Study of the influence of separator modification on the properties of Li-S batteries
Řehák, Petr ; Jaššo, Kamil (referee) ; Kazda, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the development and current issues of Li-ion and Li-S accumulators, especially the separators. In the theoretical part is described history of Li-ion batteries, their properties and materials for the positive electrode. Li-S batteries and their problems are also described in this diploma thesis. In the practical part, electrochemical methods were described, and several separator samples with various modifications were created. These samples were then photographed using an SEM electron microscope and evaluated using electrochemical methods.
Multicyclone treatment behind biomass boiler
Vafek, Petr ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with multitube cyclone changes leading to improve separating efficiency of solid particles. The thesis begins with theoretical part, in which the attributes and types of solid particle separators focusing on cyclones are presented. The practical part begins with separating efficiency and pressure drop calculation of the specific multitube cyclone. Subsequently the separating problem is explained and the changes leading to eliminating this problem are presented and evaluated. In the last and main part of thesis the design project including piping design and fan choice is created.
Conductivity of PVA Membranes Containing Hydroxides of Alkali Metals
Kunovjánek, Miroslav ; Vanýsek, Petr (referee) ; Studničková, Marie (referee) ; Vondrák, Jiří (advisor)
Thesis deals with study of separators and membranes, suitable for using in alkali electrochemical applications like fuel cells or electrolysis. As basic material for membranes production is used polyvinylalkohol (PVA). Various methods of PVA cross linking are introduced in the thesis. PVA membranes are also doped by various types of additives to improve the attributes of the membranes like mechanical stability and or conductivity. The aim of the work is verification of parameters of membranes, doped by alkali hydroxides KOH, NaOH and LiOH at various temperatures. These hydroxides are added to the membrane especially for increasing of membrane conductivity.

Structural design of the high-pressure separator with focus on the flange connection
Šmarda, Radek ; Klučka, Ivan (referee) ; Lošák, Pavel (advisor)
The first part of the diploma thesis deals with research in the field of design of process apparatuses. The research continues describing the function, division and main parts of separators. The research part ends with a more detail overview of flange connections. The second part deals with the design and control calculations of the separator using ČSN EN 13445-3 with tightness-strength calculation of the main flange join using ČSN EN 1591-1. At the end of the second part, partial calculations are performed using finite element method in the ANSYS Workbench R2 program, which aim to verify the required tightness of the joint and describe the effect of the bolts tightening procedure on the gasket.
Study of the influence of the used separator on the electrochemical properties of the accumulator
Řehák, Petr ; Skala, Kateřina (referee) ; Kazda, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the historical development and the current issue of Li-ion accumulators, especially the separators. In the theoretical part is described history of batteries, their distribution and materials for the positive electrode of Li-ion accumulators. In the practical part, several samples with different types of separators were created and their properties were measured using electrochemical methods. Then the samples were compared with each other.
Pěstování a sklizeň brambor: příprava výukových materiálů
BÍBA, Ondřej
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide an overview of machines used for potato growing. The work is separated into chapters, one machine per chapter. With every machine there is an overview of the machine itself, its agrotechnical overview, description of how the machine works and description of the individual parts. This work is intended to be used as educational text for students of The Agricultural Faculty at University of South Bohemia.
Design and development of the electrostatic precipitator
Kvasnička, Karel ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of an electrostatic precipitator and familiarization with the problems of separation on these separators. The aim of this work is to construct a functional model of an electrostatic precipitator. The principle of operation and design will be described. In addition, the design of a separator is elaborated, which was subsequently realized and experimentally verified in the CVVOZE Power Laboratories Research Infrastructure. The first part deals with the description of the legislation on air protection, the most frequent input material of separators and descriptions of the basic types of separators. In addition, the electric separator, its area of use, construction and individual components, as well as the undesirable operating state of the separator, are further elaborated. In the second part are presented the equations and calculations for the design of the separator. In the next part, the separator designer and his laboratory tests are described. The separator was subjected to basic voltage tests from the viewpoint of its operating voltage. Its functionality fits the realized experiments up to 30 kV. On the basis of this work and the production of the equipment, it is possible in the future to test the properties of flue gases and other gases.
