The first part is focused on characterization of the entity including its organisational structure, the second describes wage payment and the employee motivational system of the company, the third is aimed at evaluation of labour productivity, and the final section analyses results of a questionnaire survey which was the main source for the section. The questionnaire was divided into four parts. The first part was aimed at cash rewards, the second dealt with benefits, the third was focused on the workplace and the last identifies information about education and skills development. The Link between Labour Productivity and Firm Competitiveness
ZEMAN, Radek
The goal of this thesis is to assess the link between labour productivity and firm competitiveness. An indispensable condition is to identify appropriate indicators measuring competitiveness. The link is examined in small and medium-sized companies active in manufacturing industry, specifically in section CZ-NACE 10. Manufacture of food products. First, an analysis of labour productivity and selected competitiveness indicators is made. Selected competitiveness indicators are Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Sales (ROS), Current Liquidity and index IN05. The relationship between labour productivity and competitiveness measured by selected indicators is examined by correlation and regression analysis. The significant positive link was found between labour productivity and competitiveness measured by ROA and ROS. Small and Medium-sized companies active in food industry can improve their ROA and ROS, and through this also competitiveness, by increasing their labour productivity. These indicators have also proved to be an appropriate tool for measuring the competitiveness of the company, especially in the food industry in the Czech Republic. The link between labour productivity and competitiveness measured by current liquidity and index IN05 was not explained in more detail.
Labour productivity in an international context

Consequently, it is pointed out the interdependence of labour productivity and economic growth. The impact of labour productivity on economic growth is examined through regression analysis. The result of the thesis is the division of states into countries where labour productivity affects economic growth and states where it is not. Labour productivity and economic growth are assessed over the period 2007-2016.
Work Productivity Measurement in a Manufacturing Plant
KUMBÁR, Jan
The bachelor thesis presents the types of productivity and the possibility of develop-ment in a manufacturing plant as one of the basic factors influencing the competitive ability of an enterprise and its use in a market. First, the bachelor thesis deals with all theoretical knowledge needed for a complete productivity analysis because the aim of this work is to evaluate work productivity in a particular manufacturing plant. Afterwards, the intent is to recommend a solution which is the most advantageous and applicable at the same to the enterprise. The thesis is focused on pointing out all shortcomings which must be eliminated or reduced, depending on eventualities of the enterprise. Then, a solution for eliminating those shortcomings and for increasing not only the productivity of work but also the productivity of the whole company is suggested. Finally, the gained findings are ap-plied to the production process.
The Visegrad Group Productivity
CAPLOVÁ, Marie
The main objective of this thesis is to evaluate productivity of the countries which are part of the Visegrad Group (i.e. the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia) from the macroeconomics perspective. Important terms referring to the productivity are introduced at the beginning. The thesis also describes the labour productivity, the indicators of capital and the economic growth. The calculations of the productivity types of the Visegrad Group are carried out. It also deals with the productivity analysis of other European Union members, as they are defined as NUTS 0. It compares the individual states´ productivity differences at the time of their entry into the European Union. Finally, the thesis evaluates the productivity of both the Visegrad Group and various regions of European Union.
Analysis of the purchasing power of wages in the Czech Republic between 2004-2017
Vodžák, Milan ; Štípek, Vladimír (advisor) ; Ševčíková, Michaela (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to analyze the purchasing power of wages in the Czech Republic, which achieves very poor results. I discuss the market, historical and institutional factors that can cause wage differences on the basis of comparison with the states of Europe. I analyze the popular problem with the economic apparatus and propose solutions that can prevent the outflow of a qualified workforce and raise the living standards of the population. On a theoretical basis, I discuss the labour productivity and its possible causes, which are mainly human capital and technological equipment. Further, I explain the historical context of the socialist era and the institutional factors in the labour markets. In the practical part, using the causal analysis and comparison, I find, with the help of the Human Development Index, the states with high standards of living, that I compare with the Czech Republic. I detect, that investing in education or research and development has no clear impact on labour productivity, which is low in Czech Republic. Historical data confirm, that in the monitored period 2004-2017, Czech wages grew more than wages in Western Europe, but the wage approach is far away. I also analyze the impact of high labour costs, civil servants, governmental and currency interventions, and lastly, I show forecasts of purchasing power evolution, that seems positive.
Impact of Information Technologies on Unemployment: Spatial Analysis
Záhlava, Josef ; Cahlík, Tomáš (advisor) ; Macek, Petr (referee)
This thesis analyses the impact of information and communication technologies (ICT) on unemployment in international context. The thesis summarizes the knowledge and research outcomes on the impact of ICT on the economy both on micro and macroeconomic level and deducts implications for unemployment. Moreover, the thesis assesses the impact of international economic integration on unemployment and labour market situation. Using ICT is beneficial for eco- nomic growth and labour productivity. This leads to decrease in unemploy- ment rate. The impact of ICT differs both among sectors of the economy and groups of workers by qualification. The unemployment rate is internationally autocorrelated due to international economic integration. In close countries it follows similar development. Based on empirical research of panel data of ele- ven european countries for years 1996 to 2007, international autocorrelation in unemployment rate and beneficial impact of ICT in lowering unemployment rate were confirmed. However, due to violation of necessary assumption of nor- mality, the results of MLE analysis need not be valid. This can be tackled by employing different estimation method, perhaps 2SLS. 1

The main objective of this work is to measure the performance of human capital in the chosen building company. Another goal is to bring suggestions for improvement that will lead to increasing to the efficiency of human capital. The thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part provides information from the Czech and foreign literature. Knowledge of theoretical part is then applied to the practical part. Basic information about the company is included in the practical part and comparison with competing businesses is also mentioned. But the most attention is paid to the performance of human capital, which is measured by labour productivity. Two indicators are selected for the calculation of labour productivity - sales and added value. Both indicators are compared in two ways; the first is average number of employees and the second personnel costs. Calculations are performed by internal resource of the company for the period 2007-2014.
Výkonnost ekonomiky a trh práce v ČR

Improving labour productivity: How to determine standard time for performing specific tasks in the selected organization
BARTOŠKOVÁ, Martina
This bachelor thesis focuses on the standard time needed for specific tasks in the selected organization, as well as on the appropriate methods for its determination. The findings serve as a basis for the formulation of measures which should be taken to improve labour productivity. The methods include the standardization of tasks, time study and computer-based data analysis (Microsoft Excel spreadsheets). The theoretical part of the paper discusses the nature of job production, the methods appropriate for the calculation of standard production time and the ways to ensure efficient work and time management in the given factory. Apart from these, a complete description (history, facility layout, pre-production and production stages, machines and materials) of the selected organization is provided to serve as a background for the case study presented in the practical part. This includes the list of production tasks, production time tables and time standards along with materials necessary to facilitate production. The aim of the thesis is to help the organization improve its labour productivity and provide it with the algorithm which can be used to determine production time for similar orders.
