Author: Martina Pejcharová Institution: Univerzita Karlova v Praze, lékařská fakulta v Hradci Králové Rehabilitační klinika - fakultní nemocnice Hradec Králové Title of thesis: Fyzioterapie po poranění kolenního kloubu u fotbalistů Supervisor: Mgr. Petr Molnár Number of pages: 94 Number of supplements: 0 Year of defense: 2012 Key words: physiotherapy, knee joint, injuries of knee joint, rehabilitation, rupture of LCA The bachelor thesis describes the injuries of knee joint of football players. It concerns with anatomical, biomechanical, kinesiological issues, and also with various other types of injuries of knee joint, its consequential examination and different types of treatment including the physiotherapy. Some sections focus more on ligamentum cruciatum anterior, which occur mostly as an injury of football players. This type of damage is discussed in empirical part of this thesis, where is tested the beneficence of physiotherapy. The treatment procedure is applied to professional players in productive age, however, the principles are general and it is possible to use them in common practice.

Title: Case report of physiotherapeutic care of patient after implantation of unicompartmental knee replacement Summary: This study focuses on the kazuistic of the patient with unicompartmental knee replacement. It consists of a general and a specialized part. In the first theoretical part are described the anatomic structures, biomechanics of the knee, gonarthrosis, the conservative and surgical treatment of gonarthrosis, and are also discussed approaches of physiotherapy in patients after partial knee replacement. The main part of thesis is the specialized part. In this second part, a case report is described. It contains anamnesis, initial kinesiologic examination, course of the therapy, final kinesiologic examination and evaluation of the therapy. The results of physiotherapeutic care of the patient are: increased range of motion of the knee, improvement of muscular strength of lower limbs and the overall improvement of the patient, leading to self-sufficiency. The main objective of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive view on the issue of unicondylar knee joint and the practical application of physiotherapy practices for selected patient. Key words: Knee joint; unicondylar endoprotesthesis; physiotherapy.
The most common knee injury in volleyball
Přádová, Kateřina ; Crhonková, Radka (advisor) ; Čech, Zdeněk (referee)
A knee is the most complicated joint in our body. It is commonly injured during volleyball, mainly resulting as a knee pain syndrome or an acute rupture of an anterior cruciate ligament. In its theoretical part this bachelor thesis gives an overview of basic anatomy and biomechanics of the knee joint, it deals with the gender differences in morfology and neurophysiology and it contains a chapter dealing with biomechanics of the knee joint in volleyball. The second part of this bachelor thesis is a research study searching for the most common knee injury in volleyball, comparing differences among men and women and comparing differences between indoor and beach volleyball. The most quoted injury of the knee joint was the injury of the ligament, but as the most serious and the most common injury players named an overuse injury. We didn't manage to compare an incidence in indoor and beach volleyball due to the lack of data. We didn't find a significant difference in the incidence and a character of injuries among men and women.
