Correlation between Wingate anaerobic test (WAT30) and on-ice field MM636 test
Wolf, Tomáš ; Dovalil, Josef (referee) ; Heller, Jan (advisor)
3 Abstract: The purpose of this study was to compare classic Wingate anaerobic test with on-ice specific field test MM636 and also evaluate reliability and validity of MM636. The MM636 uses an on-ice continuous skating protocol to induce a physical stress on a participant`s anaerobic energy system. Subject is instructed to skate at maximal speed back and forth 6 times 36m distance (blue base lines) with full equipment and stick. 22 elite junior ice hockey player age between 16-20 years perform both tests with one week rest pause between them. The maximal anaerobic power (Pmax) significantly (p<0,025) correlated (r = -0,45), while for anaerobic capacity (AnC) we found only non- significantly (p>0,1) correlation (r = 0,28) with Wingate anaerobic test. The blood lactate levels were very similar after MM636 and WAT30. The measured difference was only 0,5 mmol/l. The Reliability of MM636 during a retest were significant (p<0,001) for both AnC (r = 0,97) and Pmax ( r = 0,73). The MM636 appeared to be valid and reliable test, but only a poor correlation was observed between WAT30 and MM636 in this group of hockey players. Title: Correlation between Wingate anaerobic test (WAT30) and on-ice field MM636 test. Objective: Estimating validity and reliability of MM636 and measuring correlation between WAT30 and MM636....

5 ABSTRACT The research on garden colonies in Czechia follows an ongoing focus of the Department of Social Geography and Regional Development (Faculty of Science, Charles University) on specific forms of recreation in Czechia, specifically on projects concerning individual short-term recreation and secondary housing. The goal of this diploma thesis is to provide a comprehensive image of gardening in selected model regions of the Czech Republic, offer possible outlook, compare and evaluate current state and changes in functional use of garden colonies and analyze causes of their transformation. To accomplish this goal, we analyzed results of questionnaires and terrain investigations conducted in the individual model regions. One of the most important items of the study was the analysis of changes in functional use of the gardening colonies. We also evaluated selected characteristics of the gardening colonies and compared results from individual model regions. The conclusion of this analysis and evaluation is that in addition to the continuing production function of gardens and their substantial social-economic function, gardens also serve as a place for both psychic and stamina regeneration and a place of recreation. The gardens are also being transformed to objects of secondary housing or permanent...

Dissertation abstract The present thesis is devoted to the study of recreational mathematics, with a particular emphasis on its history, its relation to serious mathematics and its educational benefits. The thesis consists of five papers. In the first one we investigate the history of recreational mathematics. We focus on the development of mathematical problems throughout history, and we try to point out the people who had an important influence on the progress of recreational mathematics. The second article is dedicated to Edwin Abbott Abbott and his book called Flatland. It is one of the first popularizing books on geometry. In the third article we review one of the prominent personalities of recreational mathematics, Martin Gardner. The fourth article is in some sense a sequel to the third one. It deals with treachery of mathematical intuition and mathematical April Fool's hoaxes. The last article is devoted to the implementation recreational mathematics to education of students. 1

European Union as an "Area of Justice" (Civil Matters)
Břicháček, Tomáš ; Šlosarčík, Ivo (advisor) ; Weiss, Tomáš (referee)
RÉSUMÉ (ABSTRACT) 1. Judicial cooperation in civil matters is an important area of the European integration that reflects the necessity to provide cross-border private law relations within the EU with legal certainty and judicial protection. This cooperation solves in an efficient way problems that would otherwise result from the differences between the private law systems of the individual Member States and from the independence and territorial limitation of their judicial systems. Its solution consists in the unification and harmonization in the field of the international private law. This method enables to these difficulties to be solved without the necessity o f a deeper interference with the private law systems of the Member States. Currently the area covers an essential part of the subject of the international private law, namely all its key areas - international jurisdiction, recognition and enforcement offoreign judicial decisions, determination of applicable law and legal aid among the courts throughout the Union. A bigger uncovered space is left in the field of applicable law, but there already exist new projects. Altogether, this area seems to be an organic functional complex, which bridges the territorial limits of the nationaljudicial systems. 2. This area is a very dynamic one. The European...

