Šavrňák, Ondřej ; Frainšic, Michal (advisor) ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (referee)
Title: Personality typology of participants in survival races using psychodiagnostic method GPOP (Golden Profiler of Personality) Goals: Our main goal was to determine personality typology of participants in survival, specifically in Adventure racing to compare the results obtained by AR athletes with Czech standards. Method: There were used method of GPOP (Golden Profiler of Personality) in diploma thesis. This method follows a well - known method MBTI (Meyer - Briggs Type Indicator). However, compared to MBTI method GPOP is standardized in Czech Republic. GPOP consist of four paired scales and compared to MBTI it has also the scale which focuses on the stress reaction. GPOP is based on survey of 116 questions and statements. Final results show which of two pair scales is preferred by participants. Every paired scale has its own five subscales. GPOP presents us 16 types of personality overall based on mentioned paired scales and subscales. We also created secondary non - standardized survey which regards athletes participation in Adventure races and survivals, so we would confirm their inclusion to research group. Results: In the population of athletes who participate in survivals (AR) there shows significant representation personality type ISTJ and ESTJ (47,6 % in comparison with other...

Author's first name and surname: Michaela Opálková Title of the master thesis: Evaluation of selective voluntary muscle control in children with spastic cerebral palsy. Impact on the severity of spasticity and gross motor function level. Department: Department of rehabilitation and sports medicine, Charles University in Prague, 2nd Faculty of Medicine Supervisor: doc. PaedDr. Pavel Kolář, PhD. The year of presentation: 2012 Abstract: This thesis should provide comprehensive information about pathophysiological mechanisms underlying spasticity and spastic movement disorder with special attention to children with cerebral palsy. Spasticity and selective voluntary motor control assessment possibilities will be summarized. Classification systems of the gross motor functions (levels of locomotion) are also mentioned. The main objective is to elaborate selective motor control ability scale (IP) which is newly proposed in this study. The need for such instrument and its feasibility for clinical practice intend to be confirmed. The level of locomotion of 25 children with spastic cerebral palsy is compared with IP outputs, spasticity measurement outputs using Ashworth scale respectively. Keywords: spasticity, selective voluntary motor control, locomotion, scale

Rudá, Eliška ; Vinopal, Jiří (advisor) ; Lupač, Petr (referee)
The Item response Theory and its Application in the Sociology Abstract The focus of this master's thesis is an item response theory, a modern methodological approach, which models a relationship between a latent variable and measured responses to the particular item. A theoretical introduction, which explains fundamentals of the theory, is followed by a comparison with the classical test theory and suggestions of its possible applications in a field of sociology. The thesis is completed with an illustrative example using real data to evaluate an instrument for measuring subjective quality of working life in the framework of item response theory. Keywords: Item response theory, scale, reliability, model, subjective quality of working life
BRNO UNDERGROUND - THE POTENTIAL FOR PUBLIC SPACES CITY
Kopáčiková, Zuzana ; Zdražilová, Jana (referee) ; Havliš, Karel (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is a transformation of the anti-nuclear shelter situated in the city center, which no longer fulfils its original function. The main goal of the project is to integrate the shelter to surrounding public spaces. The proposal uses the potential of the suitable location on the edge of the historical center of Brno by inclusion of public facilities with cultural functions that are able to use the uniqueness of the underground space. The aim of the study is to point out this unused building, initiate discussion. My quest is to bring new impulse to the city, to enhance the site with a new feature, make a pleasant urban space to residents of the city and also bring life to the place.

Zdražilová, Jana ; Pech, Zbyněk (referee) ; Kopáčik, Gabriel (advisor)
Solution idea Petrov is stoney bill in south-west part of Brno. You can find magnificent cellar on given land that is probably medieval and is partially carved in rock. Designed building follows up this rock developing to surface, where crystalizes and gradually grows and expands towards from „Šilingrovo náměstí“ to St. Petr and Pavel’s cathedral. Water is the other element – it wells from mouldering diabas rock to surface, thanks to cracked springs that can be found here. That creates a lake beneath Petrov. Water theme is projected to building interiors. This construction is characterised by great views, which are possible because of unique location of the site and the building itself is designed to use the most of them. From terrace, caffeteria and also multipurpose hall can anyone view cathedral, Zelný trh square and Parnas fountain. Function locations 1) Interest-activities more people more life. There used to be one of the oldest schools in Brno from half of 14th century. And because of that, although in modified form, I wanted to preserve this function of the place. I designed one classroom and a multipurpose hall, that can be used e.g. for dance lessons or - in a daytime, when there be no usage for the hall - for rentals for commercial purposes. 2) The entrance to medieval cellar carved into rock, that is under the site. There are two functional water wells, that constantly floods the cellar space. Water will be pumped out to terrace, where it will make a small lake. The whole space will function as a small gallery. 3) Caffeteria and sweetshop are located on very attractive place with spectacular views. Adjoining terrace will serve as summer garden that can be used by public all year round.

Monitoring of the pain of the patient after the operation from nurse´s view
ŠIMÁČKOVÁ, Alexandra
The bachelor paper aims at monitoring pain during the post surgery period and it is concentrated on the attitude of nurse to it. When a nurse is capable of finding out pain, its quality and intensity in the shortest time possible, he/she promotes the comfort of a patient, improves his/her psychical state and can thus help significantly to successful healing of the surgery wound and total improvement of the health condition of the patient. A nurse{\crq}s active attitude to pain monitoring is in her/his own interest. She/he should be able to offer alternative ways of calming pain and to opt for an individual attitude to every patient. The theoretic part describes the origin of pain, its kinds, the nursing attitude towards it and different modes of monitoring of pain.Within the practical part we have set up two goals: to find out whether nurses monitor pain by patients after surgery and whether they use in practice the evaluating scale of pain. On this basis we have set up three hypotheses. H1: nurses at post surgery units monitor pain in patients having been operated on; H2: Nurses have no knowledge on scales evaluating pain; H3: Pain in patients hospitalized at post surgery units is not evaluated according to the evaluating scale. A quantitative method of research was chosen in the form of questioning and data collection using anonymous questionnaires.
