This bachelor thesis deals with principles of lean production and their implementation. It reflects ongoing transformation of assembly in the company ABB s.r.o. PGHV Brno – Slatina. There were suggested several steps for waste reduction based on the tracking of material flow and worker movement.

Then follows the practical part, dealing with a specific situation where some of these methods are applied in practice.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the current state of the manufacturing process of the company ALFA s.r.o. Moravská Třebová, to submit own suggestions for the introduction of lean production to save time, costs and strengthening of the quality in the company and establish the conditions of implementation, in which is possible to implement specified proposals. The operational objective is also an explanation of benefits that gets the company after implementation of these proposals. The first part gives an overview of lean manufacturing methodologies and with using of selected methods and workflow analysis are determined in the second part the proposals. After their implementation the company can save time, reduce costs and strengthen quality for the customer as a basis for the introduction of lean manufacturing enterprise.
Project of Automation of Material Flows Between the Production Process and Dispatch

The diploma thesis focuses on a palletisation project at the Zora plant, which concerns material flows between production and expedition. This thesis includes an analysis of the current state of the logistics concept, which provides the necessary informations to propose changes in the proposal part. The changes developed in the proposal part will lead to improved material flow between the buildings.

The good know ledges of assembly process and technology is important for the right modification. Application of Lean Production Methods on the Workplace

The diploma thesis is focused on proposal of workplace modification according to the lean manufacturing methodology (DMAIC). The target is to minimize the wasting and to increase the production efficiency based on LEAN tools implementation. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the basic terms, such as primarily lean production, DMAIC, wasting. In the practical part there is at problem analysis using the DMAIC method, then the proposal for improvement is solved, that contains reduction of wasting, process of the project, timetable, costs and implantation of the solution, finally there is evaluated the benefit.
Rationalization of assembly tools

This bachelors thesis optimises arrangement of assembly tools in workplaces of the production line by using lean manufacturing methods. The purpose of the thesis was reached by waste analysis and implementation of the 5S method. Rationalization improved ergonomics of workplaces and saved more than 250 hours per year. In summary, it means undoubtedly good improvement in both productivity and costs reduction. Next steps will focus on purchasing of professional cordless automatic screwdrivers.
Optimizing the Assembly Line Process

This Bachelor’s thesis focuses on analyzing of process optimization and instalation of manufacture in a chosen company. This bachelor thesis is devided into three parts, whereas the first part is targeted to theoretical basis. The second part continues with introduction of the company at the assembly process. In the third part, there will be a suggestion of changes, which can lead to lean manufacture process in the company.
