Envelopes of implicit surfaces
Vráblíková, Jana ; Šír, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Lávička, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to study envelopes and characteristic curves of one parameter systems of quadratic surfaces in real three dimensional space. We define one parameter systems and their envelopes generally and present algebraic geometry approach for en- velope computation using Gröbner bases and elimination theory. We convey a proof of rationality of envelopes of rational one parameter systems of spheres, cones and cylin- ders of revolution using dual space and different models of Laguerre geometry. Then we present a new approach to one parameter systems and their envelopes. We introduce the systems as curves in homogeneous spaces which allows us to study all characteristic curves at a single surface. This approach allows us to prove rationality and even provide an explicit parameterization of characteristic curves and the envelope of a one parameter system of isometric cones of revolution. We provide several other examples illustrating the concepts and results. 1
Belt conveyor for piece material
Horák, Roman ; Zeizinger, Lukáš (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with construction and model parameterization of a belt conveyor determined for the transport of piece material. The work contains a search part, the construction of the conveyor with subsequent parameterization, a list of all used parts in the bom and a universal assembly drawing.
Automatic Documentation Generation through Product Parameterization
Slechan, Martin ; Hedrlín, Petr (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
This bachelor thesis solved the implementation of automatic document generation using product model parameterization. The theoretical and analytical part is followed by a suggestion for process optimization, where it was monitored what positive and negative impacts in the possible implementation of automatic generation in the company's internal processes may arise. The evaluation was based on calculations and the results show that the implementation of automatic document generation can optimize and automate the process, reduce possible errors and costs. In the end, all types of licenses of the used program were compared and the most suitable for the analyzed process was selected.
Design of a porcelain set for additive manufacturing
Vítek, Jan ; Haltof, Vladimír (referee) ; Škaroupka, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a set of porcelain coffee cups. The principles of parameterization are used in the design, as well as an innovative way of creating decor using generative algorithms. The thesis examines the possibility of using additive technologies in the production of porcelain products, both in the production of molds and in the direct production by SLA technology. It also includes the development of material for 3D printing from porcelain and finding suitable process parameters for printing.
Musical instruments recognition from audio records using Music information retrieval techniques
Kárník, Radoslav ; Mucha, Ján (referee) ; Kiska, Tomáš (advisor)
This paper discusses design and implementation of classifying system for recognition of musical instruments from audio records with use of Musical Information Retrieval techniques. In the first part, paper describes parameters used for instrument classification, calculation of said parameters from records and reduction of feature vector. Next part is devoted to tuning and implementation of various classifiers with focus on neural networks. These classifiers ar further tested on records from IRMAS dataset wchich contain 11 musical instruments playing solo or with other instruments. Results of classifiers tested on different parameters and different numbers of instruments are discussed in the last part.
Sports car rear wing numerical optimization
Feldová, Petra ; Rudolf, Pavel (referee) ; Štefan, David (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on optimization of rear wing of sport car by using open-source software. The optimization of 2D profile of the rear wing is present in this thesis. Python environment was chosen for optimization and evolutionary algorithm was is used as optimization function. This algorithm is further connected to Xfoil software, which is computing aerodynamic characteristic. The ratio of the lift and drag coefficients (C_L/C_D) is chosen as parameter which considers the aerodynamic efficiency. The CFD computation of flowing around the whole car is provided in open-source software OpenFOAM. . The profile optimization results to approximately 7.9 % raise of the parameter C_L/C_D, in the same wing stability. The main benefit of this work is to use open-source software for the optimization and CFD analysis, which in future might save company’s resources by not buying expensive commercial software licenses.
Numerical weather prediction with WRF model
Kotků, Jirka ; Belda, Michal (advisor) ; Huszár, Peter (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the comparison of the simulation results using different vertical coordinate systems, namely the terrain following system and the hybrid vertical coordinate system. We begin with the brief introduction of numerical prediction models in general and then the introduction of the WRF model used in this thesis. The attention is paid to the description of vertical coordinate systems as well as to the presentation of its components and the process of starting a simulation. The next section describes the setting of the WRF model used in this thesis. It is followed by the graphical output of the simulations with the comparison of the results. Comparison of the vertical temperature and wind speed profile was made with real data from the soundings performed in Prague-Libuš by the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute.
Design of the shin protector for direct digital manufacturing
Dlabaja, Štěpán ; Haltof, Vladimír (referee) ; Škaroupka, David (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design parametric shin pad for skiers, directly manufacturable the method of FFF from ABS plastic. Selected shin was scanned using 3D scanner and the shin pad with damping elements and parametrically customizable ribs. The final solution is experimental with potential for future adjustments.
Design of the hammer set
Král, Ondřej ; Haltof, Vladimír (referee) ; Škaroupka, David (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on the design of a product family of hammers by the means of generative design. The core of this thesis is the creation of an algorithm which will generate hammers of unified visual style, but varying properties based on input parameters. It is necessary that these hammers are in shape, ergonomics and dimensions adequate to preferences of the target group of professional workers and that they are producible in series and from commonly used materials. The output is a set of three hammers with different mass and dimensional properties.
Library for Python used for dysarthric speech parameterization
Koutný, Tomáš ; Galáž, Zoltán (referee) ; Mucha, Ján (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on parameterization of dysartoric speech. Attention is paid to methods of Speech Signal Analysis for Parkinson's disease, modern parametrization techniques, which are designed to quantify the damage of motoric aspects of speech and implementation of selected parameters in Python. The main goal of this work was to create a parameter library that is realized in the PyCharm development environment.
