Cars formation and development

This bachelor paper deals with a formation and a development of an automobile. In the theoretical part there are the most important historical facts in the time period from the second half of 17th century until the middle of the 20th century. In the mentioned period there are well-arranged notifications of the most important trials of vehicle formation and the first car construction in industrially prosperous countries. There was done a research by an orientation questionnaire. This research investigates the student?s level of knowledge of an automobile history. Further more, the students interests about an automobile history are identified in the questionnaire part. The practical part contains also materials that are helpful for the education and can be followed by teachers as a lead in the lessons. The aim of the paper is according to school educational programme to add and extend the knowledge system and skills which is the base for the vocational training in the vocational major Car-mechanic and the higher major Cartronic.
Electronic Control Unit for Engines and its Diagnostics

This paper summarizes information to be used to gain background knowledge related to the control systems of the spark-ignition combustion engines of cars and their diagnostics. The essentials part of this paper includes the explanation of the principles of each part of the systems. Next part includes explanation of the serial and parallel diagnostics including examples of diagnostics measurements. Last part this paper is engaged in the measuring technology.
Automotive market segmentation in the chosen company

The main objective of my thesis was to carry out a automotive market segmentation.I have chosen the company ´Autocentrum Šmucler´, Ltd., as the object of my thesis. This firm deals with sale of new cars and also second-hand vehicles.I have devided my writing into a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part the meaning of the word ´marketing´, ´market´ and ´car market´ is explained, then everything concerning market segmentation in the concrete {--} its process, its procedure, its reason, its type, its effective criterions, market targeting and searching of a position in the market.In the practical part the automotive market segmentation is carry out. I have made a marketing research, in this case by the questionary survey. I have got all informations needed for each segment characteristics by the research.

The analysis of positions of Volkswagen brand in the market of new cars in Czech Republic.

The purpose of my thesis is use of various methods of multicriterial evaluation of alternatives in a reality, and particularly the estimation of positions of Volkswagen brand at the market of new cars in Czech Republic and which positions do they take in comparison with other carmakers. The following purpose was to help customers who are going to get to itself the car. The aim was to order cars in each of 10 classes on the basis of results of each method. For my analysis I use methods WSA, TOPSIS and ELECTRE III. For calculations I used MS Excel and program SANNA.
Comparison the situation of the automotive industry in the Czech republic and the Slovakia

This bachelor work compares the situation of the Czech and Slovak automotive industry. We find here informaions about the most important automobile manufacturers in the Czech republic and the Slovakia. The automotive industry in both countries is compared through the use of SWOT analysis. I give my attention to the automobile manufacturing. I compare the influence of the subsuppliers and the automobile manufacturers on the employment. I resume here the economic crise in the automotive industry in both countries.

Perspective on Taxation of Motor Vehicles in the EU and Impact of Crisis on Automotive Industry

This work is devoted to the issue of taxation of motor vehicles, which is nowadays particularly crucial problem mainly due to the increasing impact of transport on the environment. Transport belongs among the five main issuers of CO2 into the atmosphere. Transport contributes almost 16% to the total emissions and road transport contributes 7% to this part. Because of this reason, the European Commission created and proposed a new form of taxation on the use of motor vehicles. This proposal is based on CO2 emissions and vehicle weight. Every single car producer will be forced to reach its specific goals until the year 2012. Emissions should be reduced to the threshold of 120g/km. Another way to battle emission of pollutants into the air are EURO emission standards, which establish binding limits for certain types of pollutants for brand-new vehicles. Afterwards, there is paid the attention to the current situation in the Czech Republic. Road tax (supplemented with time and power charging) has the main role in motor vehicle taxation. Nevertheless, people are presently facing the world economic crisis. Therefore, car producers have to spend a great force in order to remain on the market and it is not an easy task. In conclusion, I deal with financial aid, which had to be given into the automotive industry to let it survive. Just in Europe, car industry employs over 12 million people and fills public budgets with 360 trillion euros on average. It means that it is absolutely necessary to support this kind of industry at present.
Launching of a new car model on the market

This master thesis is divided into three parts. First part deals with theoretical approaches in marketing strategy with special focus on activities connected to a launch of a new product. These theoretical approaches are compared to common practice in company Renault. Second part focuses on particular case of using marketing strategy -- launching of Renault Koleos model on the Czech market. In the final part of this work we evaluate results of this launch, we try to find weak points and propose corrections of company's marketing strategy.
