Power harvesting sensors
Arnošt, Karel ; Klusáček, Stanislav (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with power harvesting sensors as a source of energy. As the power requirements for microelectronics decreases the environmental energy sources become more perspective. In a few last years batteries reach a higher capacity but there is still problem with their replacement. Power harvesting sensors appears as a good solution for powering microelectronics.
Optimalisation of thermal properties of solar cell modules
Dohnalová, Lenka ; Matiašovský, Peter (referee) ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (advisor)
The topic of presented diploma thesis is study of thermal properties structures of photovoltaic cells. The main goal of this thesis is study of ways of heat spreading from volume and planar materials (conduction, convection and radiation). Then it is needed to determine contributions of heat spread from laminated photovoltaic cell and compare them to results measured by transient pulse method, step wise method and with thermo-camera using. At the beginning of this thesis it will be needed to define heat and ways it’s spread. Heat is closely connected with temperature. That is reason why will be there spoken about temperature and methods of its measuring. Than there will be defined basic thermo-physical parameters of materials. Thermo-physical parameters of materials will be measured by transient methods that will be characterized later and by thermo-camera. This thesis deals with photovoltaic cells, so there will be described their structure, properties, utilization and way of their production. Subsequently after the definition of all needed terms the experimental part of this thesis will be introduced. It will be needed to characterize measured volume material and define its thermo-physical parameters. Using the pulse transient method, step wise method and thermo-camera there will be measured the thermal response of PMMA sample, nonlaminated photovoltaic cell and also samples of laminated photovoltaic cells. Findings of all described methods will be finally compared.
Different kinds of alternative aircraft propulsions
Florián, Martin ; Kaddour, Mirvat (referee) ; Bencalík, Karol (advisor)
The content of the bachelor thesis is overview of alternative energy sources suitable for aircraft applications. Characteristics of photovoltaic cells, fuel cells and batteries were introduced, including principles of their operation and use in aircraft. The comparison of each kind of aircraft‘s propulsion is part of work as well as final overview of all mentioned airplanes.
Renewable energy sources in the region of the North Moravia
Mazák, Tomáš ; Hrnčířová, Michaela (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The content of this work is to search an overview of basic types of renewable resources in the region of the north Moravia, respectively in the Olomouc region. In this work, are clearly described the main sources that are used in our country, especially the potential of photovoltaic systems, wind energy, water energy and biomass. For each type of renewable source is depicted a principle and the possibility to use just in the region of the north Moravia. In addition, specific applications are described in the Olomouc region, using these energy potentials.
Study of influence degradation to fotovoltaic cells properties
Tulková, Tereza ; Sládek, Petr (referee) ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (advisor)
The thesis examines degradation of photovoltaic cells and modules. Degradation assessment was based on the data gathered from the photovoltaic system installed at the Pedagogical Faculty of Masaryk University in Brno, Poříčí 31. The research focuses on influence of external factors on the amount of power supplied to the grid by the system. Theoretical part of the thesis summarizes state-of-the-art knowledge about photovoltaic conversion and devices taking the advantage of the principle. The first part of the thesis describes production and application of photovoltaic cells and their impact on the environment. Second part of the thesis deals with the principle of photovoltaic conversion. Next part lists materials used for the production of photovoltaic cells and the process of encapsulation. The fourth part summarizes knowledge about degradation of photovoltaic panels. Experimental part of the thesis statistically analysis the data gathered from the above mentioned power plant. Influence of degradation factors (surface temperature of PV panel, air temperature, wind velocity and radiation intensity) on effectiveness of energy conversion was examined in particular. The published results can be applied on analysis of new projects and/or used for modification of production technological processes.
Photovoltaic power systems for stand-alone applications
Hrňa, Lukáš ; Fišer, Jan (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
Topic of Bachelor’s thesis is descriptions photovoltaic power systems and their parts. It describes photovoltaic power system for stand-alone applications. In Bachelor’s thesis make photovoltaic power system for cottage. It characterizes basic components for build-up, basic aspect for determination right component and talk about immunity photovoltaic power system in long time.
Renewable energy sources in CR
Kozumplík, Ondřej ; Škvařil, Jan (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The content of bachelor study is the technical recherche of the renewable resources of energy in the Czech republic. It appears here the principal, use, potential and advantages and disadvantages of each type of renewable resources - water, wind and biomass. Then the use of solar energy for photovoltaic conversion to electrical energy is described in detail. At the end of this study is described one of the many recently build photovoltaic power stations in the South Moravia territory, the solar power station in Bzenec.
Fotovoltaic systems for residential houses
Chadim, Jakub ; Jaroš, Michal (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis describes dilemma usage of solar energy by photovoltaic. It explains fundamental terms pair with conversion solar radiation on electric current. Further it presents review today exploited photovoltaic‘s systems and focuses on using this technology in residential houses along with modelling proposal photovoltaic’s system in technical, legislative and economics site project.
Domestic electricity production from renewable sources
Halamíček, Milan ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The present bachelor thesis describes utilization of renewable resources, which can be used for production of electric energy. It presents three ways, one of them is wind power plant, the second is photovoltaic system and the last one is water power plant. There are suggested two ways of electric energy supply to family houses including economic evaluation.
Energy use of phytomass in the South Bohemia Region
NEJEDLÁ, Alice
This bachelor thesis focuses on energetic use of phytomass in the Southern Bohemia. There was identified real and potential production of biomass in the Czech Republic and in the Southern Bohemia. According to the information acquired from literature, internet and questionnairy research there was identified volume of use of energetic sources and biomass deliberately cultivated in Southern Bohemia for energetic use. The results of this research show that Czech Republic meets the commitment to cover 6% of energetic consumption by renewable energy source ? it even reached 8%. Southern Bohemia produces 4,5% of all renewable energy sources of the Czech republic. The research shows that there is a lack of biomass in the Czech Republic, that is why it must be produced by growing energy crops (PEP) and fast growing woods (RRD). Energy crops produces in the Czech Republic are: Sorrel Feed, Miscanthus Chinese, Knotweed, Reed Canary Grass, Hemp, Sorghum. As fast growing woods there are willows and poplars recommended. The most of the renewable energy sources in Southern Bohemia is represented by biomass and its combustion. Its potential is huge, mostly the waste of wood processing ? sawdust and wooden chips, is the most used fuel. Energetic use of biomass has a good perspective in Southern Bohemia. There is still unused waste from logging and straw in agricultural production. There is still hidden potential in growing energy crops and fast growing woods. The development is defended especially by economic reasons and state financial support.
