The Analysis of Databases Suitable for IoT Environment
Kohout, Petr ; Vrána, Roman (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
In recent years, the volume of data stored in applications of all types has increased. As the volume of data grows, the demands on databases increase. The classic relational databases are no longer suitable. Therefore, it is switching to new, non-relational storage (called NoSQL). During this work, NoSQL databases focusing on processing large data volumes were analyzed and compared for their performance and system requirements. In addition, requirements for new sensor data storage for IoTCloud project were specified. Driver for database Cassandra was implemented and integrated into the IoTCLoud project.
Air Quality Analysis in Office and Residential Areas
Tisovčík, Peter ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
The goal of the thesis was to study the indoor air quality measurement focusing on the concentration of carbon dioxide. Within the theoretical part, data mining including basic classification methods and approaches to dimensionality reduction was introduced. In addition, the principles of the developed system within IoTCloud project and available possibilities for measurement of necessary quantities were studied. In the practical part, the suitable sensors for given rooms were selected and long-term measurement was performed. Measured data was used to create the system for window opening detection and for the design of appropriate way of air change regulation in a room. The aim of regulation was to improve air quality using natural ventilation.
Integration of Sensors and Actors into the BeeeOn System
Bednařík, David ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Viktorin, Jan (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis, the task was to acquaint with components of smart home from these vendors Belkin WeMo, Philips Hue, BeeWi, to study their communication protocol and create modules to BeeeOn system to control them. In the theoretical part of thesis is described how the BeeeOn system works and how the single device from mentioned manufacturers behaves and communicates. In the practical part, it is mentioned the way of extension of BeeeOn Gateway application to modules for control the smart home devices. This part also includes the methods of testing and verification of accuracy of implementation.
Automatic Testing of the BeeeOn System
Wolfert, Richard ; Hujňák, Ondřej (referee) ; Viktorin, Jan (advisor)
This Master's thesis is about analysis of Internet of Things project BeeeOn, design and production of unit, integration and system tests and their automation by utilization of Continuous integration system Jenkins CI. The theoretical part is devoted to software testing fundamentals and Continuous integration systems. The main point of this thesis is about specification and description of BeeeOn system, its requirements for automatic testing and its implementation. In conclusion, the results of this work and expansion possibilities are discussed.
Server for Collecting Sensor Data and Control of Active Elements
Halaj, Jozef ; Hujňák, Ondřej (referee) ; Viktorin, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis aims on communication with remote sensors and active elements in the smart home system called BeeeOn. The individual parts of the BeeeOn system are described with respect to the current insufficient communication principle and implementation. For communication with BeeeOn gateways, the WebSocket technology is used. It allows communication on netwoks with a restricted access to privileged ports. The implemented server is in principle capable of serving a high number of BeeeOn gateways that works as a bridge among the server and the remote sensors. The communication is secured with SSL/TLS, it uses confirmation mechanism to guarantee reliability and it is easily extendable by other protocol messages. It enables the system to send asynchronous commands to the BeeeOn gateway and to the connected devices. The server is implemented in C++ language. The most common communication scenarios were tested by automated tests.
Smart Home with the Third Party Sensors
Tisovčík, Peter ; Hujňák, Ondřej (referee) ; Viktorin, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to acquaint with selected wireless sensors, which use Z-Wave and OASiS protocol and to create the uniform interface for BeeeOn system providing communication with the selected sensors. The theoretical part of the thesis describes sensors and USB devices that serve for communication with sensors or operating system to which they are connected. In the practical part, the BeeeOn application was extended by device manager which can support the other communication protocols.
Automated Processing of Log Files in BeeeOn System
Beňo, Marek ; Krobot, Pavel (referee) ; Vampola, Pavel (advisor)
The paper concerns with processing of log files from server applications . System architecture is based on study of availible technologies . Firstly , design of unified log format and impelementation of unified logger library is described . Secondly , installation and configuration of used technologies and their integration is described . The result is log processing system designed to be scalable in the future . System was tested and integrated into project BeeeOn .
Extensible Home Automation System
Novák, Martin ; Viktorin, Jan (referee) ; Vampola, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on design and development of a system for a project smart home BeeeOn that aims to enable automated processing of data acquired from homes. The thesis describes the project's architecture to which the system should be integrated. It identifies several opportunities for automation to increase user comfort and to reduce the energy demands of households. Based on them is designed extensible system enabling implementation and management of the automations on BeeeOn server. This thesis also focuses on implementation of this system and several specific automations. At the end is described the testing of the system, its integration to the target server, and several designs of the system's future extensions.
Extension of Intelligent Home by Thermoregulation Control
Köszegy, Lukáš ; Hájek, Josef (referee) ; Viktorin, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the integration of the heat regulator VPT made by the company Thermona into the system for intelligent home control called BeeeOn. In the theoretical part, the most specific components of BeeeOn system and heat regulator VPT are described. The most important part of this thesis consists of the design and implementation. It focuses on gather values measured by the VPT regulator by means of the HTTP protocol. The measured values are provided in a separate JSON data file. In these parts there are also described the necessary elements, which have to be integrated into the BeeeOn system and VPT regulator.
Home Automation with Third-Party Sensors
Macháč, Matej ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Košař, Vlastimil (advisor)
The aim of this work is to evaluate possibilities to integrate wireless devices for home automation in BeeeOn system developed on the Faculty of Information Technology in Brno. This thesis describes USB modules that allow connenction to these devices. It describes the communication protocols that the modules can handle and devices using these protocols. It also deals with FHEM system, its features and possibilities of communication with the BeeeOn system. A reader can also find decription of implementation of every module created to provide support of wireless devices to the gate of BeeeOn system.
