Vliv třídění brambor na změny jejich technologické kvality

The aim of the thesis was to work out a research of the literature and determine the influence of the size fraction of potatoes on their technological quality. In cooperation with a company Beskyd Fryčovice, a.s. the samples of their processed potato varieties were provided. Mass fractionation of the available potato tuber samples was performed and the selected quality parameters, which are important in terms of potato storage and processing, were then determined. The focus was on the amount of starch, nitrogen, magnesium, calcium and potassium in the dry matter. The study also includes the determination of the cooking value of tubers. One of the parts of the instrumental analysis was the determination of the texture properties of the tubers. Products of different size fractions of potatoes were produced and their sensorial qualities evaluated. The result of the study has confirmed that both weight grading and the variety have a decisive influence on the potato cooking value. The result of the experiments has also shown great variability in quality between the varieties. It has been confirmed that the chemical composition of the tuber sis also affected by their weight. During he experiments, there have also been produced the refined potato products, and the evaluation of their quality during storage has been performed.
Využití diagnostických metod pro optimalizaci výživy brambor

The bachelor thesis is aimed at the use of diagnostic methods to optimize the nutrition of potatoes in operational practice. The pilot field experiment was established in Lutopecny in the Zlín Region. The following variants were included in the experiment: 1. LAV + 8% urea solution, 2. ALZON 46 by Nmin and 3. ALZON 46 by Nmin + 8% urea solution. The first option reflects the traditional system of potato fertilization on the grower's land. On the second variant, the nitrogen nutrition of the potatoes was optimized according to the content of mineral nitrogen (Nmin) in the soil and the urea with the nitrification inhibitor (ALZON 46) was chosen. The third variant is based on variant n.2 and should be supplemented with foliar application of urea according to nitrogen and phosphorus content in plant biomass. Although the nutritional status of the crop was good, supplemental fertilization with 8% urea solution was applied. The average of total tuber yield was 30% lower in the traditional technology variant than in the nitrogen-optimized variants. Supplemental fertilization with 8% urea solution per sheet in option 3 did not cause additional yield increase because the nutrient status of the urea fertilization with nitrification inhibitor based on the Nmin content of soil was assessed as optimal. Based on one-year results, it is advisable to correct the nitrogen dose for potato fertilization after planting according to the mineral nitrogen content of the soil.
Druhové spektrum plevelů ve vybraných porostech okopanin a zelenin

In my thesis I was focused on the species spectrum of weeds in these crops – cabbage, pumpkins and potatoes. The observation was carried out in a company Zahradnictví Brabec located in Modřice, not far from Brno. I performed the evaluation on the basis of numerical method and statistics, using the ordination diagram to show the results. Most frequently in crops were Pigweed (Amaranthus retroflexus), Common lambsquarters (Chenopodium album) and Canada thistle (Cirsium arvense). These three weeds occured in all crops in large quantities. The most weeds were in pumpkin growthand the least weeds were in cabbage.
Zhodnocení výskytu mandelinky bramborové a účinnosti insekticidů v porostu brambor na lokalitě v Žabčicích

This thesis deals with the effectiveness of insecticides on Colorado potato beetle, which is one of the most serious pests that damages the above-ground part of the potato crop. Field trials were established in the years 2015-2017 at the campus of the Mendel University School in Žabčice. Insecticides from the group of neonicotinoids (Actara 25 WG, Biscaya 240 OD, Mospilan 20 SP and Monceren G) were used here. Insecticides from the group of pyrethroids (Vaztak Active, Nurelle D, Karate se Zeon 5 SC) and diamides (Coragen 20 SC) were used. Last but not least, two insecticides (NeemAzal T / S, SpinTor) have been applied that are useful in organic farming. In 2015 and 2017, the presence of Colorado potato beetle was evaluated before and after application of individual insecticides. Based on the occurrence of potato beetle larvae, efficiency was calculated. In addition, the difference between insecticides and insecticides and control was statistically evaluated. The year 2016 was not evaluated because of the low number of potato beetles.

