Nemocnice – Bohunice public transport hub in Brno with settting – back track tramway terminus
Vaculíková, Barbora ; Veselý, Josef (referee) ; Pavlíček, Jan (advisor)
In my master thesis I deal with a design reconstruction of the current public transport terminus of Nemocnice - Bohunice. Terminus layout includes transfering the tramway line from Osová stop to the hub, the new tramway stop is a setting-back track. There is preserved the utilization of hub by existing city and regional lines of buses and troley buses and newly established regional bus lines (401,402,403,404) and also the entrance to the Bohunice hospital parking in the design. This design provides a safe flow of passengers and pedestrians and their safe road crossing.

Exploration and evaluation of historic timber roof of the building
Červený, Radek ; Cikrle,, Petr (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
My dissertation is based on the appraisal of wooden roof construction in baroque church Nanebevzetí Panny Marie in Vranově nad Dyjí. The main reason of this appraisal was preserving the church´s interior which was newly reconstructed with high historical value. The dissertation includes also the rehabilitation solution. The appraisal was based on the research witch used sense and instrumental methods. In the first part were found out all size of each construction´s parts and was established the type of rafters´ systém. Then the research solved some impaired wooden parts and their reasons. For suitable rehabilitation solution was defined the transition between well and impaired part. The best rehabilitation solution is the construction solution by the conditions using further procedures, e.g. preventive chemical protection.

Changes of enzyme activities in fruits during long-term storage
Ferdová, Jitka ; Melounová,, Jitka (referee) ; Márová, Ivana (advisor)
This study is focused on study of changes of enzyme and low-molecular weight antioxidants in different fruits during long-term storage. In theoretical part individual low-molecular weight antioxidants and enzymes are described. The main causes of fruit decay and some possibilities of fruit preservation and storage are summarized. As biological material some common fruits were chosen - green and red apples, peaches, plums and white grapes. The fruits were stored in laboratory, cellar, in refrigerator and in freezer. In freezing experiments some ways of fruit preparation and processing were tested and their influence on fruit antioxidant status was compared. Shortened storage experiment was applied on blueberries, cranberries, raspberries and strawberries too. In fruits some group parameters – total antioxidant status, dry mass content, ascorbate level, total flavonoids and total phenolics were analyzed spectrophotometrically. Individual flavonoids and phenolics were determined by RP-HPLC/UV-VIS and on-line LC/PDA/ESI-MS. Antioxidant enzyme activities (superoxide dismutase SOD, catalase CAT, polyphenol oxidase PPO and lipoxygenase LOX) were measured by spectrophotometry. The surface microscopy and cultivation of moulds from fruit surface were performed too. Influence of storage conditions on biological activities is dependent on fruit sort. Freezing is the most suitable procedure for long-term storage without significant changes of active substance content. Long-term storage in controlled temperature conditions and/or atmosphere is usable for fruits with longer storage period. In these fruits stabile levels of antioxidant enzymes are stored for relatively long time. Some of enzymes act synergistically. Enzyme activities differed according to storage phase; at the beginning mainly high SOD and LOX activities were observed. CAT and PPO are probably activated as defence systems in rippened and/or damaged fruits. Levels of total as well as individual low molecular weight antioxidants varied during storage in all sorts, generally, increased course with longer storage period can be observed.

Mathematical models in hydromechanics (and aerodynamics)
Ježková, Jitka ; Zatočilová, Jitka (referee) ; Nechvátal, Luděk (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is a summarizing text which deals with the state and the motion of ideal liquid and gas. The main goal is to derive Euler equations describing the flow of fluids. From these equations we can obtain Bernoulli equation that is directly used to solve problems of fluid flow. The next step is to derive the continuity equation expressing the fact that the mass is preserved in the system. In the case of ideal gas the state equation of ideal gas is added and therefore solutions of various types of tasks of hydrodynamics and aerodynamics can be achieved.