The nurses role in ensuring the need of sleep in hospitalized children
KADLEČKOVÁ, Aneta
Abstract Sleep disorders occur frequently during child development. Cause of these disorders are physical but more frequently psychogenic. In diploma work we addressed the nurse role dealing with sleep necessity for child in-patients.. In the theoretical part we dealt with sleep characteristic, sleep disorders and child needs which can be detected not only with child in-patients in hospital ward. Furthermore we engaged in sleep fysiology and other factors which can influence the sleep quality. In the quest for that I did use the semi-structured conversation conducted in hospital child ward in Tábor hospital a.s .and České Budějovice hospital a.s. The conversation contained 15 questions which were answered individually by nurses. Data collection took place in April, 2012. The total number of questioned nurses was 16. In the connection with the theme 2/two objectives and 2 research questions were set. To achieve the objective it was necessary to find what is important to secure child in-patient sleep and find if nurses provide conditions for child in-patient quality sleep. The research questions were raised: ? What principles are considered by nurses to be important to secure the child in-patient sleep mode? ? and secondly ? How the nurses secure the conditions for quality sleep of the child in-patient? ?. As for the theoretical field concerns the nurses do not have the basic knowledge of the sleep fysiology (REM, non REM). As it comes out from response of the nurses, each nurse has an individual opinion of the factors which ensure the child in-patient quality sleep. The conditions for quality sleep are secured by nurses in creating quiet environment, cool room and where necessary also their presence with falling asleep children. The diploma work results are individual On the basis of these findigs, I consider to be necessary, the educative material to be worked out and acquaint the child nurses with its content.

Rehabilitation and activation of immobile and bed-ridden patients in care facilities
DUCHKOVÁ, Alena
Abstract The birth-rate falls and mortality declines owing to improving social-economic conditions in all advanced countries. More and more people live longer and the old age is becoming corporate phenomenon. Health state of seniors gets worse with an elongating age. Specific geriatric syndromes influence the quality of their lives, immobilization syndrom lays them up and it adverts them to a help of others. In my bachelor work I have aimed mainly at older immobile patients who are hospitalized in hospitels in post-care wards and I also aimed at immobile seniors who live in rest homes. Activation of immobile clients is very important, it could partly compensate the missing family life, its cares and joys and at the same time any maningful activity provides person with a life purpose, feeling of own importance. It is ideal to reveal needs and desires of immobile clients and also to offer them relative activities and accomplish them effectively. Big part of this duty falls on own patient{\crq}s family. The family cannot always fulfill their task either because family cannot take care or in a worse case the family do not want to. This work in a theoretic part consits of chapters connected to given problems, it means definition of notions immobility and immobilization syndrom, examples of different forms of activation, relation and connections between health and a quality of patient{\crq}s life. In a research part I have dealt with an influence of activation on a patient from a nurses` point of view, I have also dealt with possibilities of accomplishing activating methods in different medical facilities and nurses` competence and their ralation to an activation. The aim of my research is to find out whether a suitable activation influences a dependence of an immobile patient on his surroundings and whether it shows it on a quality of patient{\crq}s life from a nurses` point of view. Second aim of my work was to compare and activation of immobile patients among different medical facilities. I have chosen a post-care wards and a rest home for comparing activation. The first hypothesis confirmed during a research and the hypothesis is that a suitable activation declines dependence of an immobile patient on other people. According to my research the second hypothesis also confirmed and the hypothesis is that psycho-social patient{\crq}s conditions have improved through an activation therapy in different medical facilities. I have used a method of a survey with a help of questionnaire for getting needed facts to achieving goals and answering hypothesis of a quantitative survey. The questionnaire consisted of 18 questions focused on patients` activation in given wards, on kinds of activation, on aids and sufficient conditions for activation carrying out, on nurses` competence and on an influence of activation on a patient{\crq}s life quality. The questionnaire was given just to nurses and was anonymous. I have compared the results among given wards.

Title: Statistical image analysis in quality control Author: David Legát Department: Department of probability and mathematical statistics Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Jaromír Antoch, CSc. Abstract: Currently, necessity to handle unstructured data rises significantly. One important area of unstructured data manipulation is signal processing such as audio and video, for which there exist many procedures. This work deals with the statistical approach to image processing, in which the image is interpreted as a representative of a random field. It describes two problems: removing noise from an image which facilitates better interpretation of the image, and image classification, in which we try to identify and recognize objects displayed. Part of the work aimed at eliminating of noise deals primarily with the use of MCMC simulation methods. These procedures can be tested in software that is included. Part of the work dealing with the classification of the image describes various modifications of classification trees methods. An example of image processing, which is the identification of defects in woven fabrics, is presented at the end. 1
