Dynamic web pages
Kotlín, Jiří ; Kastl, Jan (advisor) ; Veselá, Bohumila (referee)
Serving dynamic web pages raises higher load of web servers and associated technologies. This can to some extent eliminate setting up reverse proxy with cache in front of the web server. The primary goal of this thesis is to implement this technique via presently most popular web server -- Apache. These Apache's proxy features were at first well tested and described, later practically applied in real LAMP software bundle enviroment (Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL).
Comparison of selected frameworks for web applications development in PHP
Křižan, Ondřej ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Burkoň, Lukáš (referee)
This work presents a comparison of several selected frameworks for developing Web applications in PHP. It includes analysis of key features and approaches of modern development frameworks which is important for understanding their functions. Brief description of each framework (CodeIgniter, Zend, Prado, Yii) precedes a thorough comparison. The comparison is based on defined criteria and examination whether and how a particular framework meets that criterion. Included commentary of implementation details of chosen properties introduces readers to the technical details of the solution. Work touches on questions of choice of an appropriate framework and presents its own evaluation of each selected framework.
Essential tools for developing web applications
Ševčík, Petr ; Pinkas, Otakar (advisor) ; Chudán, David (referee)
This bachelor thesis is devoted to problems of creating web applications using XML files for data storing. The main mission of thesis is to demonstrate XML language usage in these applications and to introduce a reader with another important languages for development of these applications. This thesis is trying to offer a complex view of this problem. Because success of application largely relies on the fact how easily the applacation can be found by potential users of the web, the thesis describes how can be web sites indexed by search engines. There are two main parts of this bachelor thesis: teoretical and practical. The first chapter describes HTML language with accent on his features that can be used for cooperation with web applications. The second chapter is devoted to XML markup language. Third chapter is about Dublin Core metadata standard which can be used with web applications to ease searching of electronical sources. The fourth chapter describes indexing of web pages by search engines and the following fifth chapter describes advanced searching with search engine Google, that can be used for detection if search engine optimization was successfull and if web page is findable. The sixth chapter dedicated to practical part of this thesis. This part describes developed web application programmed in PHP language. This application works with XML file via DOM and SimpleXML interfaces. Interfaces are compared to each other. This chapter also offer some guides describing how to implement some usefull functions in web application.
Security of electronical shops built on PHP platform
Vostrý, Jan ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (advisor) ; Pavlíček, Luboš (referee)
This thesis is focused on security of electronical shops built on PHP platform. The goal of this thesis is to analyze electronical shops security and personal data protection from view of czech legislature, trustfulness of these shops from view of customers and also certification of these shops, analyze various possibilities of payments and assuring their security and analyze possible security risks, which are matched with technologies these e-shops are built on. Analysis of these appropriateness is based on theoretically knowledge extracted from scientific sources and from author's experiences. Benefit of this thesis consists in reference to possible inadequacies of e-shops in personal data security, on-line transfers and security risks derived from PHP technology, which they are based on. This thesis is comprehensive survey of things, which quality e-shops should have ensured and contains also summarized survey of security risks, which web developer should minimize during web creation. This thesis offers its own resolution of security risks and also chosen real e-shops evaluation. This thesis can be useful not only for web makers and e-shop programmers, but also for e-shop customers.
A web service related to a web syndication
Žižka, Petr ; Jelínek, Jiří (advisor) ; Přibil, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis is primarily focused on web services and their application. Secondarily, it is related to web syndication and an area of publishing/processing of information available on the internet, in general. It contains a description of web service principles in theory, an example of application and suggestions of potential future usage. This paper also covers a real-based case study which is based on the whole concept. All used source codes are available on the enclosed CD.
Access to databases in the PHP framework Zend and Nette
Moravec, Petr ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Burkoň, Lukáš (referee)
The main asset of the essay is a very detailed documentation of PHP frameworks and more detailed view on database layer. The essay pays attention to a database layer in Zend and Nette Frameworks. Both Frameworks are described separately. The essay also analyses Data Source Architectural Patterns of Martin Fowler. These patterns are explained in details and shown in practical examples in each separate Frameworks. They are mainly patterns of Table Data Gateway, Row Data Gateway , Active Record and Data Mapper. The last part of the essay is focused on an access to a Database in selected Frameworks, describes the main libraries and demostrates practical examples. Finally there are presented empirical tests which can help to analyse advantages and disadvantages of each Database layer.
Comparison of ORM frameworks for PHP
Procházka, Ivan ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Schrotter, Michal (referee)
This study deals with a comparison of object relational mapping frameworks for PHP program language. On theoretical review, it describes the possibilities of mapping and available design patterns for mapping are presented. Basic principles of object oriented programming and relational databases are surveyed. For a comparison of tools, a model case of a library is suggested and implemented in chosen tools. Based on specified criteria, a comparison of selected frameworks is given. The main goal is to evaluate features of chosen frameworks, demonstrate their usage on the model case of a library and summarize the possibilities of object relational mapping on PHP platform.
Access to data sources in Zend Framework.
Zikmund, Štěpán ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Hradecký, Radim (referee)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to give a description of architecture of access to data sources in Zend Framework and its creation based on design patterns described by Martin Fowler. The first part introduces the creation of fundamental components of architecture for access to data sources; there are four possibilities offered by Martin Fowler: Table Data Gateway, Row Data Gateway, Active Record and Data Mapper. The first part also describes the implementation in Zend Framework and selection of patterns Table Data Gateway and Row Data Gateway. The posibility of their cooperation with domain objects is also discussed. The second part is about extending the architecture's structure and behavior of its objects. Pattern Query Object and its likeness with class Zend_Db_Select follows. There is also presented Lazy load pattern and the posibility of its implemetation with Zend Framework and domain objects. Lastly, the implementation of Identity Map pattern is described.
