Using methods of drama education in preschool children

In my work I deal with dramatic education and its use of dramatic methods in preschool children. The thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part specifies dramatic education and concepts, methods, techniques associated with it, as well as the development of pre-school children and pre-school education, in which I also deal with the Framework Educational Program for Pre-school Education. Part of the practical part is a project on the theme of "Space", thanks to which I find out how to use methods in kindergarten. The main idea of my bachelor thesis is to prove the importance of drama education when working with preschool children. In my work I use observation method, method of interview with colleagues and parents, observation of colleagues and parents.
The Use of Acting and Drama in Education in Kindergartens as a Means of Social Skills Development of Preschool Children

This thesis deals with the development of social skills in preschool education using drama education methods. The thesis consists of two parts. In the theoretical part one can find the characteristics of the current concept of preschool education with regard to drama education, the definition of the term, as well as its principles, methods, forms, means. The thesis also deals with drama education as a means for social and cooperative learning.It deals with play and free play. Part of the practical part is the structure of the lesson, according to which there are 15 lessons focused on the development of social skills using drama education methods. All lessons are linked to the season and some are motivated stories. Each lesson includes objectives for the development of social skills which are linked to the national framework educational plan. For the lesson evaluation I used the method of observation, pupil evaluation and the teacher self-reflection.
Influence of literary-dramatic fairy tale plays and exercises on the development of pre-school children personalities

The aim of the thesis is to develop and enrich the children's side of personality through an entertaining form of literary drama and fairy tale exercises. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first theoretical part deals with the explanation of the basic terms of drama education, as well as the concepts of play and exercise. It also characterizes the pre-school age in terms of developmental psychology. It describes physical and motorical development, cognitive processes and emotional and social development. Then it conceives the theme of fairy tales. It deals with the importance of fairy tales for the development of child's personality and psychological analysis of selected fairy tales. The second practical part presents the proposed project for preschool children called "Know the realm of fairy tales". In the end, the practical experience with the project in the selected kindergarten is evaluated. At the end of the thesis is evaluated, whether the goal of the thesis is fulfilled.
Ways of Using Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in Teaching English

Abstract Diploma thesis describes methodical ways of using Lewis Carroll´s Alice in Wonderland. The structure of the thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with using literature in teaching foreign languages. It describes the life and work of Lewis Carroll, defines teaching of literature and describes the methods of drama teaching in foreign languages. Practical part contains a complete drama and some techniques used for the literary work. A DVD film of the drama Alice in Wonderland is an insertion of the thesis.

Drama and educational lessons designed with primary school children

In my thesis I focus on the benefits of drama education for primary school pupils. In the introduction, I consider the theoretical basis of drama education, project teaching, their use and the impact on the child's personality. An important chapter of the theoretical part is the developmental specifics of first-grade children. Main part of the work is the design of educational lessons for all grades of primary school. The focus of the work is the elaboration of drama-educational lessons within one topic (St. Ursula - the patroness of Ursula's education). Every lesson is designed so that it corresponds to the developmental level of students in a particular year. The practical part contains action research and evaluation of the questionnaire, which will check the depth of students' knowledge before and after the project within the given topic. Further includes a questionnaire for feedback from teachers of individual classes. The implementation of the proposed project is supplemented by a description, self-reflection and comparison of work in individual years. The second part of the diploma thesis also includes a comparison of the used methods of drama education in terms of functionality, with regard to the age and developmental specifics of students of individual years. Methods and techniques of drama education as a prevention of patological phenomena at primary school

This diploma thesis deals with methods and techniques of drama education, how they help prevent pathological phenomena at a young school age. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the characteristics of drama education, the definition of methods and techniques, the history of drama education, and also anchoring in the FEP ZV. I also deal with the topic of pathological phenomena. Finally, in the theoretical work I describe the possibility of using drama education for the prevention of pathological phenomena. The practical part deals with introducing students to pathological phenomena and their prevention. A secondary goal is to integrate individuals into the group of 3rd class.
