Annotation Stanislava Fedrová, 2009: Natural interests in the neighbourhood of Moravské Budějovice and their usage in natural science at primary school. There were two walks ready for processing of this thesis, one of them was a field trip and the other was a chat with naturalist. The aim of this thesis is to suggest activities leading to cognition of the neighbourhood of Moravské Budějovice and to place these activities in convinient natural subjects-oriented at primary school (especially natural science and elementary teaching and national history and geography).

Basic teaching methods and their use in social studies class

The thesis deals with the general educational program, the teaching methods, the group work and an evaluation. It also includes a description of the methodology and survey results of a public inquiry, which aimed to find out how students 6th grade of primary school are seen in the group work. The effort was made to increase the activity of the students to adopt an appropriate leadership lesson and to achieve a better understanding of the curriculum in social studies.

Comparison of chosen teaching methods in learning about nature at primary school

Diploma thesis work with chosen teaching methods which are used in learning about nature. This diploma thesis contains many instruction, recommendatious for teaching nature studies at primary school. It also contains a review of books, requisites and didactical plays which can be insert into seperate lessons. At the end there are single results of tests, which lead to comparison of chosen methods of student´s working, which are used by acquireing knowledge about nature. According to the results we can find out also the successfulness of solving separate types of questions in the test.

Agenda Setting in a Sociological Perspective

In this paper the author attempts to put forth a new theoretical explanation of how the phenomenon known as “agenda setting” functions. The paper begins with a summary of current knowledge about this phenomenon, including the two theoretical explanations given to date: the psychological explanation and the explanation based on trust in the information media.

Reinsurance for insurance companies

The thesis deals with the theoretical and practical aspects of reinsurance. In the theoretical part the types and forms of reinsurance cover are described including the advantages and disadvantages for each one of them. The thesis also describes the reinsurance from the legal point of view and the explanation of contract clauses is included. Special accounting treatment of reinsurance is described and at the end is the practical part which deals with mapping of processes in the reinsurance department.
