Detection of attacks targeted at web applications
Jégrová, Eliška ; Gerlich, Tomáš (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis is dealing with vulnerabilities of web applications. The aim of the work is to create tools for attack detection of certain attacks, specifically Same Origin Method Execution (SOME), XML Signature Wrapping attack, XPATH Injection, HTTP Response Smuggling and Server-Side Includes (SSI) injection. Another aim is to create logs that display detected attacks. In the first part, the theory is analyzed and vulnerabilities of chosen attacks are described including their misuse. In the next section there are web application implemented which contain vulnerabilities for successful execution of the attacks. Furthermore, in Python language detection methods are designed and developed for these attacks, which are accompanied by a log entry.
Processing image metadata in XSLT/XQuery
Šubrt, Matěj ; Kosek, Jiří (advisor) ; Vojíř, Stanislav (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with how to obtain information from image formats, especially those that use Exif specification for storing metadata, which offers a lot of information about the image. The work focuses on creating a library that gets these meta-data from the image using XSLT, XQuery and XPath. A simple application/transformation is also part of the work, which can extract the metadata from the enclosed images and display them to the user.
Generating of Synthetic XML Data
Rychnovský, Dušan ; Holubová, Irena (advisor) ; Polák, Marek (referee)
The aim of the thesis was to develop an algorithm to generate synthetic XML documents to cover the resolution of an XPath query with test cases, with a special emphasis on the ease of configuration. We have also implemented a prototype, optimized its performance and demonstrated its properties by running it on sample data. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
XML Query Adaptation
Polák, Marek ; Holubová, Irena (advisor) ; Malý, Jakub (referee)
In the presented work we study XML schema evolution, its types and impact on queries which are related on the particular schema. The thesis contains a review of existing approaches of this problem. The approach presented in this work shows a possible solution how to adapt related queries while schema evolves. The thesis contains a description of an algorithm which modies queries related to the evolved schema. Finally the work contains a number of exper- iments that verify proposal of the algorithms and show their advantages and disadvantages. 1
Algorithms for Parallel Searching in XML Datasets
Kruliš, Martin
This thesis will address the problems of indexing XML datasets and finding effective searching methods for indexed data. Defining data structures and algorithms that take highly parallel approach to the searching problem is considered to be main objective, therefore the implementation may benefit from the power of multicore CPUs. Prototype of such implementation will be presented with the thesis. Internal query model will be developed as a common layer. Multiple front-ends representing different query languages will be able to operate on the top of this model, thus the engine will not be dependent on any particular language. Sample front-end for a subset of XPath will be implemented along with the prototype.
XML and OpenDocument Format standards and their use in practice
Pluhař, Marek ; Halbich, Čestmír (advisor) ; Pavlík, Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with XML and OpenDocument Format. The entire work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is divided into two separate sections. The first is devoted to the description of the XML format. The second is related to the OpenDocument Format. The work clearly explains the issues of studied topics. The practical part is also divided into two sections. The first one is devoted to the use of XML and the second to creation of ODF macro. In the XML area was done converting XML file into HTML output using XSLT. In the ODF area was created ODF macro, which exports file in program Calc into PDF format. The practical part verified knowledge gained in the theoretical part and allowed to fulfill the both practical aims.
Regular Expression Based Searching in Text Files
Šimek, Ota ; Samek, Jan (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This paper desribes the design, analysis and implementation of the program, whichis used to search for specific parts of text in text and xml files. To search, you must create a template using two text-matching technigues. These are the regular expressions and XPath expressions. This is desribed in the first chapter. Application allows to process large number of files or files with a high content.
Temporal XML Databases
Kunovský, Tomáš ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
The primary goal of this work is a implementation of temporal XML database in Java. There are described databases for XML documents and temporal databases with emphasis on their query languages and problem data storing is also analyzes for temporal databases. Source codes of the resulting application are public as open-source.
Web Application for Statistical Analysis of Web Pages
Hochmal, Petr ; Lukáš, Roman (referee) ; Techet, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is focused on web page changes monitoring. The main objective of the work was to create a web application that will monitor user defined content of a web page and save it with the posibility of statistical analysis of the saved values. The thesis describes web applications and technologies that were used in this application in general. It also deals with analysis, design and implementation of the web application.
Interactive Visualization of XML
Onderko, Michal ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Chmelař, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the interactive visualization of XML and issues of working with native XML databases. It describes XML technologies, including its modes of processing, information about native XML databases, XML data visualization methods, description of XML Spark xDB implementation and testing XPath query support of this program. The last section contains a summary of the work and suggestions of possible improvements.