Mass lumping methods for the semi-loof shell element
Sháněl, Vít ; Kolman, Radek ; Plešek, Jiří
Mass matrix diagonalization in terms of a finite element method (FEM) is essential for an effective deployment of the explicit method as one of the direct integration methods of the motion equations of elastodynamics. A particular attention is focused on the mass matrix diagonalization of the semi-loof shell element. Its diagonalization requires a specially designed universal diagonalization scheme that is derived from the scaling HRZ method. Another analyzed aspect is the problem of preserving the moment of inertia for various types of finite elements. The proposed scheme is implemented in the finite element program and consequently tested on several problems

Restoration of historical building - Malá Františkánská Znojmo
Šašinka, Jaromír ; Hubáček,, Petr (referee) ; Myslín, Jiří (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis is based on a studio project created in the summer term of third year of bachelor studies. The main theme of this project is architecture restoration of a Gothic burgher town house. The building site is located in the conservation area of the town Znojmo, on the corner of streets Malá Františkánská and Klácelova, nearby the St. Nicholas church. The house underwent both baroque and classicist reconstruction. Early in the 21st. century, the house lost its roof and, in the course of several following years, the ceiling structures collapsed. What has been preserved by now is the gothic entrance portal and some fragments of the exterier gothic masonry. Although the house is located inside an ancient urban conservation area, I have decided for an unusual architecture solution. My main idea was to design simple modern structure in harmony with the gothic masonry. I decided not to place new structures on the top of the ruins of the gothic masonry but to place the new mass of the building behind the gothic walls. There is glass fasade on the first floor of the building which provides comunication between interier and exterier through the ruins of exterier gothic masonry. The simple structure of second floor is raised on collumns behind the glass facade. The shape of structure refers to buildings surround. Exterier material finish of the structure is concrete facade panel (same material on walls and roof). The important part of exterier are frames of windows in the second floor. And the structure of elevator. The building will be used as gallery of modern art with bar&cafe. There will be preserved renaissance vault in the basement.

Family house

The subject of this Bachelor‘s thesis is newly built house for 6 people in the village Slavoňov in district Náchod. House is a single storey, part basement building with residential attic. The building garage, office and residential terraces partially protrude from the main body of the house. The house is designed as a brick building from the ceramic blocks, ceiling structures are reinforced concrete. The roof is gabled main mass with eccentric ridge. Over the working place is designed shed roof. Above the garage flat ply roof. The land is longitudinal, long side oriented SW-NE direction. Slightly sloping, downward from the road. All structures comply with the applicable standards and recommendations ČSN.

The Reconstruction, and the Re-use of the St. Thomas Yard in Brno
Janovská, Andrea ; Hrabec,, Josef (referee) ; Vojtová, Lea (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
St. Thomas yard was founded within years 1358-1370 on the street Veveří in the Brno. Its recent location its the same like when it was fouded. Within years 1883-1885 a few new objects were built here in historicist style. New functional sollution is trying to react on the freetime activities demand of students from schools near here. Whole compound is solved as sport-cultural centre. In the current objects there will be clubrooms, in the main building there will be office space. Restaurant in the longer wing will be joined with a bowling in the newly built object. The main architectonic purpose was to keep the natural character of whole area. The most important thing in my proposition was to preserve the structural nature of the objects with the sensitive completion of the compound. That is why I used just simple shapes and all-glass facade, in which the current objects will be mirrored. The area behind these objects would be remade to playground with an intention to keep the natural character of the area with grown trees.

The Diploma thesis is focused on publicity and public relations in non-profit organization. The first part of the work synthesizes theoretic findings from the field of communication, marketing and public relations and is using them to generate an overview of instruments and procedures suitable for use in a non-profit organization. Based on this theoretic assumption is Analysis of current communication system used by the organization. The main aim of this thesis is to draft a brand-new communication strategy, including a new graphic design, a set of communication tools and a system of their applications. The subject of the research is the Club For Old Prague, a civic association with more than a century long tradition in the field of architectural heritage protection and preservation the genius loci of our towns. The new communication strategy should help the Club to improve coordination of the flow of information, and through to newly created, unified and unmistakable image gain more publicity and public support for Club's goals.

Development and production of a food optimized for exotic birds
SOVOVÁ, Marie
My bachelor's thesis is focused on the development and production of seed and grain feeding mixture for exotic birds which are kept in captivity as pets. Commercially produced mixtures and newly made ones are compared in this thesis. The analysis was conducted for two groups of exotic birds, for sixty individuals of the Estrildid Finches family, and forty individuals of parrots. The result of it is that four new sorts of feeding mixtures were made with economic savings. All the nutritional parameters remained preserved.
