Peštuková, Veronika ; Dvořáková, Michaela (referee) ; Županič, Jan (advisor)
My master thesis is titled The Princes of Liechtenstein in South Moravia. It focuses on the history of this family in South Moravia's area over eight centuries. The Princes of Liechtenstein came to South Moravia in the 13th century and established the Moravian-Austrian blood line. Firstly, the Czech king, Přemysl Otakar II., donated the demesne Mikulov to them in 1249. During the 13th century they extended their possessions in South Moravia and obtained the demesnes Valtice and Lednice, which became the most important residences of this family. In the beginning of the 16th century Liechtenstein lineage divided their possessions into the three blood lines: the Moravian with Mikulov, the Austrian with Valtice and the Steireggian with Steyregg. Because the Austrian and Steireggian line died out, Valtice became the main residence. The dynasty's upswing was caused by Karel, the prince of Liechtenstein. He was the first person who achieved the title - Prince. He and his brother Maxmilián got married to heiresses of the family Černohorských z Boskovic. With these marriages they gained the demesnes Černá Hora, Bučovice, Pozořice a Nové Hrady. In my master thesis I have focused on the confiscated properties which the Liechtensteins got after the well-known battle at Bílá Hora in 1620. Since this time the family held...
