The theme of the work is the preparation of the production company to ISO 14001 certification, which means describing organizational processes, description of jobs and making the necessary documents. Today, the high quality of products and services expected to increasingly demanding customer for granted due to growing competition. Considerable support for the education of various governmental and non-governmental organizations has also increased the number of customers who talks about his responsibility to the environment.

Voluntary approaches as an alternative environmental tool

This paper is focused on finding the motivations that guide companies in Czech republic to apply voluntary approaches. The aim of this work is to define the most effective voluntary approaches. Economics has already analyzed conditions under which voluntary approaches are more preferable than administrative and economic environmental tools. But the question is if the business practice reflects theoretical recommendations. Based on a survey, the most common motivations to apply voluntary approaches will be analyzed. Then it will be possible to identify or modify the most effective voluntary approach.

Application of ISO 14001:2004 requirements in the company Spedos s.r.o.

The objective of the graduation theses is to analyze the fulfilment of international standards ISO 14001 requirements in the company Spedos s.r.o. together with the proposal of building up the missing requirements. Theoretical part focuses on the importance and development of international environment protection as well as of environmental activities in Czech Republic. Followed there is described a brief characteristics of environmental tools. The final section of theoretical part belongs to description of international standard ISO 14001, the international and domestic scope of the standard, emphasis of the benefits and comparison with another environmental management system approaches.

The Implications and Impacts of Introducing an EMS in Big Industrial Enterprises

The teoretic part of the document is about sustainable development, its reasons and history, about instruments of measuration and achievement. Next there is described the Environmental Management System, its extensiveness, requirements, benefits for company and the standards of EMS. In the document are described the differences between certification according to ISO 14000 or EMAS. Costs according to the etaps and posibility to financial subventions are analyzed in this document too. The next part is research-based tail, based on list of question to Czech companies, in which EMS is implemented. The research was pointed to prove the declared benefits for companies, experiences with EMS and general attitude of companies to this issue. In the end of the document there are comments, results of research and knowledge, which was observed during the research.
