Self-study support multimedia materials for basic school mathematics
BRADÁČOVÁ, Hana
The main focus of my thesis piece of work is the creation of multimedia tools for pupils´ self-study Math. This tool is an interactive software, specifically it is a Web page that work without connecting to the internet. Especially it is useful for children's home preparation and practising of pupils' knowledge. It can be used during lessons at school too. The main topic of this thesis is solution of equations. A part of the thesis is practical verification of primary school pupils. Their results are compared with the results of pupils who haven´t practised Math on this practical CD.
Using computer on the primary school to teach the topic Natural numbers to 1 000.
SELUCKÁ, Eva
My dissertation is mainly focused on work sheets created in Smart notebook 10 which are intended for the third-grade pupils of primary school. At the beginning I am dealing with the didactic part of chosen curriculum in material which was made by me. Futhermore I am comparing available mathematic schoolbooks which are intended for the third grade. The main part contains methodical manual for users of the working sheets which were created in Smart Notebook 10. It is mainly focused on the operation, the usage and the right method of working out the particular tasks. In conclusion of my dissertation I am summarizing my conclusions of hours and I am evaluating my experience gained from teaching at the primary school during which I used the chosen working sheets.
Mathematical apparatus of thermodynamics
TESAŘOVÁ, Jaroslava
This Thesis deals with the use of the mathematical apparatus in thermodynamics, specifically the use of Calculus of functions of several variables. The main emphasis is placed on creating a mathematical derivation of the theoretical foundations of thermodynamics, for example Maxwell relations. The following thing explains the linear differential forms with the help of them the laws of thermodynamics are defined. In the Thesis there are examples with solution to illustrate mathematical procedures. To understand this Thesis the knowledge of Calculus is required.
Mathematization of Economis: Myth or Fact
Vachunová, Petra ; Šťastný, Daniel (advisor) ; Slaný, Martin (referee)
The work deals with the degree of mathematization in economics. Significant degree of mathematization is understood as such a degree, in which mathematic education helps the successful completion of economic subjects. Number of points acquired in the course 55F100 Mathematics for Economists I is used in attempt to determine the degree of mathematization in courses 5EN202-5EN252 Microeconomics and 5EN203-5EN253 Macroeconomics I taught at the University of Economics in Prague. The degree of mathematization failed to be confirmed by the chosen method. The work concludes that the mathematical skills necessary for completion of these courses are not acquired by students at 55F100 course.
Collection of Solved Problems of Differential and Integral Calculus for Students of Faculty of Economics, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice
KOZELKA, Vojtěch
The work includes the theory which is necessary for students to understand the examples, then solved examples to help students to understand the usefulness of the issue in practice. There are also unsolved examples with results that help them to revise and exercise more deeply the learned matter. The collection will be not available only when mathematics lessons, but also for independent student work, for further practising and better understanding of learned matter.
Using of Semantic Differential for Euducation Assessment at Basic School
ŠERÝ, Michal
One of the methods for collecting data in psychology is a method of semantic differential. The using of semantic differential is very large, this method is widely used in personality research, clinical psychology, market psychology and marketing. In recent years, this method has begun to apply to the area of educational research, above all educational psychology. A basic problem with wide using is the huge volume of data obtained by this method. Some of the options of setting up of a questionnaire with light to the selection of bipolar adjectives are listed in the thesis. The options represent the evaluation dimension, the dimension of activity and potency in terms of both representativeness and relevance. A set of tools for automatized generation of various combinations of questionnaire groups was created. A technical support of data collection, their evaluation and visualization using semantic differential method was also created. These methods will be used in realization of the project of introducing teaching of mathematic in English language at primary schools. The primary goal of this level of analysis is to judge to what extent can two terms (or more terms), generally regarded as semantically similar or different.
Mathematics on the internet
CHOCHOLATÁ, Monika
This bachelor thesis analyzes web sites which deal with mathematics and mathematics teaching. These include web sites of college and universities. The theoretic part of the thesis includes analysis of possibilities offered by internet for the use in mathematics education. In the practical part we evaluate websites by four functions. The theme is extended by SEO test and special interest webs dedicated to the popularization of mathematics.
Metric problems in the solid geometry
KREPSOVÁ, Lenka
This thesis deals with metric problems in the solid geometry and it is divided into two parts. The first part is focused on the theory of the angular deflection of lines and planes, perpendicularity of lines and planes and the distance of points, lines and planes. This part consists of a summary of theorems and definitions as well as basic examples for explanation. The second part contains a collection of worksheets for students. This collection includes some solutions to the examples from the worksheets in the mathematic software GeoGebra. The solutions are intended for teachers. The worksheets and their solutions were tested by students during the tuition in the last year of the grammar school. This thesis can be used in tuition, self-studying and testing.
Teaching of solid geometry with the use of Elica - DALEST software
KRČMÁŘ, Roman
This thesis is focused on Dalest Elica software and its use in the stereometry education at primary school. It contains some exercises that are solved with the help of this dynamic 3D software for stereometry education at the primary school. The thesis should offer an effective look at this software issue to the educators and it should also explain why to use the Dalest Elica software in the lessons. It also contains a CD with the video manuals that describe how to use the software.
Teaching Geometry with support from the Elica Dalest with respect to non-verbal components
KAŇKA, Martin
This diploma thesis deals with Elica DALEST applications, which are a part of the DALEST project (Developing Active Learning Environment for Stereometry). The goal of the project is to create a suitable tool for teaching stereometry. This thesis deals with 7 out of 13 applications which are part of the DALEST project. The goal of my thesis is to create materials which can be used for presentation of features of Dalest applications to mathematics teachers. Instructional videos are part of the thesis and can be found on the enclosed CD. One of the goals of my thesis is to present created materials to elementary schools teachers in practice.
