Production of bevel gear on universal CNC milling machine
Holeček, Aleš ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with both theoretical describing of the bevel gears issues, thus creating a practical 3D model of the selected gear bevel gear and its NC machining programme for universal CNC machine tools with the help of a suitable CAD/CAM applications. At the end, an evaluation of this method compared to conventional machining methods in terms of techno-economic is made.
Application CAD/CAM software PowerMILL 6.0 for 3D machining.
Vinkler, Tomáš ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The diploma thesis contains detailed processing of a two-piece car form by means of possible accessible 3D strategies of CAM system PowerMILL, selecting of tools, economical evaluation and creation of NC program for CNC machining centre.
Analysis of NC programming options for enclosed pockets
Janda, Jiří ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the available strategies for milling of closed pockets. In particular, it focuses on advanced programming using CAM programs. In the next parts, the work is focused on the analysis of the force load of tools in the machining of the pockets. Here it focuses on the course of forces in milling at the corner of the pocket using different methods of analyzing this load. There are also ways to reduce this burden.
Possibilities of the CAM software PowerMILL 2018 for machining of thin-walled workpieces
Luňák, Václav ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This master's thesis is focused on the modeling and tracks of thin-walled components. Used softwares are CATIA V5R20 from Dassault Systemes for Experimental Component Modeling and PowerMILL 2018 from Autodesk for Draw and NC Programming. The production efficiency between the precision casting and the workpiece of the cube blank based on the material utilization factor and machining time is compared in this work.
Application of CAD/CAM software PowerMILL when machining.
Svoboda, Jan ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis is devoted on the saggest and analysis technology milling three axis part with support of CAD/CAM PowerMill system. In terms of selection technology milling are characterized used machining strategy and quantified different possibilities their using.
A proposal and production of vacuum mold for serial production of plastic forming
Tišnovský, Jakub ; Chladil, Josef (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the proposal and production of a mold for series production of plastic parts by vacuum forming. The thesis is divided into 2 main chapters. The theoretical part includes analysis of chip machining technology. The experimental part focuses on solving the design of the mold in PowerShape software, a detailed analysis of making of the model for casting and about making of the mold themselves. In the last part the manual completion and verification of the mold is discussed. Thesis is terminated by technical-economic evaluation, in which is discussed about production costs.
Automated machining in CAM systems
Jelínek, Tomáš ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Zouhar, Jan (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the possibilities of machining using CAM systems automation. For modeling components such as holders, clamps and sample parts was used software CATIA V5R20 by Dassault Systmes. These samples were subsequently used to demonstrate the automation capabilities in PowerMill Ultimate 2022 by Autodesk. The automation program is consists of created tool database, templates with machining strategy and developed macros. A technical and economic evaluation was performed by comparing programming times of the program with and without using of the created elements of automation.
Application of CAD/CAM software for machining
Havran, Lukáš ; Jankových, Róbert (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is the application of CAD / CAM system in machining. It contains a brief search of the possibilities of programming in CAD / CAM systems. Software that were used in this work were Creo Parametric from PTC and PowerMILL from Autodesk. The practical part of this work is focused on the production of a copy of a physically existing component using selected systems. In this part, attention is paid to the creation of a 3D model together with production of documentation using the Creo program and the creation of the machining program in PowerMILL for the implementation of production at CNC machine. The proposed procedure is verified by graphical simulation. Part of the practical part is also the selection of suitable machinery and tools for the actual production. The conclusion of the work is devoted to the control of the manufactured component.

Robotic machining with external tool
Ryvol, David ; Pochylý, Aleš (referee) ; Kubela, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this final thesis is to evaluate the performance of chosen CAM software in robotic deburring of cast parts while using external tool. For this purpose, an analysis of program’s functions was carried out and toolpath-making strategies were compared. The most appropriate strategy for mentioned technology was chosen based on this analysis. The generation of a toolpath was described on the example of real part from automotive industry. In order to simulate real machining process, a model of workspace was created, proper tool with spindle was selected and a method of clamping the workpiece was designed. A postprocessor was created, and so was the robot program, after successful simulation, as a foundation for possible practical test. PowerMill software proved to be not very suitable for this kind of machining application, mainly because of high amount of time consumed during the whole process. So the original idea of replacing classical on-line programming with this software is not advised.
