Separation Factors for Enrichment of Minor Components in Oils Extracted from Seeds with Supercritical CO2
Sovová, Helena
The present contribution shows that the same separation factors as for the oil fractionation in counter-current columns can be used to calculate the course of extraction of triacylglycerols and minor oil components in the initial period of fast extraction from crushed seed. Thus, the optimal conditions for minor component pre-concentration in extract or for removal of free fatty acids from the oil can be predicted. The values of separation factors for different minor components and for oils consisting mainly of C18 fatty acids are presented in dependence on the temperature, pressure, and CO2 density. The separation factors are based on both literature data and experimental data measured in our laboratory. The application of separation factors to calculate extraction yields of oil and its minor components in dependence on the amount of passed CO2 is presented, too.

Energy security of the CR and EU in context of the foreign relations with Russia
Antonova, Oksana ; Abrhám, Josef (advisor) ; Jeníček, Vladimír (referee)
This diploma thesis dissertates about energy security of the European Union and the Czech Republic in the context of the foreign relations with Russia. It is focused on Russia as the biggest supplier of energy resources to the fore mentioned regions. Energy dependence of EU and the Czech Republic on Russia exceeds 50 %. This dependency is inevitable and is caused by the insufficiency of EU's and Czech Republic's own resources and above all it is very dangerous because of Russia's frequent nondemocratic behavior. The gap in demand of energy resources cannot be covered even by alternative energy recourses, which are in this thesis divided into renewable recourses and nuclear energy.

The first chapter illustrates general characteristic of the extractive industry. It introduces the ranking of the extractive industry, main mining regions and the biggest producers of some minerals. The second chapter closely presents energy resources, i. e. mining of energy resources, their deposits, their usage and possible future developments. The third chapter focuses on the mineral resources, i. e. their extraction, deposits, usage and possible future trends. The fourth chapter introduces the political consequences related with global changes in the territorial structure of the extraction of the mineral resources.

Derivatives suitable for commodtiy risk hedging
Klepetko, Petr ; Scholleová, Hana (advisor) ; Štýbr, David (referee)
This thesis is concerning the problematic of derivatives which can be applicable for commodity risk hedging. The futures contracts and options are utilized for hedging commodity risk on oil market. For purposes of this work is designed a trading strategy, which consists of exponential moving average and expiration cycle of the options. The strategy is tested on historical oil prices. Because the strategy shows promising outputs it was employed on setting options strategy as well. The hedging options strategy collar is tested on historical prices of oil. Testing on historical prices discovered that it is profitable for processor to hedge the oil price by futures contracts. For producer it is more profitable to hedge the price by employing standard collar strategy. On the other side the bear collar strategy generated quite unconvincing outputs for processor. When the out-the-money bear collar war modified into in-the-money bear collar the outputs were satisfactorily profitable.
