The burial structures of the chosen tribes of the North Africa within a period from 4th century B.C. to 5th century A.D.

This diploma thesis examines the burial architecture of selected Berber tribes of Northern Africa, namely the Garamantian and Numidian ones, within a period from 4th century B. C. to 5th century A. D. First, the Garamantian tribe and its history is introduced. Afterwards I focus on garamantian burial customes and architecture. Further I describe each types of tombs and individual monuments , thein proportions and decoration. The other important part is devoted to the Numidian tribe. Again, its history, types of burial structures and individual important monuments are described in detail. In this diploma thesis there is also a mention about tribes and monuments which influenced funeral structures and architecture of tribes in North Africa and also about buildings which were the models for these tombs. The Arab revolutions which emerged at the turn of 2010/2011 are considered the most important democratic movement in Arab countries. The uprisings in Egypt and Libya ended the reign of Hosni Mubarak and Colonel Muammar al-Qaddafi, who ruled the countries for decades. The United States which aim to protect their economic and security interests in the Middle East and North Africa, found themselves in complicated foreign policy situation. In the past the U.S. attempted to stabilize relations with Egypt and Libya and this process resulted in the mutual cooperation on safety issues, on economic level as well as counter- terrorism and other areas. The administration of President Barack Obama had to respond to situation in Egypt and Libya and decide whether to support U.S. former allies and their regimes, which guaranteed stability, or stand on the side of protesters who demanded political rights and democratic reforms, which include free elections and overthrowing of the current authoritarian rulers. The first chapter describes the most important events and factors of U.S.- Egyptian and U.S.-Libyan relations until 2011. The thesis deals with the analysis of the oil industry in Sudan and South Sudan in the 21st century. The first part follows up the role of oil in the African continent; the history of oil production, the rest is devoted to a more detailed analysis of the oil sector in Sudan or South Sudan after 2011. Then the characteristics of future scenarios are realized. The scenarios are affected by the civil war in the South Sudan and border disputes between the North and the South.
Impact of the revolutions in the Arab countries on the immigration and asylum policy of the European Union.

The content of the thesis is an analysis of the impact of the revolutions in the countries of North Africa during the year 2011 on the immigration and asylum policy of the European Union. The aim of the paper is to evaluate the response of the European Union and its member states to the migration situation. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first one describes the situation and migration during revolutions in the North Africa, the second chapter deals with the migration into the European Union. The third chapter analyzes the reaction of chosen member states and the institutions of the European Union. The last chapter finally evaluates the situation and identifies the opportunities and threats for the immigration and asylum policy of the European Union that emerged from the previous analysis.
Potential of North Africa as offshoring destination

The diploma thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part deals with the relocation of business activities and processes and its impact on logistics and supply chain. The second part is dedicated to the determinants of the choice of suitable locations for offshoring and a multi-criteria analysis from the theoretical point of view. In the last part the North African region is characterized and multi-criteria analysis of the countries of the region based on selected criteria is carried out. In this analysis there are for comparison also included selected competing countries.
