Motion Detection in Video
Polanský, Petr ; Sochor, Jakub (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The objective of this work is evaluate motion detection using Gaussian Mixture Model. When algorithm detects motion, it creates short video capturing this motion and visualizing it properly. Visualization is made by white pixels intensity graph. System is applicable on less busy area when motion is more noticeable. Results of this work shows how surrounding environment and camera position influence detection.
Monitoring Trends of Electrical Activity of the Heart Using Time-Frequency Decomposition
Čáp, Martin ; Kozumplík, Jiří (referee) ; Provazník, Ivo (advisor)
Work is aimed at the time-frequency decomposition of a signal application for monitoring the EKG trend progression. Goal is to create algorithm which would watch changes in the ST segment in EKG recording and its realization in the Matlab program. Analyzed is substance of the origin of EKG and its measuring. For trend calculations after reading the signal is necessary to preprocess the signal, it consists of filtration and detection of necessary points of EKG signal. For taking apart, also filtration and measuring the signal is used wavelet transformation. Source of the data is biomedicine database Physionet. As an outcome of the algorithm are drawn ST segment trends for three recordings from three different patients and its comparison with reference method of ST qualification. For qualification of the heart stability, as a system, where designed methods watching differences in position of the maximal value in two-zone spectrum and the Poincare mapping method. Realized method is attached to this thesis.
Segmentation of the kidney from the renal perfusion MR image sequences
Jína, Miroslav ; Walek, Petr (referee) ; Malínský, Miloš (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with kidney segmentation in perfusion magnetic resonance image sequences. Kidney segmentation is carry out by a few methods such as regionbased techniques, deformable models, specimen-based methods, edge-oriented methods etc. The universal algorithm for patient kidney segmentation still does not exist. Proposed method is an active contour Snake, which is created in programming environment MatLab. Final contours are quantitatively and visually compared to manual kidney segmentation.
Wavelet transform based object detector
Mikuš, Ondřej ; Průša, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with applying methods on object detection in image. Separation of objects off the background is often needed during the image processing. It isolates the region of interest that can be worked with. The main purpose of this paper is the explanation of principles of pre-processing and segmentation of image, resulting in object detection using the wavelet transformation. This wavelet transformation is described more in detail, because it is the base of the primary used method. In the practical part of this thesis the main method was implemented to MATLAB environment and tested on set of images. The method was tested for robustness against noise and blur of image. It was compared with commonly used methods, using the edge detectors and thresholding. A simulation program was created for comparison of methods efficiency, including user interface.
Digital Audio Effects Based on the Wavelet Transform
Friedberg, Jiří ; Zezula, Radek (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The object of this bachelor thesis is knowing with possibilites of using wavelet transform and thresholding for project of digital audio effects. There are explain basics of wavelet transform and thresholding. This work also include description of project of fifthteen digital audio effects. Ten of them is programmed in Matlab with using GUIDE and inclose to this bachelor thesis to check out.
Braille Reader
Vicián, Martin ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
The bachelor's paper deals with methods of detection and decoding digitalized documents in braille to Latin script. It describes the function of scanners and their employment in digitalizing braille. It analyzes various methods of thresholding, rotation detection and sign processing. It describes an implemented program in C++ language, the OpenCV library and Qt framework. Finally it proposes the most feasible procedure of decoding.
Neural Network Based Edge Detection
Jamborová, Soňa ; Grézl, František (referee) ; Švub, Miroslav (advisor)
This work is about suggestion and implementation of the software for detection of edges in images using neurons network. It defines basic terms for this topic and focusing mainly at preperation imaging imformation for detection using nerons network. Describing and comparing different aproachings for using implemented software on synthetic and real set of images,  including experiments.
Code Detection from Control Image
Růžička, Miloslav ; Zuzaňák, Jiří (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
Work deals with code detection from control image. The document presents relevant image processing techniques dealing with a noise reduction, thresholding, color models, object segmentation and OCR. This project examines advantages and disadvantages of two selected methods for object segmentation and introduces developed system for object segmentation. The developed system for object segmentation and classification is realized, evaluated and results are discussed in details.
Segmentation on tomographic data of multiphase materials
Troják, Jan ; Šalplachta, Jakub (referee) ; Břínek, Adam (advisor)
This work deals with segmentation of multiphase materials from X-ray computed tomography measurement. The segmentation was performed on meteorite images. There are various intermetallic phases in the structure of the meteorite and they are difficult to separate. The main objective is to test different image processing techniques (Otsu's thresholding, cluster analysis, region growing). The techniques were chosen with the focus on their benefits for multiphase material segmentation. Image denoising and sharpening is used before segmentation. Subsequently, selected segmentation methods are applied to real data. The individual results are evaluated. Finally, the comparison of selected methods is presented.
ECG Signal Compression Based on Wavelet Transform
Ondra, Josef ; Hrubeš, Jan (referee) ; Kozumplík, Jiří (advisor)
Signal compression is daily-used tool for memory capacities reduction and for fast data communication. Methods based on wavelet transform seem to be very effective nowadays. Signal decomposition with a suitable bank filters following with coefficients quantization represents one of the available technique. After packing quantized coefficients into one sequence, run length coding together with Huffman coding are implemented. This thesis focuses on compression effectiveness for the different wavelet transform and quantization settings.
