Pension schemes as a tool for covering financial needs in old age

This thesis deals with problematics of pension schemes. First part contains characteristics of pensions schemes and short overview about deveplopment of this product in Czech Republic. In following parts, problems of pension schemes are described and characteristics of its successor pension packages are listed. In the final part, there is described life insurance as a main competitor to pension schemes and those two products are thoroughly compared.
Analysis of products used to coverage needs in old age

In my work I put mind to products used to coverage needs in old age and which are suitable complements of state system of retirement income insurance in conditions of the Czech Republic. At the beginning of the work I characterize contemporary retirement system, I indicate the insufficiency of the state system and I show promising reformative steps. In the fundamental part of my work I define and analyse the supplementary retirement insurance and the products of life insurance suitable for funding old age. In conclusion of the work I summarize obtained knowledge and I try to recommend acceptable way to ensure against old age for people according to their income and age category.

Life insurance and reform of pension system

This diploma work is concerned with the analysis of life insurance. In addition to this it also touches upon retirement insurance in the Czech Republic as a possible tool of maintaining a financially secure standard of living in the old age in connection to the current reform of the pension system. What is paid attention to in the analysis is the pension system itself and also the demographic progress as the main cause of the insufficiency of the present-day pension system. Next, there follows an analysis of the proposals and the conclusive verison of the pension reform as well as of the way in which it will affect the life insurance market in our country. The final part of the work deals with the products of life and pension insurance and offers a comparison between these. The goal of this work is to clarify the the pension system itself and the pension reform, to point out the necessity of individual ex-ante savings and last but not least to bring in the possible products available on the market.
Analysis of chosen aspect of the bancassurance on the Czech republic market

The subject of this bachelor work is to find out whether insurance taken out through distribution network of the bank is cheaper than insurance realized by the insurance agent. This is demonstrated by comparing two insurance models. In the firs part ther are stated models of cooperation between banks and insurance companies, motives and problems of integration. Coming next is characteristic of life insurance on the market in the Czech Republic nad characteristic of investemn life insurance. In the next part the analysis is divided into a qualitative and quantitative part. In the qualitative part are studied certain parameters of products. In the quantitative part are analyzed model courses of insurance, fees in the tables of charges and expensiveness of products on the basis of the PER- and TANK- Index is reviewed. I have come to the conclusion that the market with the investment life insurance in the Czech Republic will develop at a fast pace in the future. On the basis of the evaluation of all the parameters the bank model of the insurance of the investment life insurance has come out for the customer more advantageous. Further development can be expected both in bank-insurance companies towards allfinances and insurance companies because they will be specialized in more sophisticated clients.
The position of unit linked and classical life insurance on Czech insurance market

This paper covers the topics of life insurance, with focus on classical and unit linked insurance. The first part characterizes the significance and importance of life insurance as whole, and the other part describes individual types of life insurance. These types of life insurance are risk life insurance, classical life insurance, unit linked life insurance and modern unit linked life insurance. There is also a whole part of additional covers to life insurance and the most important are characterized in a single chapter of this paper. Currently there is several tax allowances connected with life insurance and the paper is focusing on clarification of tax savings of employee, tax savings of employer and savings of employer on wage expenses. The final part of this paper is an analysis of current situation and evolvement of classical and unit linked life insurance on Czech insurance market and also covers the main factors, which are influencing this evolvement of the life insurance market.
Products of life insurance for resource in old age

This work describes problems in current pensionable system and describes ways nad means individual funding financial resources on old age through the use of life insurance and superannuation scheme with state benefit. I describe pensionable system in Czech Republic in first part. Base of my work is charakteristics types of life insurance and superannuation scheme with state benefit. I aim for their principles and substance. These products are tax-preffered, because they motivate inhabitants to their conclusion. In last chapter I analyse problems in current pensionable system and show suggestion of pensionable reform.

Investiční životní pojištění na českém pojistném trhu

V rámci bakalářské práce je popsáno investiční životní pojištění a jeho postavení na českém pojistném trhu. První část je zaměřena na konstrukci investičního životního pojištění, jsou zde popsány i jednotlivé investiční strategie a investiční fondy. Další část je zaměřena na komparaci s kapitálovým životním pojištěním a s otevřenými podílovými fondy. Navazující část se zabývá výhodností investičního životního pojištění a poplatky, které s ním souvisí. V poslední části je popsáno investiční životní pojištění poskytované dvěma pojišťovnami působícími na českém pojistném trhu.
Lean Six Sigma in Decreasing the Error Rate of Proposal Form Filling

This thesis is focused on the proposal form filling error rate in life insurance. The theoretical part of the thesis describes main aspects of the methodology Lean Six Sigma, which will be used to decrease high error rate. Lean Six Sigma is widely used in today's companies to improve business processes by increasing their sigma. The methodology is an integration of two separate approaches, both invented in the beginning of the 20th century. The aim of the integration is to bring together the best of both of them. The practical part of the thesis shows how the seemingly separed approaches Lean and Six Sigma can work together. Lean was used to improve the process for insurance company's sales force, and Six Sigma was then applied to decrease the error rate of the forms. Both of the improvements were successfully implemented in the company and led to a desired outcome.
