Russia and the EU - Political Relations
Ivanov, Vladimir ; Kratochvíl, Petr (advisor) ; Cibulková, Petra (referee)
The thesis aspires to convey a comprehensive and methodologically well-grounded image of the ideological dimension of political interaction between the EU and Russia. The research is based on the linguistic analysis of four key foreign policy documents, conceived as a continuous dialogue between the EU and Russia, and covering the period between 1994 and 2007. A model comprising several methods used in the study of international relations is applied to the aforementioned documents. The methods in question focus on discourse analysis. The methodological basis of the thesis incorporates the theoretical concepts of social constructivism, speech acts theory and dialogic analysis. Emphasis is placed on understanding the expectations and objectives of actors, the analysis of explicit and implicit messages in the dialogue, the definition of the actors' understanding of self, other and the third party. The thesis also tries to describe and explain the actors' changes in behavior towards each other.

Menšík, Jan ; Čermák, Jiří (advisor) ; Holcová, Irena (referee)
86 English resumé Aim of this thesis is to help set rules for determining the limits of utilization the content as a legitimate license free of charge on the Internet in the Czech Republic. At least to partial contribute to addressing the topic, which for us has been paid little attention. I chose the topic because I am personally and professionally interested in it and it. There are still many unresolved issues and daily practice is not even close to the actual legal status, often outdated. Nowadays, they are immediately available on the Internet millions of copyrighted works collated in databases or separately when extending syndicated content through web services or RSS feeds, and take the work and use it for your needs is easier than ever, there is still poor awareness the legal conditions for use of copyright works to the layman and the professional community. The thesis will focus precisely on the issue of accepting copyright works on the Internet, mainly through web sites. Boundaries when there is still a legal form of unpaid quotations and when it is illegal utilization of the database is not entirely clear and deserves attention. There is a need to examine not only access to a user's intention, but also ways of conveyance works by owner (author). The theoretical part will focus on a summary of...

Foster care under public law and private law
Kalocsányiová, Katarína ; Radvanová, Senta (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jan (referee)
FOSTER CARE UNDER PUBLIC LAW AND PRIVATE LAW The present thesis is dedicated to different aspects of foster care: its historical development; sources of law; conditions of its origination and dissolution; foster care mediation; rights and obligations of foster parents, children and biological parents; forms of foster care; and the system of financial supports. Normally, the child's interest is to remain with his family of origin. But if it is impossible for any subjective or objective reason, a substitute family care must be provided. According to the given criteria and limitations the child can be adopted; entrusted to a person other than his/her parents; entrusted to a guardian (although guardianship can be considered as a form of substitute family care only if the guardian takes care of the minor personally); or placed in a foster family. Institutional care should be the last option. For a long time, Czech republic have been criticized for having too many children in institutional care, even though it must be stressed that sometimes it is the only remaining solution (e.g. in the case of seriously handicapped person). But the main priority of the state should be to ensure a substitute family care always when possible. As stated earlier, one of the forms of alternative child care is the foster...

The awareness of a patient and a co-decision during hospitalization at an internal department
REICHERTOVÁ, Stanislava
This diploma thesis dealt with the issue of awareness of a patient and his or her opportunity to co-decide during hospitalization at an internal department. There were set three targets. The first one was to find out the level of the awareness of the patient during hospitalization about a care plan. From the result of a research is evident that patients feel lack of clear information about the care plan. The second target was to find out whether the patient has a chance to co-decide about a provided care during hospitalization. Comparing results from particular investigations there was a contrary between opinions of patients and medics. Patients think that the opportunity to co-decide is given to them. However, medics think that the opportunity of the patient to co-decide is limited. The third target was to find out, which questions in connection with a process of hospitalization patients ask nurses. Results of the investigation show that the most frequent questions are about the length of hospitalization. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts-theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part describes issues of the process of hospitalization of the patient since his/her income until his/her discharge from hospital. The investigative part was implemented by combination of a quantitative and a qualitative research. For the quantitative part of the investigation there was chosen the method questionnaire with a technique of half-structured interview offering open questions. Into the research file was involved 15 patients hospitalized at the internal department involved. There were set three investigatory questions. 1. What obstacles do exist in order to provide clear information during hospitalization of the patient? The research found out that the most frequent obstacle of intelligibility is a large amount of given information and frequent usage of terminology. 2. What obstacles do exist in order to make the patient an active participant when giving information? The investigation surprisingly resulted that that is not a misunderstanding or lack of empathy from the medic?s position or lack of interest from patient?s position. The main problem to make the patient the active participant during giving information is lack of medic?s time on patients. 3. Does the level of awareness of the patient saturate his or her need of certainty and security? The investigation showed that by the level of awareness is saturated the need of certainty and security. To gain data for the chosen issue of the quantitative research we used the method of questioning by a questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of 17 questions, 14 closed questions, 2 half-opened questions and 1 open question which offered to show a personal opinion. Respondents that were asked were students of paramedic assistant, nursing and paramedic resque worker, furthermore working nurses from both ambulant and bed sector, nurses from management and teacher of praxis. For the quantitative research we had two hypotheses: 1. Frequency of asking questions about the length of hospitalization equals to asking about the health condition. From the research was found out, that frequency of asking about the length of hospitalization is much higher than questions about the health condition. The first hypothesis was not verified. 2. During giving information nurses take for granted to include needs of the patient. The investigation showed that nurses during the hospitalization take for granted to include also patient?s opinions expressing his or her needs. The second hypothesis was verified. Results of our investigation gained in this diploma thesis will be used as sources for a distribution of informative materials for patients. We also think that it would be useful to inform nurses working at internal departments about the results. The results could also be interesting for students of high schools or universities preparing themselves for jobs of medical workers.

