The development of marriage rate and divorce rate in the Czech Republic in 1989-2017

The bachelor thesis deals with the development of marriage rate and divorce rate in the Czech Republic between 1989 and 2017. In the theoretical part is defined the basic concepts and concepts connected with social and family policy, and the basic demographic indicators associated with this work are described. The practical part focuses on the development of marriage rate and divorce rate in the Czech Republic and regions. The development of the causes of the marriage breakdown and the influence of minors on divorce rate are also characterized. Considerable attention is paid to the development of birth rates and subsequent regression analysis describes the effect of marriage rate and divorce rate on the number of live births. The last part deals with development of gross domestic product in the Czech Republic and its relation to marriage rate and divorce rate. Finally, the work summarizes the findings and the development of marriage and divorce related to changes in society after the fall of the political regime in 1989.

Divorce rate in Czech Republic: cross-sectional and cohort view Abstract The bachelor thesis deals with trends of divorce rate in the Czech Republic after the World War II up to the present. In the theoretical part it focuses on the legislative changes affecting divorce rate during the period under study and on the population structure according to marital status. Furthermore, it describes divorce rate development on the territory of the Czech Republic using demographic indicators measuring divorce quantum and timing. This part mainly shows the development of total and crude divorce rate and the impact of average marriage length on divorce frequency. The study of major causes of divorce and role of a minor child, or the number of minor children in the family on the divorce rate is included. Next chapter focuses on the study of divorce rate of selected marriage cohorts. The last chapter is dedicated to the international comparison of divorce rate. This thesis deals with selected aspects of women's position in different cultures, in this case Czech and Mongolian. For their analytical evaluation, I have chosen the themes, especially concerning public and family life in the context of political and social development in both countries. In this context, the main subject of my thesis is, especially, an effort to know and understand the distinct role of women in the family, the possibility of her entry into active public life and the access to education.

Changes in the marital status in the age group from 15 to 59 years in the Czech Republic after 1930 Abstract The aim of this thesis is to analyze the changes in population structure according to the individual marital statuses. For this analysis sex-specific and age-specific nuptuality rates and multistate life tables were use, in order to be able to describe transitions between the individual marital statuses. In the first part of this thesis the data sources and the methods of creating the transversal increment- decrement life tables were described. Following chapters deal with the historical development of the Czech Republic population since the year 1930 and the trends of nuptuality, divorce and mortality. Second part is dedicated to the analysis of the transitions between the individual marital statuses. The findings of this thesis conclude that people in the individual marital states tend to react similarly to the historical events in Czech Republic, unless some events are purposefully aiming to influence only a part of the population. Divorce of the population of European countries, the temporal development and spatial differentials

This bachelor thesis deals with divorce of the population of European countries, the temporal development and spatial differentials. The work is divided into chapters, which are divided into various subsections. The first part focuses on the definition of the family and its theoretical conception. The second part deals with the basic concepts relating to divorce and describes divorce rates. The following chapter is devoted to the history and distribution in the Czech Republic and in various European countries, which is sulemented by the reasons and causes of divorces in selected European countries. Another part analyzes the frequency, intensity and spatial differentiation of divorce by individual European countries on the basis of selected methods of assessment, such as gross index and divorce, the total divorce rate and divorce by age. The analysis is accompanied by graphs and map outputs. The last part is devoted to the categorization of countries according to the intensity of divorce.
Marriage - outdated institution?

This work is evaluating perceived values of marriage in Czech Republic and their implications to the role of a social worker. It is divided into three chapters, the first is focusing on some indicators of general quality of marriages, namely the number of people choosing cohabitation over marriage, number of divorces and children produced out of wedlock. It is also describing the value of marriage in Czech population as witnessed in sociological survey. The second chapter is defining marriage from theological perspective. That is marriage as portrayed in The Bible and sacramental marriage. The last chapter defines the goals and values of social work in conjunction with marriage, defining the role and personality of a practicing social worker. It is also covering the topic of ethical issues and ethical codex of social workers.
