Linguistic analysis of historical text by Augustin Mitis Kázání o povětří

The topic of thesis Linguistic Analysis of Historical Text by Augustin Mitis Kázání o povětří is the linguistic analysis of historical text Kázanj O Powětřj, which comes from the year 1620 and his author was Augustin Mitis. Text is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part the orthography and language of humanistic era is described. Practical section is bringing results of analysis of linguistic layers: orthography, phonetics, morphology, word formation and syntax. During the creation of the thesis is used the qualitative textual analysis, which is supplemented by the quantitative statistical analysis. The supplement of this thesis contains additional research, which contains analysis of two pages of print Wýklad Modlitby Boží, which comes from the same printing house as analyzed text. In the chapter about orthography the way of print is described. In this print was used the Brethren՚s orthography. Analysis of phonetic changes shows that they are not common. The chapter about morphology is focusing on representation of word classes and grammatical categories of nouns and verbs. Councillor manual of town Pelhřimov from the years 1610-1613

The bachelor thesis is an edition of councillor manual of town Pelhřimov from the years 1610-1613. Manual itself includes various types of notations. Among the most frequent of them belong financial materials, then testaments, permission to marriage or disputes among variuos people in town. The initial chapter deals with the history of the town. It shows the history from the foundation of the town to the beginning of the 17th century. Considering the second half of the 16th century as a turning point for the town´s later progress, major part of this chapter describes this specific period. Next part deals with the history of the town council and is divided into the three chapters. First of them is about town council in local context between the years 1547-1620, since this period brought many changes. The second one is about the history of the town council in Pelhřimov and the last one shows people, who were town´s officials between years 1610 to 1613. Next chapter attends to the edition itself. You can find its analysis there, which means inner and external critics, including the fate of the document. Edition iteslf is attachment of this work, together with apparatus of notes, with list of abbreviations, name index and other attachments.
Baroque liturgical textiles in the collections of the Episcopal Diocese of České Budějovice

v anglickém jazyce The book presents an array of woven patterned fabrics from church treasuries in the territory of the Diocese of České Budějovice. The examples provided originate in the period spanning from the 16th to the 18th century, and they represent only a small selection of the surviving collections. The focal point consists of a magnificent collection of textiles from the 18th century, documenting the development of the individual historical spheres of decors overlapping into corresponding variants of design. The variability of patterns pertaining to this century is unusually high, and it combines a large number of sources of inspiration with roots in exotic overseas countries. The catalogue entries are furnished with brief technological analyses that offer an insight into the textile production of the respective periods and, at the same time, they provide researchers with a deeper understanding of the individual fabrics on display. Although the area of the Diocese of České Budějovice to a certain degree exceeds the boundaries of the Region of South Bohemia, the collections examined were, in their majority, imported from western European countries manufacturing weaving products of world renown. Processing of non-musical themes in compositions for keyboard instruments

The bachelor thesis is focused for processing programme music in keyboard literature in second half of the seventeenth century in Germany with a focus on Johann Kuhnau and his Biblical sonatas. The aim of this work is outline idea perception of music in second half of the seventeenth century in Germany and focusing non musical themes, which were widely used in Baroque. I focused on the analysis of individual Johann Kuhnau´s Biblical sonatas and on combining the biblical story with music. The knowledge for me is the depth of this connection and the detailed thinking of baroque composers.
Jan Adolf of Schwarzenberg and his Correspondence in Spanish

The presented diploma thesis focuses on analyzing Spanish correspondence written by Jan Adolf of Schwarzenberg (1615-1683) between 1647 and 1683. The correspondence has yet to be thoroughly explored and is deposited in the State Regional Archive in Třeboň, the department of Český Krumlov - Rodinný archiv Schwarzenberků. Through a content analysis, the author tries to explore the relationship between Jan Adolf of Schwarzenberg and people of a different social status with whom the count had established a written communication; i.e. the author makes an effort to reconstruct the communication network of the baroque nobleman and examine the content of the letters. The author also suggests the typology of Spanish Schwarzenberg participants of the communication, who were divided into Habsburg family members, emperor's emissaries in Madrid, courtiers of Madrid, Spanish emissaries in Vienna, individuals working in the Spanish Netherlands, clerics and agents.
Italian Book Collection of Marie Ernestine of Eggenberg

This thesis deals with the Italian books preserved in the Eggenberg Library in the Český Krumlov Castle, particulary with the Italian book collection of the princess Maria Ernestina of Eggenberg, born Schwarzenberg, which is seen as the "mirror" of intellectual interests and lifestyle of the noblewoman of the baroque period and as an image of reception of Italian literature in the 17th century Czech lands from the side of literate and cosmopolitan aristocracy.
Adam Pavel Slavata (1603-1657)

In the bachelor thesis author tried to describe the life fate of the South Bohemian aristocrat Adam Pavel Slavata (1603-1657) in context to the period events at the beginning of the 17th century. Author mainly focused on different concepts of life between Adam Pavel and his father Vilém Slavata of Chlum and Košumberk (1572-1652), which came after the divorce of Adam Pavel and Marie Markéta of Eggenberg in the early 1630´s. The reverse of life was mainly reflected in Adam Pavel´s views on the ruling court in Vienna and the court career, which was essential to Vilém's life. Adam Pavel left the Imperial court permanently and settled in Nová Bystřice, where he managed over the Slavata dominion, together with the officers who worked in Jindřichův Hradec and in Telč, during the Thirty Years War. Author used the personal correspondence of Vilém Slavata from Chlum and Košumberk, which is stored in the Family Archives of the Slavata in the department of the State Archives of Třeboň in Jindřichův Hradec. Based on extensive scientific literature on nobility, written especially by Petr Maťa and Václav Bůžek, author has compiled the life story of the individual from the highest circles of the society.
Everyday life in the early modern culture from the perspective of Zuzana Černínová

In my diploma thesis, I will deal with the life of Zuzana Černínová, Czech noblewoman, wife of Jan Černín from Chudenice and mother of Humprecht Jan Černín. My aim will be to approach everyday life in the early modern culture, particularly in period of Bílá hora, through Zuzana Černínová, and her numerous correspondence with her son, which has been largely preserved and was published by František Dvorský and Zdeněk Kalista. From the comprehensive correspondence, I set apart the main topics that have become the base of my thesis. I will divide my thesis into two parts. In the first part I will deal with the definition of the term "everyday life" and here I will interpret all important life events such as birth, marriage, death and funeral, where I will focus closely on Zuzana Černínová and her family. In relation to these life events I will also include the widow's dowry and the legal requirements associated with it or the influence of illnesses on contemporary society. In the second part of my research, I will focus on the person of Zuzana Černínová. I am going to analyze her position of the noblewoman which changed before and after the death of her husband, the rights she acquired after the death of her husband and her situation.