This bachelor thesis deals with evaluation species spectrum of weeds in potato growth, determines differences between grounds and date of evaluation. Observation was made on a private farm in Hařilova Lhotka. There were Tripleurospermum inodorum, Echinochloa crus galli, Galeopsis tetrahit, Atriplex sagittata, Fallopia convolvulus, Thlaspi perfoliatum and Persicaria maculata on the ground Bažantnice. Fallopia convolvulus was the most numerous and Thlaspi perfoliatum was least represented. There were Lamium amplexicaule, Geranium pusillum, Galeopsis tetrahit, Atriplex sagittata, Solanum nigrum, Fallopia convolvulus, Thlaspi perfoliatum, Cirsium arvense, Euphorbia helioscopia and Elytrigia repens on the ground Za Cestou. Solanum nigrum was the most numerous. Euphorbia helioscopia and Thlaspi perfoliatum were least represented.
Starch and protein yield in potatoes for starch production

The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the starch and protien content in selected potato variarients in relation to nitrogen fertilization. The literature review is a general introduction to the given problem. In the year 2018, a one-year field trial was established where three starch yield varieties Anatori, Hermes a Ornella were observed. Nitrogen fertilizer was applied in two variants. The first variant was fertilized in the spring before planting with a dose of 73 kg N/ha, the second with a dose of 111 kg N/ha.In the experiment, tuber yield, average tuber weight, starch content, starch yield, dry matter content, and crude protein yield were evaluated. In the monitored year of 2018, which had above-average temperatures and on the contrary lowerprecipitation, the best evaluation was the application of higher nitrogen fertilizerswitha dose of 111 kg N/ha. Higher application of nitrogen fertilizers compared to lower dose increased potato tuber yield (t/ha), starch (%) and starch yield (t/ha).
Vliv organické výživy s využitím mořských řas na výnos brambor

Theoretical part of this bachelor thesis summarizes basic facts about breeding and fertilization of potato plant. In practical part there is evaluated effect of several fertilizers made of seaweed (AlgaSoil, Alga 300, SoftGuard, CaBoron, ProBoron, Rootmost) on yield of two varieties of potato with different length of growing season Arlet and Dicolora. Small-plot field trial was founded in April 2015 at experimental field station of Mendel University in Žabčice near Brno. Achieved results were affected by unfavorable weather, especially by drought at the beginning of tuberisation. There were not noticed any statistically significant influences of yield of any trial variant. There was small increase in yield (4 %) in case of Dicolora variety fertilized by AlgaSoil. So the achieved results have to be proved in coming years.

In this work is analyzed the impact of different varieties on the quality of the tubers. Dif-ferent methods are used to evaluate the quality of potatoes. The objective of this thesis was to assess the quality of fifteen different varieties: Adela, Arlet, Dali, Impala, Jolana, Keřkovské rohlíčky, Lada, Magda, Marcela, Margaret, Mirage, Monika, Primarosa, Raphael, Rosara. Fol-lowing parameters were evaluated: starch content, the skin color and tubers and table value. Measurements were performed in the laboratories of the Mendel University on the Institute of food technology. When determining the starch content, the lowest amount has been found in a variety Adele, while the highest in a variety Magda. Regarding skin color measurement, the lightest was variety Rosara and the darkest variety Monika. The detectable difference in raw and cooked tubers was found when determining the color of tubers. Based on the sensory analysis varieties were classified into 3 groups according to boiling type. Boiling type AB was evaluated in the varieties: Rafaela and Rosara. The boiling types BA included varieties: Dali, Keřkovské rolls and Primarosa. Most varieties showed parameters of the boiling type B: Impa-la, Margaret, Monika, Lada, Marcela, Mirage, Adela, Arlet, Jolana.
Diverzita vegetace polních plevelů severovýchodního Znojemska

The aim of this work is to compare of weed vegetation in stands of winter wheat and potatoes in the north-east area of the Znojmo. In the first part of my thesis I deal with the history of agriculture in the Czech Republic and the overall characteristics of the territory where the land is situated. Further I work with weeds with probable occurrence in monitored plants and methods for their control whether direct or indirect. At the end of this section I characterize the crop in which I watched the weeds. In the second part of my thesis I describe the results of my observation research. The graph shows the different species that occurred on the parcels. I compare their occurence in different periods of time and compare two different crops. I analysed the data also using of ordination diagrams and show which weeds were found often together. I present the differences between plant species in wheat and potatoes, as well as in different periods of the year.

This bachelor thesis also answers the question whether the customer preferences differ in these three countries in terms of potato varieties.
