The Beginnings of Modern Glass Industry in Northwestern Bohemia, and Glaverbel Czech a.s. an Exporter of Flat Glass to the Countries of the European Union
HRABÁKOVÁ, Veronika
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to create a well-arranged summary of the beginnings of the modern glass industry mainly in the Nortwestern Bohemia and to introduce Glaverbel Czech a.s. In my thesis I will describe the absolute beginning of glass industry, introduce the existing as well as the already ceased glass works in Northwestern Bohemia (mainly around the city of Teplice) and will present chosen examples of international cooperation in the area of flat glass production, e.g. France, Belgium, Great Britain, Japan. The most important part of this thesis will be the introduction of Glaverbel Czech a.s., its history, present and future development, glass types, visions and the position on EU markets, in which Glaverbel Czech a.s. exports its products.
Belt conveyor for brown coal
Bezděk, Marek ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
The main key in this bachelor thesis is to calculate and design conveyor belt for transport of brown coal for the transport capacity of 140,000 kg per hour and the height difference of 10,5 m and axial distance between the drums at the both ends of 50 m. First part of the work is focused on the main parts of the conveyor belt construction. Then follows the part with the calculation of conveyor belt according to norm ČSN ISO 5048, which is then used for designing of the main parts of the conveyor belt and its dimensions. The thesis is extended by the required technical drawings.
Legal aspects of brown coal exploitation limits
Beňasová, Kateřina ; Sobotka, Michal (advisor) ; Damohorský, Milan (referee)
The thesis aims to provide an analysis of the legal limits imposed on brown coal exploitation in the Czech Republic, including an assessment of how these limits enter into particular stages of coal mining. The first chapter summarizes the applicable mining law legislation. The second chapter deals with restrictions set out by protection of the environment rules. Furthermore, the following chapter focuses on specific topic of so called ecological limits of exploitation. The fourth chapter points out the limits laid by the right of ownership. Finally, the thesis comprises a summary of contained conclusions.
Speciation and isotopic composition of lead in coal samples from selected profile of the Most Basin
Semíková, Hana ; Strnad, Ladislav (advisor) ; Chrastný, Vladislav (referee)
Coal is one of the major energy sources in the world and contains most of the elements from the periodic table. During combustion of coal these elements are released and redistributed. This may lead to environmental problems. Some of these elements are considered to be very dangerous for human and animal health and ecosystems. The knowledge of concentration and speciation of elements in coal is important for the prevention of the adverse environmental phenomena associated with the use of coal. One of the hazardous elements in coal is lead. The purpose of this work is to determine the concentration of lead and its isotopic composition simultaneously with determining the speciation of lead in coal. The ICP-MS method was used to determine the concentration and isotope ratios of lead. A total of 62 samples of subbituminous coal was analyzed. The method of selective extraction analysis BCR was used on 9 samples of subbitumnious coal to identify the speciation of lead in coal. Lead concentrations in coal were measured in the range of 0.25 to 78.84 mg·kg-1 . These concentrations correspond to the average concentrations of lead in most of the coals. Isotope ratio 206 Pb/207 Pb in coal samples ranged from 1.169 to 1.219. Isotopic 208 Pb/206 Pb ratio was measured in the interval 2.047 to 2.093. The isotopic...
Belt conveyor for brown coal
Krahulík, Michal ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the design of the conveyor belt for coal. The beginning of this thesis is a basic description of the belt conveyor and its parts, then deals with the functional calculation according to the standard ČSN ISO 5048, while the transported material, axial distance, height difference and the required transport power were entered. The calculations also include strength calculations, for example checking the rotation of the axis and the deflection of the shaft of the driven drum, checking the pressure in the threads of the tensioning device. An essential part of the work is the choice of roller stands, rollers, conveyor belt, driven and driving drum, electric engine and the choice of tensioning equipment. There are drawing documentations, which consists of an assembly drawing of a belt conveyor and a weld of the frame of the tensioning station, attach to this thesis.
Down conveyor belt for brown coal
Buyalskiy, Alexandr ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a belt conveyor with negative principle for transport brown coal, with regard to the given parameters, which are given in the assignment to work. The first part of this work includes the purpose and distribution of belt conveyors.Furthermore, the construction and a brief description of the individual parts of the conveyor are dismantled. The computational part illustrating the suggestion of the main parameters of the conveyor according to ČSN ISO 5048.Also the design and safe calculating of tension station are shown. Technical drawings are accompanied to the thesis.

Grate Boiler for Coal and Bagasse Combustion - 200 t/h, 9.3 MPa, 520 °C
Bartůněk, David ; Ryšavý, Milan (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
The object of the thesis is to design a grate boiler for bagasse and brown coal combustion with a heat output of 160 MW. Calculations of a flue gas stoichiometry are based on known element analyses of each fuel. The crucial part of the thesis includes designs of heat-exchanging surfaces, where the bagasse is considered as the main fuel while the brown coal is the spare one. Overall thermal balance and an actual boiler efficiencies are provided in last chapters. The boiler-outlet flue gas temperature is compared with the dew point temperature at the very end of the thesis. As a part of the thesis there is a design of the boiler attached.

Influence of the brown coal extraction on the landscape pattern changes in the Most study area
Kochan, Ladislav ; Kottová, Blanka (advisor) ; Klára, Klára (referee)
This task presents the historic character of the selected area Most area before the start of lignite mining and after mining. Trying to objectively evaluate what the impact of mining on the landscape and return to the situation in which the country found itself. The work includes photographs and a description. With the help of historical documents and photographs will be judged influence culturally - green and the result will be evaluated as a change in the influence of negative, zero, when the return of the original landscape features observed with respect to functionality and aesthetic requirements, respectively. positive when the country has exceeded the original landscape functionality and achieve high ecological value. Then comes the final assessment of the current status and sustainability of the changes described in the future.
