The Importance of Regional Gastronomy in South Bohemia

This thesis deals with the topic of gastronomy in the tourism industry in the region of South Bohemia, Czech Republic. It focuses mainly on regional meals, major food industry companies in the region and on local gastronomic events. The final part tries to analyze the offer of regional gastronomy and the awareness of local inhabitants about South Bohemia cuisine.
A Regional Travel Agency's Operations

The aim of this thesis is to analyze and compare the existence, role and activities of travel agencies in the Czech Republic dealing incomming and domestic tourism in a particular region. The work focuses on the region of South Bohemia, which is below further defined. The main method for this analysis is the research of catalogs and Web sites of travel agents and agencies, which operate in the region. Information about services and products offered are further examined in the sub-analysis according to various aspects.
The position of Štěkeň chateau in tourism

Štěkeň chateau is an interesting and as yet undiscovered cultural monument, which is located in the tourist region of South Bohemia. It was built in 1665 in an early baroque style and at present it is open to the public and serves as a place for recreation and education. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the position of this chateau in the Jihočeský district, to describe its potential, to analyse if the chateau is competitive with other cultural monuments and to suggest possibilities how attendance to this monument can be increased.