The issue of compensation of a heart valve from the perspective of the patient
MUNDLOVÁ, Anna
A heart valve replacement is one of the most technically difficult cardiac surgeries. For the patient, it means a mental and physical health intervention. Heart valve surgery is currently the second most common cardiac surgery - accounting for up to 20% of the total number of cardiac surgeries. The goals and objectives of a heart valve replacement are to improve patients' quality of life and their medical prognosis. The heart valve replacement is carried out only in cases when we cannot perform the heart valve plastic surgery and thereby replace the entire heart valve with an artificial one. Heart valve prosthetics can be mechanical - patients with this kind of prosthetics are then warfarinized for life or they can also be made of biological material (bioprosthetics). Patients with bioprostehtics require only a three month long anticoagulant therapy. Temporary postoperative complications may occur such as dyspnoea, gastric and intestinal atony or aggravation of pulmonary functions. Among the rarer complications are rhythm disorders, thrombosis of prosthetic heart valve, and last but not least infective endocarditis. The patients, after the heart valve replacement, are at a greater risk of complications, therefore they are obliged to always have their patient at risk of infection endocarditis card with them (see appendix 4). After the operation the patients are informed about the lifestyle changes they are to follow within their daily routine, the information is delivered by doctors and nurses. The task of the nurses is to inform the patient about the lifestyle changes together with doctors. Good understanding and observance of these lifestyle changes help to improve patients' life after the heart valve replacement. This bachelor thesis is divided into an empirical and theoretical part. The theoretical part focussing on the problems connected with the heart valve replacement, valvular imperfections, perioperative nursing, patients' lifestyle changes and their quality of life.

Professional development and further education of teachers
Votavová, Pavla Marie ; Šerák, Michal (referee) ; Mužík, Jaroslav (advisor)
The further education of teachers' is a very complex area. Its development started in previous centuries. The importance of this area is not decreasing. On the contrary, it is still rising. In spite of the clear importance of the further education, the fact is that it is one of the least solved areas. Questions connected with these problems touch many branches. One of such questions is who and how should teach teachers and what kinds of methods and forms are the most proper. Very important is also the solution of legal support, either the fact that the further education is not legally established or the certification of training programmes. Teachers used to be respected by the whole society. Without re-establishing of this original view the situation can not change. One of the possible ways is that of introducing the system of attestations. But primarily it is a question of suitable financial and legislative support form the government. Support of the whole society is of the same importance. It is for its welfare that teachers work

The Importance of drawing funds from PRV Axis IV for development of the chosen region
STASKOVÁ, Jana
As a topic, for my Bachelor thesis was chosen The Importance of drawing funds from PRV Axis IV for development of the chosen region. This thesis is devoted to Rural development program of Czech Republic - focused on the Axis IV. Leader - in the South Bohemia region and specific Local action group. The theoretic part is about the regional policy in genereal, about the goals of EU regional policy, structural funds and Rural Development Program. The main objective of my thesis was to analyze specific conditions for use of Rural Development Program. The selected region was the area around Hluboká - Lišov. These conditions were evaluated on the basis of already approved and financed funds. To achieve this goal, I used the methods of questionnaire and statistical analysis. The evaluated questionnaires showed that there is an interest of the community for the grant funds from Rural Development Program Axis IV Leader. However, it should be noted that in the current programming period for the years 2007 - 2013 there is still a large number of municipalities, that do not have enough information needed for the program, mostly, the municipalities are not the members of LAG or don?t use other grant sources. Another reason, why the municipalities don?t apply for grant funds, is the economical reason. In the conclusion there are some recommendations for solution of issues like how to provide the grant as a deposit, problematics of the next programming period 2014-2020 and so on. In the last part, the attachments connected with this issue can be found.

Antimonopolní politika USA vs. EU ve věci kartelových dohod
Figala, Filip ; Chytilová, Helena (advisor) ; Hatlman, Petr (referee)
