Water soluble cores for aluminum alloys and their influence on the surface quality of castings
Blažík, Petr ; Tomek, Ladislav (referee) ; Kaňa, Václav (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to examine a possible influence of the water soluble cores on the microstructure of commonly used aluminum alloys AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg in the lost wax technology. This thesis only deals with the changes of the eutecticum on the contact surface between the metal and the core and its surroundings where interactions can appear between the core based on the alkali salts NaCl and KCl and the alloy modified by sodium or strontium. The experimental part investigates the influence of the alkali salts on the modification additives and the modification of the structure itself.
Optimation of manufacturing technology of high value castings
Šmíd, Dušan ; Vašťák, Patrik (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The main target of this thesis is to choose the suitable hard filled wax for the invest-ment casting foundry Fimes a.s. There are several suppliers of these waxes in the World and in this work waxes of the most reputable suppliers from Europe have been investigated. During these tests there were mainly technological properties of the waxes and also dimensions of both wax patterns and also the final castings measu-red. Suitability of the tested waxes, their technological characteristics, analysis of di-mensions and finally basic economical calculations have been then used in this the-sis as a tool for the recommendation for the most suitable wax for the Fimes foundry.
Possibilities of using filtration in lost wax technology
Boček, Vítězslav ; Soukupová, Lucie (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
Final thesis, elaborated within the bachelor study field of Manufacturing technology, deals with literary analysis of using filtration in lost wax technology and with designing of best gating system for those filters. As result of this thesis the best criteria for choosing the best filter for aplication in lost wax casting and literary study maping possibilities of locating those filters in gating system was compiled.
Actual trends in manufacture of ceramic shell moulds
Štipl, Pavel ; Vašťák, Patrik (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the current trends in the production of ceramic shell moulds. The first part describes the history of investment casting, their use and an overview of world production. In the following parts is out of print the production process of ceramic shell mould using contemporary materials and technologies. The final section describes the defects associated with the production of ceramic shell moulds. The aim of this work is to create a literature search focused on raw materials and processes used to create a ceramic shell mould for investment casting technology.
Possibilities of using modern methods in manufacturing of prototype castings
Novák, Luboš ; Cupák, Petr (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
Rapid prototyping is a set of technologies applicable to the production and development of prototype castings. It is a means for accelerating and cheaper prototyping, or for the preparation of small series production of castings. The thesis is focused on some of these production processes and technologies.
Present state of investment casting technology
Soukupová, Lucie ; Šmíd, Dušan (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The Bachelor’s thesis deals with the latest trends in investment casting technology, from wax pattern manufacture, ceramic shell manufacture, de-waxing, shell heat treatment up to metal pouring and finishing operation. In the first part, the outline of the world production and the usage of investment castings nowadays are introduced. The other parts of the project include the basic technique of using new technologies. The aim of this work is developing a literature search focused on the most modern equipment and raw materials that are used in investment casting technology and testing of wax mixtures and ceramic slurries.
Rapid prototyping methods suitable for foundry technology
Kadlecová, Hana ; Kuzma, Zbyněk (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
Rapid Prototyping is an essential part of functioning of the modern foundry. The aim of this bachelor thesis is an overview of modern technologies of Rapid Prototyping (RP) techniques. Furthermore, this work addresses the most important applications in the foundry industry with a focus on investment casting technology.
Application of rapid prototyping in foundry industry
Krejčí, Zbyněk ; Macků, Martin (referee) ; Kosour, Vojtěch (advisor)
These bachelor thesis deals with the practical aplication of rapid prototyping at foundry industry. In the first part of the thesis is given list of the most important methods of rapid prototyping, those principles, advantages and disadvantages. And the second part is dealing with aplication of these methods at foundry industry, and its evaluation.
Possibilities of using modern methods in manufacturing of prototype castings focused to combination of RP and investment casting
Sysel, Karel ; Kosour, Vojtěch (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The objective of this thesis is to close the possibilities of modern foundry industry and demonstrate that nowadays it isn’t only about production of inaccurate casts, which were products of a lengthy industrial processes and testing of the new casting moulds. So that the thesis is concentrate on possibilities of the Rapid Prototyping Technologies and investment casting, because especially combination of them gets a new possibilities and direction to the modern foundry industry.
"Net Shape" technologies suitable for castings
Bartoš, Filip ; Zemčík, Ladislav (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
This thesis has the task to gather basic information about the technologies used in the manufacture of finished castings, i.e. without further processing, the so-called "Net-Shape". It is focused on technology investment pattern, the combustible model shell casting "Croning“, die casting pressure, die casting to ingot and centrifugal casting. All these technologies are compared in terms of specific features, range use, production economy, the advantages, disadvantages, the resulting quality of castings and other important factors.
