Dobrovolný, Jakub ; Vetiška, Vojtěch (referee) ; Dostál, Lukáš (advisor)
Electrical devices are secured as not to injure living creatures via electric current and damage or destroy machinery due to the effects of electric current. Circuit breaker is a device responsible for protection of an electrical circuit against damage. The main aim of thesis is the correct function of the thermal trip unit when it exposes to the thermal warming. The thermal trip unit is depended on heating of a bimetal before overcurrent flow. The goal of thesis is temperature and voltage drop profile from measured values. Verification of the measurement is done in SolidWorks Flow Simulation software. According to simulations are determined currents for correct function of the thermal trip unit in different temperatures of an environment. The most important result of the thesis is correct setting of the operating current in the circuit breaker.
Calculation of heat and force field UniGear ZS1
Mokrý, Lukáš ; ABB, Drahomír Tůma, (referee) ; Dohnal, Petr (advisor)
The aim of my work is to describe high-voltage switchgear type UniGear 500R, which is part of UniGear switchgears family. I will focus on heating issue of one 500R unit and its parts during operation. Maximum values of this heating is limited by standards and can´t be exceed to ensure safe and reliable operation. That is why the heating tests are necessary part of designing and developing switchgears. Calculation will be made by two different ways. First is classic one-pole heating net method and second is numerical simulation in Solidworks flow simulation program. Except the theoretical description there will be presented also used 3D model and explanation of both method, used to calculation and simulation. Last point of this work is measuring of this type of switchgear and getting real data. The main point there is to compare measured values with values calculated and decide if is possible to simulate tests with appropriate accuracy. Then would be also possible to substitute the real test in laboratory, which costs many thousand crowns and takes lots hours of time. This work is collaborated with EJF division of ABB Company, where I am employed. Heating issues in this company is always on process, because of developing and improving of their products. So this work could be helpful in this field. ABB provides all materials needed, especially technical catalogues, 3D model and final values from laboratory measuring. Support from college faculty is mainly in study consultations and proposing of calculations making. In the end of work will be make final comparison and evaluation of achieved results.
FEM analysis of overcurrent trip unit
Makki, Zbyněk ; Augusta, Zbyněk (referee) ; Valenta, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the project was to prepare the given model of the current path in the environment of the SolidWorks programme, in order to simulate the flow path in the environment of the Ansys programme, where there was calculated the distribution of current density, voltage drops and heat loss on the the specified current track according to specified conditions. The obtained results are analyzed at the conclusion of this work.
Using Computer Aided Engineering for analyse the detector
Novotný, Marek ; Špinka, Jiří (referee) ; Maxa, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with electron microscopy. Examined equipment is environmental scanning electron microscope (ESEM), namely scintillation a detector of the microscope. There is solved the influence of the profile of holes in diaphragms to the resulting pressure and gas flow on the path of secondary electrons at the detector. Introductory part of thesis informs about microscopy in general, with concentration on electron microscopy; especially on scanning microscope, because research is taken just on the environmental scanning electron microscope. Another part informs about both general principles of dynamics of gases and with finite volume method. Another part deals with concrete used software and with setting of individual parameters for calculation. At the beginning of calculation are used five basic profiles of holes in diaphragms for pressure 1000 Pa in the chamber of the sample. For modelling individual shapes is used 3D parametric modeller SolidWorks. Analysis of circulation of secondary electrons through detector is made by using Cosmos FloWorks module. The most suitable type of diaphragms is chosen from measured models. Another part of diploma thesis deals with measuring of chosen types of diaphragms for more pressures in the chamber of the sample; the pressure is 200, 400, 600, 800 and 1000 Pa. The outcomes of this research are both models of pressure and speed of circulation inside the detector and graphically processed values by using different diaphragms, respectively one type of a diaphragm in different pressures. Production drawings of each diaphragm, together with calculated models, are enclosed.
Drive Visualization of Four-Wheel Vehicle in Matlab-Simulink
Foriška, Aleš ; Klusáček, Ondřej (referee) ; Zavadinka, Peter (advisor)
This thesis deals with the formation of four-wheel drive vehicle visualization in MATLAB-Simulink. The begining of thesis is dedicated to the theoretical study of the history, production and usage of virtual reality. Next chapters describe the creation of virtual model of the vehicle and scene using SolidWorks, its adjustment in the V-Realm Builder 2.0. and implementing in the Matlab-Simulink environment. Using Matlab-Simulink (a tool of the Virtual Reality Toolbox) vehicle dynamics model was modified and linked with the virtual model, what enables drive visualization of vehicle. At the end of this thesis is applied joystick connection with a dynamic model, the user can interfere with driving during the simulation.

Content of the document is to create model of kiln, compare result with the real kiln. There is described 3D design in SolidWorks application, creation of a physical model in COMSOL Multiphysics and its export to Simulink. Subsequently is described the Simulink scheme, functions of program parts and visualization in B&R Automation Studio. The obtained results are compared with measured values. There is also described the design of a controller with a off-line identification.
Evaluation of Smap3D software as a tool for design of evaporation system
Odstrčil, Marek ; Naď, Martin (referee) ; Vondra, Marek (advisor)
The main goal of the master thesis is an evaluation of a software package Smap 3D Plant Design in design of evaporation technology, specifically 3D of the pipeline network and its subsequent documentation. The thesis describes evaporation technology in general, then the evaporator testing site in Laboratory of Energy Intensive Processes in NETME Centre is presented, where pipeline network needs to be designed. In the next part a reference 3D model was created as well as a documentation using SolidWorks routing. Subsequently, an equivalent 3D model was created using Smap 3D Plant Design – Piping and a documentation was created using Smap 3D Plant Design – Isometric. Finally, these two methods of creating pipeline were compared to each other, and recommended method was chosen.
