group A) comprised 13 individuals (5 males, 8 females) who participated in a semestral course of FM, the second group of probands (group B) included 17 individuals (3 males, 14 females) underwent a two days long FM program. A significant improvement (p = 0,0027) in the estimation of the length of foot was detected after FM intervention in group B. There was not a significant improvement in any of estimated body dimensions in group A....
Sensory integration approach in paediatrics
Kordíková, Eliška ; Hyttichová, Zdenka (advisor) ; Zounková, Irena (referee)
The thesis describes the approach of sensory integration of Jean Ayres, summarizes a basic neuroanatomy knowledge related to this approach and deals with sensory processing disorder, their diagnosis and therapy. There is a case study in the thesis containing an examination, assessment and the suggestion of therapy according to the approach of sensory integration theory. The sensory processing disorders are functional disorders of perception, filtering and organizing of stimulus coming from sensory systems. On this basis the sensory modulation processing and sensory discrimination disorder in different sensory system occur or sensory - based motor disorder can occur too. Sensory processing disorders may occur simultaneously with another diagnosis, for example the Down syndrom, syndrom ADHD. We create diagnosis from history, clinical observation and tests and from standardized tests. The therapy uses a number of different tools and special equipped rooms to provide adequate sensory stimulation, especially for vestibular, touch and proprioception. The approach of sensory integration is a part of integrated look at an individual and his problems and it is a part of the whole rehabilitation too.
