Electricity market model of the Czech Republic
Kubát, Jan ; Pelikán, Jan (advisor) ; Kodera, Jan (referee) ; Marvan, Miroslav (referee)
A competitive electricity market has been established in many European countries including the Czech Republic. The electricity market includes a limited number of significant producers and traders, which can be described by oligopoly model. Since the electricity transmission and distribution are regulated, I consider two types of players performing in the electricity market: producers of electricity and traders, who buy electricity from producers and sell it to final customers. I derive oligopoly model with producers and traders "a la Cournot" and calculate a formula of equilibrium strategies. I use these theoretical findings to build a dynamic oligopoly model Ele. Ele is formulated as a mixed complementary problem and calibrated on data for the Czech Republic and neighbor states for several scenarios. The model was specified and calculated in GAMS software by the PATH solver. The results represent a Nash equilibrium. That means for individual producers: electricity generation, investment in new power plants construction and emission permits purchases. For traders the results are: equilibrium purchases, sales and cross-border transfers of electricity in each particular time period. Ele derives also equilibrium regional wholesale and retail electricity prices, emission permit prices and prices of cross-border auctions. Ele results point to an economic profitability of new nuclear power plants constructions. Further, I formulate a game in short-term electricity market, where I advise to Czech market participants, subjects of settlement, how much and in which circumstances to buy or sell electricity. Equilibrium results obtained through simulations based on the principle of a fictive game show that the current payment system of imbalance in the Czech Republic does not increase the risk of instability of electricity networks.

The Strategy of Virtual Reality media a.s. in the international markets
Grmanová, Barbora ; Halík, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Berith, Július (referee)

Analysis of current customers perception of Pure Jatomi fitness
Nguyenová, Daniela ; Postler, Milan (advisor) ; Štumper, Jakub (referee)
The main objective of my diploma thesis is to analyse customers perception of Pure Jatomi Fitness brand. Based on results of a questionnaire survey, I recommended improvements that the management of the company should take into consideration in order to reach better results. In the theoretical part, I defined the concepts of service marketing, mark and its elements. Then I also focused on terms such as segmentation, targeting and positioning. The next chapter is devoted to the qualitative and quantitative research methods. In the practical part, I mentioned characteristics of Pure Jatomi Fitness company as to it's history and philosophy. I analysed the competitive market of Prague fitness centers and I presented the SWOT analysis. In the research part, I defined target segment of this fitness center chain with emphasis on analysing the perception of the respondents. In the final chapter, I proposed appropriate improvements that would strenghten the accurate position of Pure Jatomi Fitness.

Vliv tlaku v jednofázové kondenzaci
Wedekind, J. ; Hyvärinen, A-P. ; Brus, David ; Reguera, D.
The pressure-efect of a chemically inert carrier-gas on the nucleation rate is one of the biggest puzzles in the research of gas-liquid nucleation. Different experiments may show a positive effect a negative effect, or no effect at all, at the same experiment can show both trends for the same substance depending on temperature or for different substances at the same temperature. We show how this ambiguous pressure effect naturally arises from the competition of nonisothermal effects and pressure volume work. We are able to apparently contradictory experimental results and quantify the variation of the nucleation ability in the presence of an ambient gas. Molecular dynamics simulations confirm these predictions very well.

Load Monotony, Movement Deprivation and their Consequences to Pregnant and Non- Pregnant Drivers
Rampasová, Monika ; Jelen, Karel (advisor) ; Kubový, Petr (referee)
Aims: To implement laboratory measurement and determine consequences of monotony and movement deprivation on drivers in late pregnancy through the use of subjective and objective indicators. To implement the same experiment to non- pregnant woman. To compare results of these groups. Methods: Measurement of reaction times was realized on car simulator OCTAVIA 2. Application of subjective discomfort questionnaire and modified test POMS. Results: There was documented influence on actual mental condition and perception of discomfort to pregnant and non- pregnant drivers during driving. There were larger changes in results of pregnant drivers. Dependence between subjective and objective indicators wasn't found. Key words: monotony, discomfort, pregnancy, car, reaction time

Robot Battle Simulation
Matyska, Pavel ; Adámek, Jiří (advisor) ; Vaculín, Roman (referee)
In this work I will discuss general view on agent as objects of science research. One of the discussed type of agent is used for implementing robots in my software project. I will also discuss environment in which agents exist, for the first time from general view, then in my software project, in which the robot battle simulation proceed. In this work I will propose, how a software robot view as percept can be proposed, which situation can occur on the battle field, and how is the battle field as environment for robots designed. At the end of this work I justify my decision to choose the type of agent by comparing theirs advantages and disadvantages for the aim of the project.

Combination of simulation methods and methods of multicriterial decision while purchasing mobile tariffs by companies.
Millová, Terézia ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Digoň, Daniel (referee)
Because of the high penetration of private market, mobile operators are forced to focus on the services offered to another customer segment. Recently, corporate customers are seen as a promising segment and the competition within this segment is rising significantly. The growth of the competition and offer enhancement force companies to understand the decision making process in purchasing mobile services as much as possible. It is not only time consuming but also financially demanding for management even in small firms. This decision making process, that the companies go through, is the main topic of this Master Thesis. Main goal is neither to choose particular vendor of the mobile services nor to choose particular mobile tariff from the recent market offer but to inform about possibilities proposed by mathematical methods in the decision making area. In the Master Thesis different methods are suggested, compared and combined with the target to enable companies to make the right decision concerning their specific requirements.
