Analysis of the economic and political situation in Croatia in relation to the entry into the EU

This diploma thesis deals with Croatia, the newest member of the European Union. Within the theoretical foundations it focuses on the European integration, describes the development of the European Union and introduces the entry conditions for the candidate countries, it also characterizes the basic macroeconomic concepts, which are being used further in the work. The second part of this work presents the long journey of Croatia towards European membership, with a focus on problem areas of the accession negotiations. The main part of the work is an analysis of the economic and political situation, firstly in the period before and then after the country's accession to the EU. After that the changes which this event represents for Croatia and the European Union are evaluated. Finally, an evaluation of the country's preparedness for potential entry into the euro area is submitted along with the arguments for and against the adoption of the single currency.

Ekonomická analýza Jihomoravského kraje a zhodnocení podmínek pro podnikání

The aim of this study is analysis of conditions for business in the South Moravian Region. Thesis is focused on comparing indicators of economic development of the South Moravian Region from the view of selected indicators -- gross domestic product, unemployment and export. The analysis of specialization and concentration is made. The results of the analysis from the South Moravian Re-gion are compared with an average in the Czech Republic. The model for as-sessment of business conditions is proposed. On the basis of that model Vyskov region is classified as the best area supporting business within the framework of the South Moravian Region.

Diplomová práce s názvem Ocenění podniku technických služeb v první části seznamuje se základními poznatky, metodami a postupy při oceňování podniku. V druhé části aplikuje metody a postupy ocenění na konkrétním zvoleném podniku. Výsledná hodnota byla stanovena pomocí diskontního modelu cash flow pro vlastníky a věřitele. Základním předpokladem pro zjištění hodnoty bylo sestavení finančního plánu, který vycházel ze zpracované strategické a finanční analýzy.

Analysis of gross domestic product of the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the evolution of the total gross domestic product of the Czech Republic from 2004 to 2009. This is the planting of GDP in the broader macroeconomic context. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part aims to acquaint the reader closer to the macroeconomic analysis, gross domestic product with its definition, the basic concepts necessary to understand the whole issue and the practical part of the real factors influencing its evolution.

The main subject of bachelor's thesis called "Expenditure Approach to GDP of Czech republic" is analysis of gross domestic product in the Czech republic in years 2001-2010 using the expenditure approach. In the theorethical part is defition of gross domestic product, followed by description of the expenditure approach method and its components and other fundamental terms which are necessary to understand the topic including national accounts. The aim of the analytical part is to analyse GDP of Czech republic in years using the expenditure approach in years 2001-2010 and to examine pre-determined hypotheses.

The Baltic Economies in the EU - Trends, Perspectives

The work analyses macroeconomic development of the Baltic States from the beginning of the 1990s until today and their position in the European Union evaluated on the basis of nominal and real convergence indicators. A significant part of the text is dedicated to the current economic crisis and to its impacts on the Baltic region. In this context, possible solutions and perspectives for future progress are suggested.

Komparativní makroekonomická analýza zemí Visegrádské skupiny

Předmětem práce je srovnání makroekonomického vývoje zemí Visegrádské skupiny. Po stručném charakterizování vývoje analyzovaných zemí v posledních 15 letech se práce soustředí na determinování vývoje vybraných složek HDP, konkrétně spotřeby domácností, importu a exportu. Na konkrétních časových řadách pro léta 1995 ? 2005 je ověřován význam faktorů předpokládaných základní makroekonomickou teorií při determinaci vývoje těchto složek HDP. Na základě výsledků z ekonometrických modelů je konstatováno, že se v případě analyzovaných zemí makroekonomická teorie uplatňuje pouze omezeně. Neshody s teorií jsou podobné u všech analyzovaných zemí a souvisí především s jejich transformací.

Diplomová práce s názvem Ocenění podniku popisuje, jakým způsobem se oceňují společnosti a následně v praktické části jsou aplikovány metody a postupy ocenění popsané v teoretické části. Oceňovanou společností byl podnik BAEST, a.s. působící v lehkém strojírenském průmyslu. Výsledná tržní hodnota byla stanovena pomocí diskontního model cash flow pro vlastníky a věřitele na základě finančního plánu, který vycházel ze sestavené strategické a finanční analýzy.
