New Challenges for Directors of secondary Schools in the Czech Republic and France - Project management in the sphere of education

This diploma thesis explores the issue of project activity which has become a new challenge for school directors in EU member states for the last few years. The projects not only contribute to the fulfillment of the tasks of the educational process, but also to the development of the school environment. The aim of this thesis is to compare the use of project possibilities within the research sample of directors of secondary schools in the Czech Republic and France. Theoretical background specifies the project and its cycle together with the strategy, tools and subsidy opportunities within the educational and regional policy of the European Union. The empirical part investigates the differences between the activity and success in the use of grant funds within the sample of directors of Czech and French schools and views on the form of international cooperation in the Comenius sub-program of lifelong learning.
Financial and Economic Evaluation of Road Infrastructure Projects

The thesis is dealing with the financial and economic analysis of the road infrastructure project. The theoretical part focusses on the explanation of basic terms from the field of public investments. Next it is describing assessment methods of the public investment projects and then it is analysing projects in the transport infrastructure in detail. The practical part is dealing with the assessment of the public project concerning the reconstruction of the road II/422 Podivín-Lednice based on price normatives which set the basic price including real costs for the realization of the buildings of the project given. Next this price is set higher according to building risks presumed. The second part of the thesis is dealing with financial and economic assessment of the project based on the analysis of costs and benefits realized in the electronic system MS2014+, which is used for filling and submitting electronic applications to support projects from structural funds of the European Community and from National resources between the years of 2014 and 2020.
Cross-border cooperation between Czech Rebulic and Slovakia during 2007-2013 programming period 2007-2013

As the time goes by, one former Czech-Slovak territory has separated, forming two independent republics and members of European union. Division of common territory by a border, however, cannot affect cultural and linguistic proximity, which can be clearly identified in cross-border regions. The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the cooperation amongst six regions located near mutual border during 2007-2013 period. By the means of publicly available content, an analysis of allocation of financial resources from ERDF and national budgets is executed. The qualitative evaluation of cross-border cooperation projects is delivered by the proposal of matrix for territorial impact assessment. According to percentual fulfillment of given goals, impact on barrier effect reduction and selected projects analysis, the overall added value of cross-border cooperation between Czech and Slovak republic during 2007-2013 period is specified. Main findings are then a result of combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative indicators for the researched period.

Investment Construction in the Frame of the Regional Development

Abstract The aim of this study is to create a general knowledge about function of Regional, Cohesion policy in the European Union and in the Czech Republic. The introduction of the theoretical part describes the history of EU and the formation of regional policy. Then it characterizes main goals, instruments and programmes of the regional policy. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the completed project „Level crossings in the track section Frýdlant nad Ostravicí – Ostravice“, which was co-funded by the European Union under the Operational Programme Transport.
The Possibilities of financing of Czech intermediate schools from EU structural founds

The thesis is focused on the financing of secondary schools and especially on the possibility of utilization of money from EU funds in the programming periods 2007 2020, with a special consideration the experiences of the period 2007 - 2013. The topic of funding and support for education in the last decade is an extremely discussed theme at all levels of political and social life. Following to a discussion about the importance of secondary education and its downgrade after 1989, the theme of financing has been one of the most important. The basis of this study is to evaluate the Operational Programme "Education for Competitiveness", especially the previous programming period 2007 - 2013 based on projects and experiences of directors from selected schools in České Budějovice, based on a literature search of books and information resources. Partial aim is to identify their expectations and possible first experience with the Operational Programme "Research, Development and Education" of the current programming period, based on a comparison of successful projects. Simultaneously, through the analysis of a questionnaire survey to answer questions the possibility of financing secondary schools in the South Region. In the final part of thesis are summarized the results gained from the questionnaires and a confirmation or a negation of the research assumptions, as assumed at the beginning. At the end of thesis is drawn out author´s own view of problem and his understanding of the developed problematic, the human - now with a partially knowledgeable of issue, but mostly no specialist and his personal view of the problem of school financing.

Subject of my Bachelor’s thesis is funding of chosen project from European Union funds. In first part is described theory related with the theme. There are specified basic ideas, terms and particulars. In second part is done financial analysis of company and analysis of own project according the theory. There are proposed next solutions funding of the project in last part.
Utilization of the ESF for Solving Unemployment Problem in the District of Břeclav

This bachelor´s thesis deals with issue of unemployment in the District of Breclav and its solution through the use of financial resources from the European Social Fund for active employment policy. The theoretical part of the work focus on knowledge of the European Union and on issue of unemployment. The analytical part is devoted to research unemployment in the District of Breclav, retraining and further target groups in active employment policy. Proposal part of work deals with the questionnaire survey, to assess the effectiveness of retraining. The result of bachelor´s thesis are proposals to improve the situation regarding unemployment and retraining.
Financing of Project by the Help of EU Funds

This bachelor thesis deals with the project that tries to implement an innovated product to the production. Theoretical part describes necessary terms. There are used in analytical and application part afterwards. The company is finally able to determine right selection of the operation program in order to ask for a grant. Moreover, the company can decide whether it is possible to fund the project in different means of financing and how benefit these means are.

My bachelor’s thesis‘ main topic is financing from Structural funds of European union. This topic is discussed much, because from these funds is exempt considerable amount of money for all member states of European union, including the Czech republic. Many companies try to reach and get some of these funds through their projects, for which they request grants. In my thesis, I will concentrate on Structural funds of EU and projects prepared for application for grant.
