Increasing the range of a vehicle with alternative propulsion
Dryml, Tomáš ; Ranuša, Matúš (referee) ; Navrátil, Václav (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with increasing the range of a vehicle with an alternative drive, which is compressed air. First, an analysis of the pneumatic circuit is performed, from which the areas to be modified result. To improve, it is chosen to find a suitable working pressure and the correct filling, which is calculated on the basis of constant pressure filling and subsequent adiabatic gas expansion. From the theoretical calculation, the runs per cylinder stroke at different pressures are determined and the selected pressures are subsequently experimentally verified. The results show that the most suitable setting increased the range from 331 meters using the original setting, to 616 meters with the new setting.
Design of single-purpose assembly machine for assembly of gas distributor in gas grill
Procházka, Petr ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
Objective of this thesis is creating the construction of one-purpose assembly machine for combination of gas switchboard in gas grill assembly, which is top part of the gas cooking grill, consisting of stainless steel plate and burners. There are three types of burners, one small type, two medium types and one big type. Each consists of aluminium body, nozzle, ignition electrode and gas leakage protection fuse. Prior to construction itself,  variant solutions of the assembly operations arrangement are designated. From those, the most appropriate one is chosen based on multicriteria weighting method. Construction of assembly line is created using 3D modelling program with necessary design calculations. For selected assemblies and parts, a drawing documentation has been created. Risk analysis and security of the machine’s normal operation is an integral part of the thesis. Risk analysis is created for the machine’s normal operation. In conclusion, the costs of purchasing the assembly line are calculated and the return of the investment for purchasing the machine is assessed.
Design of pneumatic cylinder testing equipment
Macek, Tomáš ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Tůma, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of test equipment for selected types of pneumatic cylinders. In the first, theoretical, part of the work is an analysis of the current state of knowledge in the field of pneumatic cylinders. Furthermore, the problems in the field of measurement and testing of pneumatic components are described here, selected linear position sensors are also described herein too. The second, practical, part deals with the choice of a suitable design variant and the actual solution of the test equipment design. A pneumatic circuit is also designed here. Part of the work is a 3D model of the test equipment and drawing documentation. The conclusion of the work is devoted to the overall evaluation of the work and recommendations for practice.
Diagnosis of Pneumatic Cylinders Using Acoustic Emission Methods
Mahmoud, Houssam ; Baran,, Ireneusz (referee) ; Santos, Serge Dos (referee) ; Mazal, Pavel (advisor)
Signály z vysouvání a zasouvání pístu byly zaznamenány a analyzovány pomocí řady parametrů. Poškozené a nepoškozené válce byly rozlišeny pomocí rozdílů energetických hodnot přítomných v signálech z obou snímačů v závislosti na zdvihu pístu. Konečné vyhodnocení válce bylo určeno výpočtem celkové hodnoty RMS. Ve třetím kroku experimentu byly válce postupně zatěžovány různými závažími ve svislém směru. Signály akustické emise byly zaznamenány z vysouvání a zasouvání pístu a poté analyzovány. Časové zpoždění se vypočítává z digitálního vstupu a začátku pohybu pístu. Energie signálu a RMS akustické emise porovnávají různé reakce v poškozených a nepoškozených pneumatických válcích s a bez zatížení. Výsledky testu ukázaly lineární vztah mezi křivkou RMS a zatížením. Defekty ovlivňují vztah mezi aplikovaným zatížením a zaznamenaným signálem snímačů.

Master thesis deals with design of "student" pneumatic car equipped by pneumatic elements of a chosen firm. The introductory part is devoted to mapping the Hungarian competition. The idea of designing such vehicles comes from this competition. Next step is analysis of vehicles that are present in this competition. The main part describes the development of vehicle from the initial design, through analysis of main components, through to the production and presentation. The work contains a strain-stress analysis of the frame which is made by using the finite element method. The work ends with the conclusion which assesses the results.

This thesis covers the theoretical solution of the compressed air powered vehicle. The first section describes the competition of the compressed air powered vehicles, that is annually held in Hungary, where the idea for such a car design was created. There are also additional descriptions of the construction of the machines from the hungarian competition. In the second section there is a calculation of the chosen vehicle construction, where the main emphases is based on the calculation of the drive of the vehicle. The description of the manufacturing, tests and vehicle presentation follows.
