This bachelor thesis analyzes web sites which deal with mathematics and mathematics teaching. These include web sites of college and universities. The theoretic part of the thesis includes analysis of possibilities offered by internet for the use in mathematics education. In the practical part we evaluate websites by four functions. The theme is extended by SEO test and special interest webs dedicated to the popularization of mathematics.

Teaching Mathematics through CLIL

This bachelor thesis describes a language teaching method called CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning). In the theoretical part the thesis summarizes basic principles of this method, its possible forms, factors affecting its implementation in schools, its advantages and possible difficulties. Then the thesis focuses on teaching mathematics through CLIL. The practical part contains learning materials for sixth grade pupils on the topic of Projection of Solids in Parallel Projection and a reflection of experience from ZŠ Matice školské in České Budějovice, that participated in a CLIL project focused on teaching mathematics.

The main content of the thesis is the analysis of elective mathematics lessons including examples of the tasks. This work could be useful mainly to teachers of primary elective mathematics. It is divided into two parts. The first one deals with the main theory. The second part is based on the analysis of particular lessons and tasks. The work also contains a set of tasks suitable for primary pupils.

The paper examines what is the message of Plato's dialogue Theaitetus. It interprets the Socrates' midwifery as an allegory of Platonic dialectic; explains the hermeneutic character of the dialogue; depicts the structure of the genesis of knowledge; argues that the refutation of Protagoras' thesis "homo – mensura" turns out to be its endorsement; and shows that knowledge proper is possible only in mathematics.
